Together with 6 friends I was a guest in the annex of the B&B Iris. Laterza was a stop on our Camino on the Hellenic Way. We were welcomed warmly by Liliana who manages the facility and who, as a passionate walker, has renovated an apartment with two large bedrooms with single beds and private bathrooms to host pilgrims and travellers. All of extreme functionality, convenience and comfort. The sweet and savory breakfast is excellent (homemade cakes, focaccia, fiordilatte mozzarella and other delicacies). Liliana is truly a super Ospitalera!! Excellent:-)

Passing through the Cammino Materano, via Ellenica, I stayed for one night in this very beautiful and well-kept B&B. Furnished with good taste, it offers guests rooms of various types, a beautiful lounge, terrace and kitchen. In the morning breakfast is rich and tasty, with typical Laterza bread, cold cuts, local cheese, jams and much more. Liliana's sympathy and kindness are commendable. I highly recommend it.

B&b in the center of the town, very convenient for any journey

We stayed at this property with friends. We used 3 rooms, two quadruple rooms and one triple room, the rooms were very large, the furnishings were new... the breakfast was good. The owner was very kind and courteous. Excellent quality/price. A piece of advice, provide single dose toiletries.

Lovely B&B in the small Puglian city of Laterza, run by a mother and daughter who are very friendly and anxious to please. Breakfasts were great - fresh meats and cheeses plus baked breads and cakes, cereal, yogurt, etc. Rooms (3) are clean and very large even by American standards. 24/7 access to their computer in the common area. One night we brought back skewered chicken and potatoes from a local rotisserie place plus bread and roasted peppers from a deli across the street, and had a phenomenal meal in the B&B living/dining area. Bottled waters in the fridge for day trips. They are trying to think of everything, and doing a very nice job. Difficulty keeping water inside the shower, but that is extremely common in Italy. Only potential problem for some would be the very large staircase up to the B&B, no lift on the premises. 15-minute drive to the beautiful city of Matera, about 45 to Bari's lovely waterfront promenade. Would definitely stay there again.

We felt very welcome. We were served a wonderful local breakfast, with fresh baked pasteries. Lilliana and her Mom added to our experience. We had 5 of us visiting relatives in Laterza. Definitely the best trip!
