The Grand Hyatt Goa garners praise for its serene and elegant atmosphere, with guests frequently lauding its beautiful grounds and luxurious rooms. While reviews for service are mixed, with some reporting exceptional attentiveness and others noting slower responses, the hotel's cleanliness receives consistent acclaim. The location is a highlight, offering picturesque bay views and a tranquil ambiance. Amenities, including the spa and pools, contribute substantially to the guest experience, though opinions on value vary, with some questioning the price point given occasional service hiccups.

We arrived at 1:30am Monday morning and we received a warm welcome with a cold towel and soft drinks. Once we checked in we were taken by golf buggy to our rooms in Block 6. Both next to each other.
The rooms were spacious and very clean.
There’s a great choice of breakfast and you won’t be disappointed. Get there early and the service is good. Bit slower when it’s full. Chefs making anything and everything.
The staff were fantastic and we had no complaints. We ate at the Italian, Indian and Asian restaurants and they were all really good and value for money.
We managed to go out site seeing and visiting the beach at Candolim. The hotel organised a driver for 5 hours and only cost £26. He waited for us and took us everywhere. Also waited while we had dinner
You really can not fault this hotel

Grand Hyatt Goa, an excellent location, and a comfortable distance from the airport and the North Goa beach, it is situated at the Bambolim bay with its own private beach accessible from the resort.

It is a modern hotel with an influence of Portuguese architecture, it has been one of the plushest properties I have stayed in, while in Goa. From the airport transfers to the check in process, everything was so smooth and personalized, from the moment we landed in Goa to the time I was inside my room, the total time would not have been more than 90 mins. The property is huge with more than 300 rooms divided in to Guest houses and the ambiance of the whole resort is very festive and the mood upbeat despite the social distancing and Covid protocols being followed. Another plus for me is the private beach which is extremely safe to swim too due to calm waters of Bambolim bay. Though, do make sure you inform a life guard if going out for a swim in the bay.

The service scores highly and even though the property is huge, service is much prompt than expected, especially because the whole staff is extremely polite. The health club and spa plus the lavish swimming pool all add up to make Grand Hyatt a great experience especially with family.

Food is nice and decent, and whether you are craving for Indian food or a buffet at the Dining room, a drink at their bar or snacks and beer by the pool, they have it all covered.

Was lucky to get the club access and discount on various services and food at the time of check in. One thing not be missed is the sailing by AquaSail which is a paid activity but available at the resort.

Special mention to Anuj and Manohar at the Dining room, and the housekeeping staff of Guest House 7, you all made the experience all the more better.

We have just returned from a week long stay at Grand Hyatt Goa. We have stayed in many nice hotels around the world, and this is without a doubt one of the best.

Pool area/beach/grounds 10/10

Staff/service 10/10

Food & drink 10/10 (although fairly expensive as the prices on the menus exclude tax and service which equates to around 30% on top of the prices stated)

Room 10/10

Spa/gym 10/10

Location 10/10 - return taxi to Panjim is 1,000 rupees, and we also spent the day at Candolim beach (which I would highly recommend) which cost 2,000 rupees return.

There are lots of activities on offer, however I can’t comment as we didn’t take part in any of them.

The only negatives - and these are very minor - were that the pool area was loud at the weekend with lots of what seemed to be local children, and we were told off for consuming drinks around the pool that we had purchased from the shop across the road (nowhere could we see that it said this was not allowed, and if the drinks in the hotel weren’t 5 x the price we wouldn’t have done this!)

For lunch we ate at a family restaurant called Deel & Sons, which is less than a five minute walk left out of the hotel. The food there was the nicest we had in Goa, and the prices were extremely cheap, usually around 800 rupees for more food than we could eat, plus beers and soft drinks.

For dinner we would recommend a restaurant called Leda Seashells, which is 150 rupees in a taxi. It is possible to walk there down the beach during the day, probably a half an hour walk.

We also dined at Chulha in the hotel twice. The food was really good, although it was obviously more expensive than eating outside the hotel. The setting and service were great. I would recommend eating here if you don’t mind paying a bit more.

Overall an incredible stay and we wouldn’t hesitate to return.

We wanted to start our new year with peace and relaxation but instead ended up arguing with staff for all the reasons which make a hotel 5 star. The room was in front of a pathway where their buggies, staff and guests walked past peeping in our room. So there was a constant intrusion and no privacy/peace at all. The phone was not working so couldn’t inform the reception that the sliding door, fridge, lights were not in a working condition. Felt like a handyman assessing the room before the gusts check in.
Secondly if you order any meal, in a restaurant or in room the minimum waiting time was 45 mins which always ended up with 60min wait. Even for a drink along the poolside it took 35 mins. The explanation from the staff was “If you would have ordered beer it would have been here instantly but cocktails take time”.

NOT A KID FRIENDLY resort. The play area is a boring zone. It is good for infants/toddlers with help but not for older kids like 3+. They have a great timetable but nobody in the play area is putting efforts to play with them or keep they occupied. They have 300+taxes charges for a day.
The good thing is that they have a bouncy and trampoline on their grounds which is till 6.30 in the evening. Paid activities like wall climbing etc are also available in the premises. Khicdi given for the toddler was a paste of dal and rice.

If you want to customise something for your kids just make sure you ask the price as they charge a bomb for even a plain cheese sandwich as they don’t have it in their menu so we’re obligated to charge as per their menu.
Hope I left all my negativity and anger back in Goa for a better year.

Stayed here over the busy new year period special thanks for Vishnu and Simran for their exceptional service at the hotel's restaurants. Even though we stayed during peak time the hotel does very well in accommodating all guests without feeling cramped or crowded.

The all inclusive package is worthwhile, the hotel features it's main dining hall restaurant which has a contemporary feel and serves a wide array of foods to cater for everyone.

The Italian restaurant "Verandah" is open mainly for dinner and has a mouthwatering tiramisu!

The Indian restaurant Chula is beautifully appointed and features an extensive menu of Indian cuisine.

The gym and sauna/steam/indoor pool are all excellent.

The aquasail company operating from the hotel is great value for money and a must do activity!

Cons:
- very slow check-in and the reception staff are not as friendly or efficient as one would expect. Several reviews have previously noted staff being cold or unapproachable.

There are no more than 5 stars else would have rated more. The staff is very charming, they will always greet you with smile and energy. They are knowledgeable and guide very well. Special mentions to the buffet manager Mr. Vishnu, he guided us for visit to Tambdi surla. Also gave us packed sandwiches and chips for the Lunch, taking his initiative. This is very honourable, every buffet taken at his restaurant was different and greetful. The fresh eggless cookies were out of the world. We even got some to our home and have not eaten such cookies anywhere outside. Gaurish was very kind to click many fotos for us and gave full time without getting even a minor frustration. Rooms, Play area, Spa, Yoga room, Indoor and outdoor pools were very clean and enjoyable, have swim suit dryer as well. Jacuzzi is huge enough to make space for more number of guests. The food at Indian restaurant has amazing view and separate hall for large groups. Overall an excellent property well maintained to suit everyone's need. and you find people with an energetic smile, This is rare in Goa. We travelled during June 2019.

This is my second visit to the property and I'm sure there will be more to count in the future.
Even though only 50% of the rooms has been released on account of the pandemic, the care and concern for the guests has gone a notch higher. Since we were a large group with a diverse age band we had specific requirements regarding our rooms, which was quickly arranged as per our convenience. The General Manager personally came and met us to ensure that everything was taken care of. We love Guest House# 7 as the 'bay view rooms' have beautiful views of the lawns overlooking the bay. The grounds are lush and one can enjoy long walks within the property. During one of our dinners, we were pleasantly surprised to the treats from the Head Chef. There is 'Camp Hyatt' to keep the kids happily engaged in various fun activities (sanitization is taken seriously here, so now worries). We had a late evening flight and they agreed(without any fuss) for a late check-out which was helpful for the elderly folks in the group.
Overall, we had a great holiday experience and beautiful memories to look back. Thank you so much to each and everyone in the Team for doing a fabulous job in keeping your guests happy.

It was our first time to Goa and we stayed at the Grand Hyatt and i can't say enough about this hotel and their staff. We were in Goa for a family wedding (we traveled there from Vancouver) and everything about this hotel and the grounds is AMAZING! we booked two large interconnecting rooms and everything from the staff in the lobby/check in to our checkout was top notch. And the property is so gorgeous - right on the beach, beautiful pool area, a spa to die for (especially the eucalyptus steam room). The food was also great - the kitchen staff/manager went out of their way to make food fresh for us ... we are definitely making this hotel our go to vacation spot every time we are in Goa. The stay was so exceptional that we want to make an annual family trip there now ... mostly because of how much we loved the Grand Hyatt!

I have stayed for 3 nights so far and on 2 of those nights there have been outdoor wedding parties in front of guest rooms (and the first night I arrived at midnight so there may have been a party that night too).

Fortunately the first wedding party I endured was at the other end of the resort so more like background music (for me but not the guests at that end)

Tonight however it is right in front of my guest room. I can not sit out on my terrace without feeling in the middle of someone’s wedding. Inside with the curtains closed, it is like it is at the end of my bed. Even with headphones in, I can’t hear what I am trying to listen to. Soppy love ballads have now been replaced by Indian dance music. The woman on the microphone repeatedly screeches ‘lets make some noise’ which usually gets a chorus of whooping noises.

I have complained several times asking when will it finish.....the answer is always in 5 mins (that was over an hour ago).

There are multiple ballrooms that weddings can take place in at the Hyatt. In these the noise is contained.

The Hyatt need to decide if it is an outdoor wedding party venue or a holiday resort - you can’t be both without significantly annoying customers.

I stayed in a King view room. More expensive to see the water but also a front row seat to someone else’s wedding.

Other than that resort is nice - architecture and gardens are great. Breakfast is adequate. Resort is much larger than I prefer, offset to some degree by splitting guests into 7 smaller buildings.

You can always liaise directly with the hotel about the kind of room needed and location. We booked two rooms, one directly with the hotel through the Hyatt website and another through a third party site as the Hyatt site had sold out two weeks later for our dates. We then got in touch with the hotel, explained everything and gave booking info and we had both rooms next to each other.

Grand Hyatt is a stunning Hotel. It's about 20 mins from Panjim and Miramar. Good choice of restaurants there. Candolim is about 45 mins away, you will need to book a Taxi to get there. Hope this helps.

At low tide, you can go to the beach at the hotel. It is small but possible. Lots of shells on the beach so not sure how great it would be for full swimming in the water. We just walked along the edge of the water at the hotel.
