When we check-in no one say something about breakfast time and i saw a writing on the wall breakfast 06.30-11.00 am. Other day we came for breakfast at 10:30 but they said that breakfast finish at 10.00. No one help us for breakfast, we paid for it and we cant eat :(((((?
The hotel is located in the old city area which is not so good in environment. So, I chose this hotel for my business trip and expected good working space in the room. However, the working desk in very tight and narrow. The room is too dim and dark with the interior design in black and white which supposedly to look modern, but it is not. The bathroom, especially the toilet is dirty, where I needed to ask the housekeeping to clean up before settling down on the first day. After the first night, I needed to move because the air-cond was not working properly, too cold and not be able to adjust the fan speed, so my first night was terrible with the coldness. After moving to another room, still I observed the yellow stain still on the toilet which made me realize that it is the culture of cleanliness level of the hotel. However, I was happy with the new air-cond which it was working better to control the fan speed. The front desk is not very helpful and not responsive to any request. Thus, I would say that staying here is quite independent, you need to deal with any problem by yourself, asking for help is hopeless. If anyone would expect to enjoy the bathtub at the balcony, please reconsider because the privacy around the hotel is very low, even the room is facing the empty space, but next to the empty space is the public road and housing. So, for me the bathtub at the balcony is useless. The only good thing of the hotel that I can see is the free bananas and drinking water always at the lobby. BTW, the breakfast line is poor, and leaving no other option to eat something else because outside the hotel is nothing to eat in the morning.…
I loved the very modern cubistic design which was kept in black and white throughout the hotel. The room was very spacious as was the shared working and reception area. There were sockets everywhere to plug in your computer. In the room you had a kettle, a French press, a fridge, tv and aircon. A special feature was the bathtub that was located on the balcony! The bathroom offered a large walk-in shower. A complimentary breakfast bar with coffee, tea, cereals, toast, some Thai palm leaf rolls, eggs, salad, joghurt and juices/water was situated next to the reception. The hot/cold beverages could be consumed all day for free. The pool was small but sufficient. I found the staff, especially Choke, very service minded and helpful. The gym only offered 2 cardio machines (no weights). The room doors could only be closed with a loud “bang” from the outside which was annoying at night.w…
An amazing boutique hotel. Loved the decor, style and location. Easy to find parking. Bed linen was super comfy. I paid $22 US per night. A bit downside on the keycard as it was reused and beat up looking. Other than that this hotel is top notch for lower cost. Highly recommended
Stayed in the Blu Monkey for 1N whilst in Phuket City. The location is very good - central to the wider city. The price was competitive. The staff were friendly. I've marked it as 3*s rather than 4*s as my room felt quite dark. The black walls, flooring and furniture don't help the rather insufficient artificial light. So, good for somewhere to stop over whilst in the city but wouldn't stay for a longer period.
nice room ,good breakfast with a small pool and friendly staff ,almost near to everything in Phuket town .. people always want something more what they paid for..but with this hotel you can get much more..
Blu Monkey is the good hotel for budget and trendy traveller. Lots of design in the hotel with MONKEY's concept. The staffs are nice and helpful. Also serving breakfast in the morning and free bar for coffee, tea, and banana for 24 hours.
Excellent price, great service, comfortable and clean rooms in the heart of downtown Phuket. Breakfast included. No pool. Walking distance to tons of great local restaurants. Great way to experience Thailand away from usual tourist areas.
Staff very friendly and the cleaner SONG does a wonderful job clean your room everyday BUT NO bar fridge to keep things cold !!! And KARAOKE BAR VERY NOISEY 7 days a week till early hours of the morning and there is a lot of DOGS THAT JOIN IN HOWLING TO THE DRUKEN SINGING
Stayed at Blu Monkey for a few nights to explore Phuket. The hotel is very good value however there were a few negatives during our stay. The room was clean however there was an awful smell coming from the bathroom which didn’t seem to go away. Breakfast was tasty but everything was always cold, no matter what time you came down in the morning. The pool area was nice and clean however there was an awful smell coming from river behind the resort which definitely impacted our stay as we didn’t really want to sit by the pool as the smell was too strong. This hotel is fine for a couple of night stop over in the town but wouldn’t stay any longer than that.
