We spent 4 nights at this hotel. The drive from Hatton Station to GM was an experience as we went higher and passed the tea workers in the field along a narrow winding track. Queen Elizabeth II stayed here......it is 200 years old and still in good condition with its colonial style. Queen's Suite was spacious. They offer Breakfast/Lunch/Afternoon Tea/Dinner...

*I have updated this review from 4 to 5 stars as although not perfect, after manager's response I had second thoughts and felt that it was actually deserved!* This was not our holiday company's original recommendation but after finding it myself online, it looked beautiful so really wanted to stay here. First of all the surroundings and views are stunning...

Your change of heart/review is much appreciated. We have taken aboard your suggestions. Whilst it has never been necessary to have more than 150Lt of very hot water, since you expressed the desire to have more we have installed another 150Lt Geezer couple with the other to give ample very supply of very hot water. We stayed at Governors Mansion from 20th to 23rd December 2016 and had the most wonderful time there. It is an interesting drive through the countryside and hills to reach the hotel but it is worth it. They were kind enough to arrange a transfer for us from the airport using a recommended taxi company and the cost was very...

We stayed two nights at Governors' mansion just after Christmas and really enjoyed our stay. The views from the property are really fantastic and there are very nice walks to do in the tea plantations around. The building is nice, rooms are large and well appointed. What we really valued was the very nice and helpful staff, who were really...

This is a colonial mansion with a magnificent surrounding. And also this is one of the best hotels I have been so far in Sri Lanka. The staff was very generous and delightful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this place to check in.

ı loved the mansion and its garden. we were a group of 15 so we tried to reach up by bus.I advise that you take a smaller car since the road are so narrow. also I stayed in the royal suite which was so confortable. Make sure you have a big room

Thank you for endorsing the beautiful gardens, quality of our services, your kind remarks about the Governor's Mansion and how spacious Royal suite is. We do have many other suites that are twice the size and a couple a bit smaller. They are all larger than any deluxe double you will find in any six star international hotel chains. This...

Where to start....so many great things to say about the place...truly breathtaking! If you want to feel like you have taken a step back from reality and entered the british colonial era this is the place for you! Nestled in the middle of Sri Lanka's vast jungle is, what I would say, a typical colonial style mansion (and I mean...

Great property, awesome crew, yummy food, spacious rooms, speck less cleanliness. Staff ever ready to cater your requirements. Lots of indoor activity options, cycles for a morning ride, a good tennis clay court. All good for a premium price.

Thank you for the genuine, gleaming review of the Governor's Mansion. We appreciate your honesty and openness. Little concerned about the title .....a fat pocket? My friends and I stayed at the mansion for a few days during the end of July 2016. We had a lovely time at the mansion and it was an extremely rejuvenating experience.
