Me and my husband stayed at Utshwayelo first in 2013. We have been back 3 times since then, which says enough. The tents and the huts are clean and comfortable. The outdoor showers are amazing. The kitchen is perfectly equipped, the swimming pool is great, and the bar is the coolest! The entrance to the beautiful Kosi bay mouth is... More

A beautiful, very well run campsite with chalets right at the gate to the Kosi Bay estuary mouth. The affable and smiling Ken manages the place and will organise trips around the area for you. We went on a fabulous boat ride through the lakes where the bird watching was amazing. Close up to herons, calling Burchell's coucal, and a... More

If you don't mind rustic rooms and a bit of gravel road to get there then this is a good place to go. Ken is a very helpful chap and will give you tips as well as organise tours for you. He employs lots of local staff to help the community which are all very nice.

Great staff and very friendly and personalised service! Atmosphere also great in such an unspoiled paradise. And not yet too touristy! Relaxing spot with great chalets and safari tents. Great value for money.

This area is really beautiful and Utshwayelo is a beautifully placed, but rustic way to see it. We had a wonderful boat trip and really enjoyed the lakes and beach. Facilities were clean and neat. The only thing we'd have loved a little more view from the chalets ....

As always, we enjoyed our stay. Excellent campsites, very quiet. You can here the ocean 2km away at night. There was just one thing i missed during my stay, the Fish eagles! They used to wake me up in the morning, but this time they were nowhere to be found. Maybe the weather played a role. I will definitely visit... More

Our 1st visit to this part of SA. It had always been on my bucket list. Did a fair bit of research before booking our accommodation and must say we were really happy with all that Utshwayelo offered. We camped for the duration of our one week stay. Our site was one of the smaller ones but we found it... More

During my Kosi Bay trip in June I've camped two nights at Utshwayelo. Enoch and Ken made us feel right at home. The ablution facilities were always clean and the campsite under the trees excellent. It is situated at the gate of Kosi Mouth where we did snorkeling out of this world. Birding in the camp also produced three "lifers"... More

The place is run professionally and is conveniently placed at the gate to the mouth . this makes it easy for a licence and the camp itself is a awesome place to rest and enjoy the tropical outdoor. Its a must for anyone travelling there for the first time.
