My Wife and I, booked for 2 nights, when we got there we couldnt see a reception like a normal motel or guest house, luckily there was a guest coming out the gate so we asked and he took us down the alley to the back in a workshop looking joint where the lady was eating, she casually took us...

This would have got a much better review if it wasn't for the unhelpful & uninterested staff. Anything we asked about was met with a grunt. We did check in late but were told nothing about the place ie where to get breakfast (toast & coffee, no milk) or where we might get anything to eat or a drink etc....

Named after the street where it’s located, it is right in the center of Phuket’s old town. We stayed in a simple but colourful double room, a little dark, but quite spacious and with a good fan ventilation, that made us forget about having A/C. In the morning there is alsothe breakfast included. Little simple, only a couple of toasts...

Stayed in a standard double room with fan for 550 baht/night which is a good rate in high season. The room felt cool so there was no need for aircon. It was not facing the street so there was not too much noise. The room and the bed were both huge and I had a pleasant stay.

By joining up with some people on the bus from the airport we booked a 4 bed room for 250baht each (negotiated). Room was comfortable and clean and the bathroom had hot water. Towels were provided. The only catch was the room only had one working electric socket.

The price for a double room with a fan was a bit below 600 baht. The room was spacious and clean. WiFi was quite good. The owner is one of the nicest people we've met in our trip. He also provided info on the area, the people, even showed us other rooms for next time. But what was really appreciated...

I am surprised to read some of the reviews here, I even think some of them got the place confused with some other guesthouse because you don't have to use your own padlock and the rooms are absolutely wonderful. After two months in Thailand investing an average of 400 Baht per day on accommodation (low season) Thalang Guesthouse was the...

We were a little sceptical about staying here after reading about the sneaky owner, but put our own lock on the door. Our room was large and nice, but it was pretty horrible as one could not open any windows and there were no fresh air in the room, so we had to sleep with the frontdoor open (!) all...

“If you can invest a bit more I would get the room with the little terrace and balcony, the one at the front, especially if you are there for a festival, you will be able to enjoy the parades from your own balcony. Bear in mind that it may be also the noisiest but earplugs are a must here especially if you are keen on using longtails.”
