Detailed Reviews
We stayed for 8 nights at Anahata Retreat for holidays. Overall satisfied, but for the rate paid, 19,500 Rs per night, we expected better service!
On the highs: location is top, spot on the beach, nice and quiet property with nice ambience. The quality of the food is excellent: breakfast is limited but of good quality, juices are fresh and very good.
There are however some lows, taking into account the rates of this property: rooms are basic, air conditioning is noisy, toiletries are very average, housekeeping forgot twice to clean the room, the are not enough sunbeds on the beach, as a result guests reserve beds resulting in daily arguments (and staff couldn't care less). The major improvement need is the lousy attitude of restaurant staff, which clearly had no proper training in customer service (except for Pradeep who was the only one working) One almost needs to beg for coffee, cutlery, sugar, and so on. I have no issues if this were a cheap beach shack, but not a 5-star priced resort. Management was invisible as well. Clearly some work needs to be done to improve service!

We wanted a relaxed stay away from all the crowd. After scanning a few properties at Ashwem, we decided to choose Anahata Retreat. Booked a sea facing cottage for a week. The view from the cottage was breathtaking.
Pranesh greeted us on arrival and we had a hassle free check in. We were presented with some cakes and drinks as well. The room was well clean, maintained and all facilities in working condition (A/C, hot water, fridge etc)
Since it was a laid back vacation, most of our meals were in L'Atelier - Seaside Restaurant. Evenings they have artists playing live music few days a week, we loved the entire vibe. They served good and well presented variety of food and drinks and we received excellent service from everyone, especially from Hemant & Prince. They took good care of us & made our stay comfortable. Thanks to chef Parmeet, the love she poured while making our food made it divine.
One of the days, we happen to take their yoga class. Alisha- our yoga instructor, asked us our health condition and if any injury and any particular area to work on. She conducted an amazing class. Truly grateful.
After a couple of days, we decided to rent a bike and Pranesh was kind enough to help us book one.
The staff was friendly, helpful and always a phone call away. Satpal & Santosh kept checking on us if we needed anything.
Atish made sure our bill was ready when we checked out and booked us a cab back to the airport in 10 mins.
Overall a lovely experience and most importantly great service. Would definitely revisit again.
Suggestions- Wifi could be improved & since the kitchen closes around 10:30pm, May be they could include a Microwave in the room.

Booked a Sea View Suite for a week end of January. Perfect location, lovely quiet, very clean beach, very chilled. Food at Anahata was lovely, there was also a bar/restaurant next door on the beach that done excellent food, also the Palm Grove a short walk along the beach was great. There was a private yoga group during our stay, and as mentioned in another review there were yoga sessions advertised for twice a day but often the guy didn't turn up. While the location of our accommodation couldn't be faulted the interior was very tired looking, and the bathroom almost grubby, nothing that a touch of paint wouldn't fix ! But friends showed us their Garden Villa which was amazing would definitely go for one of those next time. Loads of mosquitoes ! a good spray is a must !! Overall loved it and would definitely go back.

Good place to stay. Perfect cottages with balcony. Rooms do not have gates for the lavatory and bathroom , and in a way it's cool and helps build trust on the other. Complimentary breakfast option was very limited and it should be better. AC in the Garden view cottages was not available.
But overall it's pretty calm and relaxing with best beach in Goa.

What a great find, a beautiful resort, with spacious and immaculate rooms with artistically designed rustic décor. Lovely outlook of the beach.
If you enjoy peaceful setting with a jazz music playing at the restaurant, uniquely situated on the cleanest beach of Goa & away from the madness of Bagga/Calangute then this is the place to stay.
We loved the warm and welcoming atmosphere and friendly, relaxed hospitality. Specially the lovely dogs they have around.

Initially we planed to stay in W Goa ( as Marriott Ambassador guest have many privileges) but we choose Anahata in North Goa to stay close to the nature and clean beach. our decision is 100% correct and Anahata is too wonderful and we regret for not staying for longer duration.
This resort is right on the beach with serene environment. The breakfast and food is nice with limited menu but have many shacks and restaurants near by.
The owner Rishaal is very caring and personally supervise the place. This resort is perfect for families and friends and groups who love the nature and clean beaches. It is like paradise on earth.

+1
Anahata retreat is undoubtedly the most beautiful resort I have stayed at in Goa. Our room had the most breathtaking view and we would laze for hours in the balcony watching the ocean. The restaurant is also top-class : right on the beach, fantastic food, beautiful soothing music, super friendly staff who are always eager to give you the best experience. I have been to Goa 4 times in the last 3 years and have stayed in various hotels, all of them were good but Anahata is the best of the best. It’s truly a slice of paradise. Special mention for Satpaul who went an extra mile to ensure our stay was perfect! Stay here when you’re in Goa and thank me later;)

The service is sometimes late, the kitchen is a mess . I ordered butter chicken and come up with pair of medium long hairs in the gravy. Terrible hygiene in the kitchen . Otherwise the staff is accommodating of the request but rooms are way smaller for the price you pay . You can easily find better and cheaper options where food hygiene and rooms are bigger .

The most pathetic experience in terms of guest relationships. The property is on beach front which is very beautiful but the experience is pathetic. No one to assist you. No replenishing of the water, no one to greet you , no one to assist you. Feels like u just checked in to some 2nd grade hotel. There was no one to check as to how the stay was going on, and to that while on Check out , no one bothered to ask if the stay was comfortable rather they just handed over the bill to us , I mean the worst guest relationships ever.
While checking in we were sent to our room , neither the AC was switched on nor they explained us the basics of the room or their services nothing at all’ !! I mean this is the basic hospitality manners that one should have.
Moreover they charged us a whopping amount of money for the stay, however their actual rates were way lower for those dates, the point is not even about paying the money but the experience was EXTREMELY PATHETIC !
We were coordinating with Satpaul from the team for our stay but neither him nor the team bothered to check us during the stay.
We had booked the top category well in advance and they charged us 23500 for a night but their actual rates for that category was 16000 AI
I would not recommend this property to anyone for their stay especially when you are paying so much and the experience you get is horrible.

Lovely cute looking cottages by the beach with very friendly & extremely helpful staff! The cafe is by the beach & food is good. However, for a premium stay of this price was slightly disappointed with the rooms - a.c was not working properly & cottage didn’t have curtains. The rooms certainly can be better maintained for the price.
