The location of this Han is absolutely beautiful, but the beauty is taken away by what you find inside: we went there not in season, March. The owner I thing a lady half Hungarian half Romanian offered to give us food without a menu she had it in her head...no wonder they did not have that much...in the meantime while...

We were so nicely welcomed here for a quick lunch on our way to Moldova that I can't help myself but wish we'd have an opportunity to return. The place is well arranged, clean and nicely decorated. The food is, simply put, amazing! So good that a friend who was a bit sick ate two helpings of the chicken soup...

This is a very old place, used in the past for the army, being near the border. The lady holding this business is the "one man show" of the place. She is showing you the cosy rooms, and she is serving you the meals. She is great, very friendly and you don't need a menu, she recommends you the best....

I enjoyed many times this place. It's hard to make you understand why is special. First of all is the inn: it's new, traditional and comfortable, original, historical, warmly designed. Second: the food - as my friend says: it's exactly the way my grandmother used to cook. Really - excellent food. And third but not last: the landscape - in...

Hanul Anselmo Fogado is the perfect place to relax with your family or a group of friends all year round.In winter you can go sledging on a horse-drawn sleigh and drink hot wine and palinka of Covasna, or go hunting; the other seasons you can go trekking and admire the beautiful landscape. We offer all-inclusive accommodation all year.We organize conferences and parties on different occasions. You can take part in drives organized by professional hunters or go hunting in one of the three hunting territories, the area being known for the richness of its fauna.The pension has central heating, satellite TV and parking place. There is also a place where you can have a barbecue, camp-fire and a big grass-covered yard for children to play.Hanul Anselmo Fogado has the following services:We provide accommodation, restaurant, organize ceremonies, parties or conferences. You can go hunting and watching wild animals, horse-riding, horse-and-cart ride in the summer, sledging in the winter. You can go walking, trekking or make a trip to the bear watch, go fishing, make camp-fire, play games and relax.Accomodation. We have 10 rooms which have recently been renovated, 6 of them in the Juliska House and 4 in the Pittino House.All rooms have: separate bathrooms, satellite TV, central heating, hot water, shower, minibar. In the older part of the inn there are five rooms with double and simple beds with a shared bathroom at a very convenient price.The Pittino House. A new separate building, erected according to the plans of the old house of the frontiers. It has four bedrooms with king size beds, each having its own bathroom and satellite TV.There is a living room comfortably furnished, with open fireplace.The Pittino House can be rented by families or a group of friends; it is the perfect choice to celebrate in an intimate way, or just spend a few days of your holiday in a picturesque place in the mountains.The Juliska HouseThe Juliska House is a new building, named after Pittino Anselmo’s wife, erected according to the plans of the old customs office.It has 6 big and cosy rooms with separate bathrooms, satellite TV and minibar.The big conference room with 25-30 places has an audio-video system, fireplace, coaches, armchairs and large tables. Jacuzzi and sauna are also available for those who want to relax and have a good time.The Anselmo restaurant The Anselmo restaurant is a typically Romanian and Hungarian restaurant with 80 places to sit.You can have breakfast, lunch and dinner in a rustic, nice and airy restaurant which has an open fireplace, with an exit to the backyard of the inn, where you can find a terrace and a place for barbecue and camp-fire.The menu contains different traditional tasty Romanian and Hungarian dishes. The specialty of the Anselmo restaurant is the smoked trout or trout made in different traditional ways. Personalized menus are also available for vegetarians and guests on a special diet. At request, the Anselmo restaurant organizes buffet in the conference room or parties in the Pittino House, barbecue in the backyard, cooking goulash on open fire.The Hunting Area. We organize hunting in the game preserve all year and in open season in one of the three hunting areas nearby.
