Colonial style. Experience the charm of a bygone era and informal luxury in the Old Director’s bungalow. The bungalow offers our members a "non-hotel" atmosphere where our manager, chef, butler and support staff together make you feel at home. Garden flowers, log fires and home grown vegetables all contribute to the comfortable feeling of a well maintained home. All the bedrooms have kept their original period furniture including old ceiling-fans and antique cast iron bathtubs. You will be well cared for with morning tea in bed, daily flowers in your room and chocolate brownies for tea. You have a choice between staying in the Old Director’s Bungalow or in one of our luxury cottages offering spectacular views of the river Brahmaputra. Each cottage has a large balcony from where to enjoy the passing river and surrounding lush vegetation. On clear days the Eastern Himalayan mountain range becomes visible forming a spectacular back-drop behind the Brahmaputra. All furniture has been designed exclusively for our cottages by the Swedish furniture designer Anna Leckström. Each cottage is fully equipped with air-conditioning, satellite TV, mini-bar, and a safety deposit box. All bathrooms offer walk-in rain showers and have hair-dryers. We realize that privacy and relaxation, comfort and well-being are of importance to our guests.

This a perfect place for a quaint family getaway. Koliabor Manor is a wonderful experience to savour. The management and staff is very friendly and the place is well managed. The rooms are a mix of classy, colonial with the modern! Highly recommended!

This manor is semi colonial..located at the silent banks of Brahmaputra..overlooking a green tea garden.the place is huge and has great potential.only two cottages are functional as of now which needs to be booked in advance.rooms are large with great view of the river.amenities are adequate. The owner Mr Prasanta made sure of our comfort well aided by Napeoleon. Two cooks were there, both of them made fabulous dishes as we wanted.recomendations are Naga style pork..local chicken curry.bikes are available for local sight seeing.thank you so much for your hospitality.Keep up the good work n quality:-)

Location is pristine and excellent. Rooms well appointed and clean.

Extremely unprofessional management - doesn't even know how to communicate with the guests.

Food is terrible and highly overpriced. Service poor.

A very bad experience.

Awesome Assam has abundance with natural beauty and gift of God in its every corner. Red River (Brahmaputra) and Blue Hills with its flora & fauna, wild animals, birds, flowers, people, food and its rich culture always attracts many visitors since the days of Hwen Ts'ang – the Chinese traveler in 7th century AD.

A true new-age entrepreneur, has utilized all his skills, knowledge, resources and the bonding with Assam, with years of experience in hospitality management, has built a river side eco -friendly retreat called ‘Koliabor Manor” in a natural hillock in Silghat, Nagaon District, appx. 170 km east from Guwahati. An ideal destination to rejuvenate yourself amidst the lush green tea gardens in surroundings with breathtaking views of mighty Brahmaputra, picturesque view of Bhumuraguri Bridge, natural atmosphere with pleasant songs of birds, infinity swimming pool, mouthwatering cuisines to cater all taste buds – a real holiday destination for all.

An inaugural offer contains premium family rooms with complementary Dinner & Breakfast. No extra costs for children, with a very reasonable rate of Rs. 5,000/- with above all. Please contact – Prasanta Borgohain (Proprietor) 7635800878 or 6000820067 for details & reservations.

After numerous weekend trips to Kaziranga over the years we found the major resorts and hotels during season being overrun by tourists. Had seen photos of Kaliabor Manor posted by a friend Reeturaj of Go Northeast and so this time we decided that this should be our next holiday destination in Assam. Called up Mr Prasanta and checked availabilty. The gentleman that he is, he told me to come over and dint even ask for an advance. The resort is in a beautiful tea garden and has the mighty Brahmaputra flowing on one side. We were received by his team led by Manoj and Martha at the parking and were led to our cottage. The staff are very attentive and well behaved. The resort at present consists of two cottages and each has two kingside beds which can accommodate two adults and two children. Due to the floor to ceiling glass windows one can wake up in bed to the sight of the river flowing past. The resort has a clean infinity pool which again has a great view and breakfast and lunch can be had here. Walks can be taken in the tea garden when not lazing around poolside over tea and pakoras. We were served a complementary dinner (yummy authentic assamese thali) and breakfast (wide spread including alu parathas, omelets, toast, corn flakes, juice, tea.). Food can also be had in the restaurant which is built like a machan and has views of the tea garden on one side and the river on the other. We were allowed a late check-out and left after a lunch that was again top. The rates now is Rs 10,000 for a cottage with complimentary breakfast and dinner. We will return again soon.
