Tripadvisor gives a Travellers’ Choice award to accommodations, attractions and restaurants that consistently earn great reviews from travellers and are ranked within the top 10% of properties on Tripadvisor.
We have different types of accommodation in our property. We have Deluxe AC/Non AC wooden cottages, beach huts for the customer that would like to stay just by the beach with sea view. Every hut has basic amenities with attached bathroom/toilet. For the customer who likes to stay in rooms, we have plenty of options like suite, executive, double, single with AC/NON AC.
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
Overall disappointed with the price charged vs the service and amenities provided. I payed almost 17.5k for 3 night's at sea facing cottage.
Pros: 1)Location and view
Cons: 1)No FRIDGE, ( in goa's temperature it is a must) 2) Washroom's door doesn't fit 3)You get a room temperature drinking water bottles everyday 4)No paste, brush and the there is no mention of shampoo and body wash bottle so it's just a trial and use method
5)Food we ordered from the restaurant was stale and uncooked so we complained the restaurant who replaced our orded. So never ordered a meal again from this restaurant.
Overall feedback: For the price they charged we were disappointed with the amenities and services, my genuine suggestion will be to stay at other places nearby as there are lot of other options nearby

I stayed at the Lotus Sutra Resort for 4 nights, as a solo traveler. The location is the clincher and a great choice because it is one of the few actual resorts (and not a hostel/shack) on the gorgeous Arambol beach. The resort had a lot of other couples and families staying, which made it quite safe and comfortable. It is a bit expensive considering it is a 3 star hotel. The room is small, however, the bed was comfortable and the tv and ac worked well, as did the hot water. Cleaning could have been better, and there are very basic toiletries only.
The cafe, while in the resort premises, is run separately. I found it to have limited options or rather, just the usual options, however I am unable to have seafood and maybe this was a constraint. However, all food I had was hot and okay, nothing brilliant but nothing bad either. Breakfast has very limited options, again okay in terms of freshness and taste. My main criterion was to be able to walk to the beach and to see the sea, and both of those were accomplished.
NOTE: Not related to the resort. It is impossible to get around Goa if you do not drive preferably a 2 wheeler (the roads are narrow) or potentially a 4 wheeler - or you are okay to spend a lot of taxis. Goa Miles is not allowed in Arambol and in many parts of Goa, due to the local taxi union. Do not depend on it, there are instances of taxis not being allowed or sometimes being sent back, the local taxi union will make it a bad experience. There are local taxis but they are quite expensive. There is no accessible public transport or a black/yellow rick/taxi option which we have in cities like Bombay, Madras and all. Take this into account while planning, especially if you are a solo traveler.
The beach is fantastic, however, it gradually gets desolate post 7 pm (after sunset), and is unsafe and pitch dark by 10 pm (once the shacks turn their lights off). I had to rely on someone's help to get back to the resort, on the one night I stepped out for dinner - and I was back by 10.30 pm. So, the whole all night partying and all is possible only if you have logistics figured out, or if you are in Panjim or somewhere city side. Again, doable but plan for all this, to be safe. Personally, while the beach is always the reason for me to go to Goa, I find it is overrated as a tourist location for Indians (might be really fascinating and excellent for foreigners).

We booked two rooms lotus sutra for 3 nights based on reviews. We didn't receive any confirmation from hotel on booking .On one day before to travel received confirmation for one room when tried to contact hotel they were not reachable. There were initial hickups There is a small road to reach hotel but parking was decent enough. Do not expect star rated services for your stay Pros: Wooden Cottages are decent enough with space There is space outside cottages for sitouts Beach is just 50 steps away from resort Peaceful beach access in North goa Easy access to shops n market Easy access to other beaches Prompt reception service Prompt restaurant service Staff are polite enough to assist you Live music in nights Cons: Rooms are not so clean Bathrooms are ok type not so hygiene.. They don't have time to clean or sanitize rooms once old guest vacates Staff doesn't understand english or hindi much.. Most of the times they are busy Morning breakfast is a tough deal.. You need to wait a lot for food Food needs to be improved a lot Bit overpriced menu even sea food is over priced n not tasty Ac was not working one room.. They asked us to change room n it was working fine in other room Do not expect facilities in washroom like dental kit and proper soaps etc Overall it's ok stay cos of walkable access to beach

Very bad resort. I stayed 2 days in white wood resort and 2 days in Lotus sutra resort. Both are 3 star resorts but I consider "white wood resort" was the great and worth of money. But "Lotus sutra resort" brought me a very uncomfortable stay even from the check in time itself.. ** I guess the Front office guy "Sudeep" who thinks owner of this resort.. .because he was not professional and very bad attitude guy who is sitting in front office. Not sure how he got selected in this role. He not even welcoming guests with warm notes/smile rather he is looking at the monitor and asking boliey in hindi..and not even approachable. Even I directly gave feedback to him to smile and welcome pleasantly your guests but inspite he looked the monitor in Hindi Boliye which was unprofessional. I asked him to recharge dish which was disconnected he said will do immediately but till next day morning nothing happened. I again reminded another lady receptionist and she resolved immediately. Morning breakfast was horrible. We found hairy and small cockroaches on the bread and kichadi. I immediately informed to the restaurant supervisor. I made a complaint to front offfice lady but she said it's outsourced to another vendor so they are not responsible for that. So annoying Maintenance of the cottage is very poor. When we checked in time around 10 guys were drinking alcohol in the pool itself and making noise and drunk. We got room infront of the pool which is very uncomfortable. It was 8pm even they did not close the pool after I informed sudeep went to leave the pool. Overall very bad experience and never recommend to families. Only good think is nearby beach in which you can have a walk on the seashore side.

I really wanted to like this place, especially since our guide book (Lonely Planet) recommended it. The service was poor from the beginning. At reception it took much longer than needed to check in as the staff kept fielding questions from other guests. When I asked for the invoice, they said they would provide it, then didn't. I had to tell them our room number three times in a single conversation and finally got the invoice. They made us pay everything up front and an argument between staff members ensued when the one offered us a cheaper room (it was clear the other wanted to sell us a more expensive one). We felt exploited, as if we were just dollar signs and not guests in their beautiful location. The cleaning service showed up at 4:30 in the afternoon. When I asked them to return in an hour when we would be gone, they said yes. Then they didn't show up. The towels were ratty. And while the bed and room are very comfortable (great shower), the overall experience was very disappointing. Too expensive for what you get. We moved to a much more affordable place in the same area with hosts who cared. This place proves you don't always get what you pay for.

Pros first - Parking available (Only pro), Cons - i) Location is close to beach but inspite of a sea view room you will find a garden in front of you with a garbage dump and slums/huts in front of you. ii) DON'T take a breakfast included package. Worst breakfast I had in last 10 days in Goa. And even when I complained about it and didn't want to have it then also no refund or compensation. Weirdest and funniest part - 1 egg per person in a so called breakfast buffet. iii) Pathetic room service. After calling the room service 5 times and waiting for approx 2 hrs I finally managed to get a glass for drinking water. iv) Staff is least bothered about the clientele. They know that you are already trapped and only answer they will give you is that we will talk and get back to you. But trust me they won't get back. Reception will ask to talk to restaurant and vice versa. You will end up wasting your time, money and most importantly peace.

We stayed at Lotus Sutra from Dec 6 to Dec 8, 2022. The resort takes 100% advance however, rooms are not checked prior to allocation to guests. The AC in our room was not working. Inspite of repeated complaints to the reception staff, they did not fix it for more than 24 hrs. I have asked for refund from Operations Head Anukool for unethically charging us for AC room when the AC in the room was not working for 24 hrs. He mentioned that he would speak to owners who are abroad in getting me the refund. After I checked out, he has neither responded to my email on the subject, neither has shown the courtesy to respond to my calls. The food is below average and the restaurant service is pathetically slow. To summarize the beach location advantage of the resort has been squandered/ wasted due to unresponsive reception / restaurant staff, below average food and overall poor quality of service. The above is also reflected in Operation Head - Anukool's overall response/ approach to customer service wherein customer appears to be taken for granted. I will NOT recommend Lotus Sutra to anyone. There is no concept of customer care.

First of all, it is far from north and south goa. Second, the beach is very dirty and black. Third, they will do anything in their power to get money from you. No pool post 7pm, buy beer from them at 3x the price and then youre allowed to drink outside the pool. More restrictions than my school back then. The rooms were very basic. Washroom is very dirty. Multiple stains on the sink and the cummod. The food is just on another level. We ordered french fries, we received potato chilli.

I stayed at Lotus Sutra in January 2022 and 2024. In comparison this time experienced a bit of decline in response. Linen was shabby on day one and the following day it was better but on day four inspite of request no cleaning was done and the tea/coffee/milk were not refilled. Washroom is not pleasant. In the name of toiletries a small piece of soap was supplied along with two bottles (ready to fall at anytime out of a wall hanging). It has average quality of body lotion and shampoo. Towels need to be cleaner and bleached to attain confidence to use.
Still the proximity to beach and market , nice ambiance and music, statues of Buddha and pleasing garden encourages one to stay here.

I had visited the property in peak season of January 1st week of 2022.
Considering the seasonal rates per night for a pool facing room the stay was not worth it.
It is poorly maintained and you could not even find a ceiling fan regulators in the room as they are broken and not replaced.
Complimentary water bottles were not placed in the room. We did called up the reception and the answer we got was 2 bottles per day were provided. We had to explain them that we had just checked in and it wasn't there. They did provide them in the end. This conversation was like a waste considering a 4 star resort. May be the room wasn't checked before arrival.
Tea coffee maker was available but without stirrers. The tea kettle smelled of some concentrated air freshener. The same smell you could find when you enter the bathroom. I guess it was cleaned with some shampoo and not a descaler.
Satellite TV had no recharge. Reception guy did it within 10 minutes. Again this small thing could be avoided if the room was checked.
In the bathroom Shampoo bottle was literally empty. Again you could clearly makeout that the room wasn't checked before arrival. Had to called up housekeeping guy for refill.
I feel the Monthly Pest controlling was not done in the room as I found a small cockrach family breeding inside the storage chamber of sofa cum bed.
Biggest flaw that was very very bad that this hotel was struggling for power backup at night. The DG failed multiple times at night keeping the property in complete blackout for almost 15 minutes everything the power supply failed.
Lastly the morning breakfast could have been better with more choices of items.
The only USP of this property is the beach.
