I would highly recommend staying in Roc Luxe hotel when in Tulum. We stayed at the Beach Suite, and it was absolutely stunning to wake up to the sound of the sea and sunrise every morning. The hotel is beautifully furnished from rooms to the restaurant/bar and beach area. Very tasteful and trendy decorations, including their Insta worthy entrance. The stay was so comfortable, we didn’t even need to leave the resort as everything you’d want on a holiday was provided. The customer services were top notch all the way from A to Z of our stay here. We absolutely loved our room. All white decorations made us feel as we were in a little heaven. The bed was huge and comfortable. The room included a variety of little details and touches that were so cute (your own beach bag, flip-flops, yoga matt, dressing gowns), the room was cleaned every day and water refilled every afternoon. The choice of their breakfast was incredible, there’s something for everyone, and the food in general was some of the best food we’ve had in Tulum (especially their Octopus Tacos). They also have their own pool (not many hotels on the strip do), which was amazing to cool down in after a whole day of beaching on their swinging sunbeds. They also had their own gym/yoga classes across the road and we also loved the Ladies night they threw one of the days. We had such an amazing relaxing time here thanks to their attentive staff, and we cannot wait to come back soon!

The jungle rooms were about a 1/4 mile down a dirty road, Once in you room, you felt like you were in the jungle. The showers are mostly glass to the outside and into the room. Great for couples, less great for friends and family. Some of the interior buildings/rooms had their showers along a walkway. Ours was on the outside of the property, so we just saw jungle.

The breakfast was delicious. The free breakfast came with really nice fruit platters. We typically also added/shared an omelette, which was also amazing and only $11usd. Do watch out for tricky add-on to the bill. Everyday we (and others) got free OJ and tea/coffee refills. The last day they changed $5USD for a single additional cheap lipton tea. They refunded it, but argued it and had to get 4 or 5 people involved.

Overall great staff. Great place.

Good hotel. Delicious breakfasts. A minimum set is included, but dishes can be ordered for a small amount. They cook delicious. The hotel is atmospheric, I advise you to take it from the sea, the rooms are beautiful, spacious, clean and tidy, the territory is monitored every day.

Many write about problems with the service. and it really ruins everything. There were problems with the check-in. I asked for the manager's number.
His name is Ruben, I am very grateful to him. He smoothed out all the corners. He was in touch at night and even in the morning during non-working hours! Controlled all issues. Thanks to him and his assistant Julio, I was satisfied with the stay and will gladly recommend to friends. The hotel is good, the only thing that the owner needs to work on is the team building. For example, security guards work instead of bellmen, that's Okay. but you need to train the staff how to work with guests. And add a little more discipline for the attendants, waiters, security guards. There are many competitors, and all hotels are about the same, the only thing that can distinguish you now is good service :)

Thanks again Ruben and Julio for their efforts and care about guest and for the Roc Luxe Hotel brand

Hotel seemed nice upon check in, staff seemed friendly, but they try to upcharge you for everything and are SO scammy. The restaurant is extremely overpriced and the “jungle cabanas” they advertise as near the beach, are a far tuk tuk ride to a different property altogether.

We also found spiders in our bed which freaked me out. But the worst that happened that ruined our last night of our honeymoon when the power went out in the middle of the night for the whole hotel. AC, fans, everything turned off and the rooms got super hot and humid. They offered us to move rooms at 1 in the morning to one with a fan, there’s no way we could sleep in that heat so we moved even though we had to be up at 6 to catch our shuttle to the airport.

To top it all off, when we were checking out and needing to get in our shuttle, the girl at the front desk wouldn’t let us leave unless we paid for an electronic cigarette (they charged $70 USD) that was supposedly in the room when we checked in. We never saw an electronic cigarette and had a picture of the room upon check in with no cigarette in sight. She sat there and argued with us, making our shuttle driver wait 30 extra minutes making us late to the airport. You’d think after what we had just experienced the night before resulting in no sleep, they could’ve waived the bogus scammy 1000 pesos charge, but no. This was an absolute overpriced, horrible Tulum experience, and we will never return. DO NOT STAY HERE

It was a mess from the beginning to the end, location is amazing but little did I know they'd pull out a huge blasting speaker in the middle of the day for 5 people not even dancing for the whole weekend. Online it looked amazing and we paid so much for our "peaceful vacation". I've been a Tulum lover for many years and this is upsetting, places like this one are ruining the vibe Tulum offers at such high costs. This is not what people pay for to be in first line at the beach, this is just NOT ok, if you want to contribute to destroying Tulum's beautiful image this is the place for you.

Terrible. We reserved a jungle treehouse and right after we unpacked, the electricity went out. We were told that they could upgrade us to a beach room. We agreed, and packed all our stuff to move. Then we were told that we would have to pay the difference for the upgrade. We paid it but weren’t happy about it.

Other reviewers mentioned the music and I kind of ignored it, but actually the music doesn’t end until 10pm. On top of that, other guests were playing loud music until 11…we had to request that someone at the hotel ask them to stop.

This is not the hotel’s fault, but the sargassum is out of control in the area and smells awful. I think the hotel next door is abandoned so the seaweed just piles up and the smell is unholy. I know it would cause them to lose money, but they really should warn guests before they book.

We left after 1 night but the hotel said it was “our preference” even though the room we booked with the amenities we booked was not available…and therefore they could not guarantee our money back.

Staying at Roc Luxe Tulum was one of the best decisions for our trip. It was effortless to communicate with the staff through WhatsApp chat and they made amazing recommendations for food and outings. They helped us to find activities that were even better than the ones we had planned in the first place.

We walked along the beach and thought Roc Luxe Tulum was easily the best spot out of all the hotels. The floating beds on the beach were amazing and it was the PERFECT location. It was within walking distance of most night life and food options and far enough from the beach clubs, so it wasn’t loud.

10/10 would recommend.

They charged my credit card on a booking that was supposed to be paid at check-in as stated on their website when I booked. I requested to cancel my booking but didn't hear back. I went to Tulum and stayed at a different hotel so I went to visit Roc. They told me to give them my bank info an they will process my refund right away. I gave it to them the same day and now 4 months later I still don't have it!! It's a lot of money so I'm looking into legal action.

This is more of a two to three star resort. Absolutely not a 5 star. Restaurant extremely over priced, more expensive than austin/Miami drink prices. A side of fries and a sprite was 20 US dollars…… the room experience was more like glamping. The pool was the best part. The Mia beach club about a mile away was amazing, clean beach, someone always working on the seaweed, and the service was top notch. At roc luxe you will always be covered in sand but that may just be a tulum thing. We just felt like we were always getting scammed and over charged through tulum. We would def chose an all inclusive next time. No more hotels for us!

This is a very special hotel. if you want to be up on the beach with the Action they have Casitas right up next to the beach and the bar.

But more importantly they have Casitas on the opposite side of the road back into the jungle, that’s where we stayed, it was extremely secluded, it quiet and quite beautiful and unique experience.

We spent all day sitting in the open restaurant on the beach. Our new favorite office. They were attentive but gave you as much space as you needed. Luis served us breakfast with a smile, Manual spent one day feeding us breakfast lunch and dinner. Teo made sure everything ran smoothly…. Marcellino made sure we didn’t need anything…

And “nacho” from the front desk could not have been nicer… no matter what language you speak he speaks it!

Marco told us “we just want you to be happy” and it showed.
