Tigmi is run with charm and efficiency by Jean Paul, the manager, and his very friendly staff from the local village. The decor is stylish, the rooms comfortable, the architecture is Berber and the food is fresh and tasty. An ideal place to relax outside 30 minutes from the bustle and hassle of Marrakech. Two lovely pools, overlooking the countryside...

What a lovely place. Everything you could ask for, great service, amazing food, individual & interesting rooms, couldn't fault it. Particularly liked all the little courtyards, balconies & roof terraces. The rooftop yoga studio was a real gem, with an amazing view of the mountains. Close & far enough from Marrakech to enjoy.

This place has everything - its far enough from the airport to feel like you're on a long trek into the desert. the long, dusty track to the hotel gives an even greater feel of remoteness and then the final stretch through the Berber village to the hotel gates pitches you into the dream. The leafy courtyards and rooftops are...

A group of 20 of us went here in May for a 6 day yoga retreat and it was wonderful! Staff were very friendly and attentive. Food was delicious, and the rooms and grounds were stunning. Would defiantly reccomed! It's very secluded and would maybe go back just with my boyfriend for a romantic weekend. Not much to do if...

Tigmi is located a long taxi ride from anything, but is well worth the journey. Set just outside an authentic Berber village, the Tigmi compound is a maze of beautiful gardens, secret corners and two beautiful swimming pools. I was attending a week long yoga retreat while staying here and was lucky enough to spend the night in two separate...

We've just returned from a magical 9 night stay at Tigmi. I think the fact that our first day back in the real world has felt surreal, highlights just how different and relaxing a stay at Tigmi is. The setting is magical, with superb views all around with a background hum of both wild and village life, with loads of...

Hotel is situated quite a distance from marrakech but it is a beautiful and very quiet hotel with delicious french and moroccan food. Rooms are very spacious and include a lounge area but lighting isn't great for reading. Our favourite of the 4 riads we visited in Morocco.

After spending 5 days in Marrakech, we retreated to Tigmi for 3 nights. I hated leaving! Timgi is magical and peaceful, a true retreat. The architecture, special touches, landscape and rooms are gorgeous. Our room was spacious and lovely. The bed with starched white sheets was so comfortable! And the food, the food at Tigmi is wonderful. We are vegan...

We have stayed at Tigmi many times in the last five years, both to review the hotel in a journalistic capacity, and to run yoga and meditation retreats here. Previous reviews that state the venue is 'boring' are missing the point. The raison d'etre of this hotel is peace and quiet, with a lovely small spa, two swimming pools and...

Good points: lots of tortoises of varying sizes wandering around the garden and pool areas, two nice pools to laze around (if there are screaming kids in one pool you can move to the other!), great sunset views, very spacious suite (no 5), lots of quiet areas to escape other people. Bad points: food was atrocious (towards the end of...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Tigmi is a place of quietude to listen to silence, slow down and rediscover that precarious sense of wellbeing. The house sits on the brow of a Berber hamlet (Tagadert) in the Haouz plain, positioned between Marrakech and the High Atlas mountains. It is just 24 kms (15 miles) from the Medieval city, yet a world apart in the peace you will discover. A true retreat from the hectic lifestyles we have all become used to. Tigmi offers guests the opportunity to unwind and relax but is close enough to the Red City that guests can pop in and shop the Souk, see the Majorelle Gardens during the day and the Djemaa el Fna square at sunset. ... more   less
