Brushwood This place is the worst. Its the truly awful staff and management that ruin it. No towels, free complimentary cockroaches, shower doesnt work had to use a bucket and jug that took several mins to fill 1 bucket LOLZ...pressure is that low, windows had thick blue plastic sheets over wtf? toilet seat sits on floor, toilet doesnt flush or refill, previous guests beer bottles on room floor never got removed in over a week. Only half cleaned room 2 times in 9 days, no air con despite messaging, massive 3ft holes in bathroom roof, no fridge, staff arguing tops of their voices at at 3am outside our room door, late night/early morning till dawn staff parties. Music at about 20,000watts at 8.45am from gym woke every chalet up the whole wooden shed hotel actually shook as they are only thin panels with no sound proof so everyone is disturbed, no breakfast 3 times in a week and no explanation despite being included in rate, even the local mosque next doors call to prayer booms thru at 6am daybreak, all the staff do is mess on their phones, of the 10 staff only 2 speak a very small bit of pigeon english, tv has rt news and france 24 plus a few local indian channels but nothing else on tv ....dont even know why its there! When we complained about all the noise, arguments and blasting niteclub music problems at 8am the inept manager "sangash" said he cant control his guests when it was his staff doing the noise! Basically nobody is in control , the whole thing is out of control and a comedy nitemare. Breakfast room music is on number 8 and loud , when we asked for a bit lower volume like level 3, they turned all off? 5mins later they laughed and put it on full volume again. They make coffee with cold chilled water for a joke , asked for a simple bedsheet every day but only got one single sheet for 2 people on 1 day of 9, the tea is hours old and boiled up to death and sour , the probs go on and on . One night all the chalet elecs tripped and no electricity, on top of the usual 10 times at day power cuts, wifi signal slow only 1mbps download and 0.7 upload. When we checked in an english couple were leaving due to same probs. When we left early another english couple were saying they would like to leave too and had mice in their room. Yuk. Whats worse is the staff just give you evil glares, gossip and laugh at you in indian, its all rather quite sinister and snide, and nobody ever even says hello let alone make you feel welcome like the goans usially do. Dirty looks and sniggers behind your backs. It was like being in prison. Weve visited india over 10 times for up to 5weeks each time so know hotel standards are not western standards and we really tried hard to make it work so we aren't stupid, but reluctantly after a week long war every single day just for simple things like a hot coffee or piece if toast for the free breakfast , a toilet, shower or bedsheet, enough was enough and checked out. Despite saying they would refund if it was too noisy they went back on their word and laughed at us!! Dirty scammers , Do not book here its pathetic and a total disgrace. Its just full of staff out of control, gangs of indian customers usually gangs of several young lads being noisy and the hotel is run like a joke due to weak management 'sangash' who says "we cannot control anything that happens in our hotel" . Shady complex ruined by inept untrustworthy lazy staff . Be warned , out of 30 or 40 places weve stayed this is ranked firmly bottom.

We stayed here over new years eve for 3 nights as most accomodation was sold out. It was ample for what we needed. No air con but a fan on the ceiling did cool the room enough. It is a bit out of the way but we just hired a bike from a local man (Yanoor) down the road. Lovely views out towards the jungle. I would recommend to anyone looking for cheap and cheerful accomodation.

We expected more from the photos, but it was ok. Room was big and fresh. Same with the toilet, although the smell was not nice. Location is good but it was hard to find it as the sign it is too small. The place is ok but we missed more warmth and cozyness.

RUN FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! Asked me to pay full amount upfront. That was the mistake I did (that too because I was travelling with a 9 month old baby). What followed was torture. No electricity, no water, no room service! Can you imagine what hell it would have been with a baby around? Only 1 towel was provided initially and I literally had to beg for some bottled water and fresh towels. The next morning I’d asked for the room to be cleaned, and the guy just used my towel to clean the toilet. I noticed this when I’d asked him to mop the floor and he wrapped the same towel around his mop and, get this, DRY MOPPED it (only to make it dirtier btw)! Cherry on the cake was when I made complaints about all this, they agreed to refund me and took my bank details. They said it was their policy to refund customer if customer was not satisfied. I’s been 3 weeks today and after trying to contact them forever, I’ve decided to write this review and warn anyone looking to stay here. Run far far away! Staff was least motivated to help customer. Guy at the frontdesk did not know his job. He made us wait for 40 mins before checking us in because he was “new” and did not know how to check using a booking Number! The very same guy refuses to stop watching a movie behind the desk when I approach him and ask him for some water! Place is D I R T Y! I’ve uploaded some pics here. Remove the pillow covers or check behind/under the bed for visual treats and some bug friends!
