In the middle of lush greenery and surrounded by mountains, The Gadegal Homestay at Shillaru is a hidden gem that promises an unforgettable escape from the city life.
The cottages are spacious, clean and uniquely designed with modern comforts and the views from the Window and balconies are mesmerising. Early Morning walk and sitting in the balcony with hot cup of tea looking at never ending mountains is our favourite passtime.
The host, Mr. Sunil is a gem of a person with his personalized attention to each and every thing that we require made our stay truly memorable. Himanshu and Hrithik, the caretaker’s were always there to help you, Himanshu take us to a beautiful trek that was Amazing.
The meals are heartly and wholesome, with dishes inspired by local ingredients and are too tasty. As the sun sets behind the hills, all gather around the bonfire to share stories, sing a Song or Dance to the Tune.

Please it's a humble request do not book this property at all. Third Class Management & service. We had a very bad experience at the stay. They have only 3 staff members. The one who will clean the rooms will only prepare the food, will bring your luggage as well. They do false commitments & all good reviews are paid ones. They even do not have a proper parking space nor do they have any rooms for your driver. We had booked this stay 3 months ago along with MAP plan. (With Dinner & Breakfast) still the owner Mr Sunil Bansal & his staff members do not know the planning to arrange food. At night 10:30 pm the owner answered us that the paneer is not in stock. Also even if you book the rooms here even after reading this review, then also please take care that they will allot your room to someone else & you to have wait for someone else to vacant your booked room & beg them for the room. Very worst service, please do not book this stay at all. Third class Management & please Mr Sunil Bansal ji kindly hire more staff members. My worst ever experience. The owner has false commitments and worst service. They only attend guests who drink a lot & smoke & usually those type of guests only book their stay. If you have your family with you then do not book this homestay. Yes we also do understand as a guest that I'm remote area there can be problem of electricity or some other necessity but here they have problem in even providing food & other basic services. Even if you have your homestay in remote area you could at least hire more people.

My family and I spent 1 night here with the two deluxe rooms at the lower level. The location is good and the views are great. the food is good as well. The hygiene levels are poor. we had to ask for the sheets to be changed as they were stained and had hair on them. We were told that they were clean but they changed them anyway. However the duvet cover was not changed as they didn't have spare ones and it smelt unclean.
the bathroom has a bad backwash smell and the footmats were soaking wet. Other guests complained of no hot water and no plug points working however they were fine in our room.

We accidentally found the homestay looking for a place to stay in Narkanda. The reviews were good and we thought it will be worth taking a chance. Boy, we got it right. The rooms were fantastic, the view is to die for. The service was top notch and food was really good. Overall a great experience.
