Detailed Reviews
First of all, we love camping at Elysian Fields and this is nothing but constructive criticism. We've stayed here 4 times over the past 3-4 years but we feel that it's lost its way a bit the past few years.
We first stayed a number of years ago in the Celeste caravan which was priced at £50 a night at the time and loved it. We tried to stay in it the following year but was soo popular that it was fully booked so we had an electric pitch instead on our second visit. The campsite always seemed busy and had a great atmosphere/vibe. Dan, the manager at the time, had a good presence and was always walking around and having a chat with everyone and checking all was well. Tony's tavern was open each morning for coffee and breakfast rolls etc.. we even sat outside and listened to a musician playing one night.
We came back for our third visit last year in early August and had a large electric pitch for £20 a night. Campsite was almost deserted (some may prefer this). Tonys Tavern was closed every morning so we had to get our coffee and breakfast from elsewhere. Staff were often nowhere to be seen and a phone number was simply taped to the reception door.
We decided to give it another go this year and stayed again in July 23. When asking about availability we were shocked to recieve a price list of £55 a night for a large electric pitch... The same pitch we had less than a year earlier for £20 a night. Appreciate costs are increasing for everyone but that is a 175% price increase in less than a year! Once again, we tried to visit Tonys Tavern each morning for coffee etc but it was closed.. we noticed a number of other campers/caravanners walking there as well only to be greeted with the closed sign. I appreciate the site was quiet on both occasions but there must surely be alternative solutions rather than not opening as its quiet. Another thing we noticed on this visit was that the showers were not cleaned until at least 10am each morning so for anyone waking early you are left with filthy grassy showers from the day before.
We love the location of the campsite.. It's quiet, it's really close to many great beaches and places of interest. Helston and Penzance are just down the road both of which offer a good range of supermarkets to keep the BBQ stocked.
Whether we will return again next year who knows but the above aside, having stayed in many awful campsites, Elysian Fields is still up there as one of our favourites.

Friendly welcome at this site, the standard pitches are huge! Showers are hot and always open, there are ten self contained shower/toilet/sink and then separate toilet block. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, even lending us an exention lead when we forgot ours. Good walk to Porthleven (we cheated and got the bus back !) Laundry, wash up facilities and fridge available. We went to Tony's Tavern for food and it was fab- reasonable and perfect when you don't want to cook. Good walking links to local villages and an excellent spot for exploring the west of Cornwall. Highly recommended

+1
This campsite is definitely paradise on earth. Lovely and peaceful area to stay in. The facilities are fab and will be even better when the new shower block opens. Washing machine, microwave, fridge and freezer are great for if you are camping here. I recommend staying in the far field and ensure you book a large pitch if required.
You can hire picnic tables, fire pits and wood etc for your stay. There is a small shop on site and Tony’s tavern for food and drinks, although we didn’t use these as we shopped local at the Sainsbury’s and Lidl. The local texaco garage stocks firewood too.
I recommend visiting the local beaches of Praa Sands and Porthleven. Further down the road is St. Michael’s Mount, Marazion beach and St. Ives and for further afield you can go to Lands End, Penzance and Lizard Point.
We will definitely stay here again!

(camping) Excellent well kept grounds with all staff members being extremely happy and helpful. There is a play area for kids, fresh water and waste water points, clean good toilet block, shower facilities, Laundry area and small shop. They have a good bar and provide food at a good price,
They have spent a lot of money making the place look nice and well kept. Apart from the obvious b&b, they have camping pitches ranging from tent to campervan with or without power and even rent their caravan or igloo pod.
I will definitely be returning to them as it was thoroughly enjoyable

Just back from a brilliant 10 night camping trip at Elysian Fields. The staff were so helpful and our pitch was very good in the far field, we enjoyed breakfast from Tony’s Tavern and an evening meal which was delicious. We only had two nights that were awful but this was down to ignorant selfish campers who were very loud and drunk, nothing to do with the camp itself. The play park was good for the kids, the camp is a great base and so close to beautiful locations like Port Leven, Poldhu Cove and Church Cove. We will definitely be back in the future - thank you to the staff for making our stay a good one!

What an amazing place
All the staff are so friendly and can't do enough
The on site bar is really nice with very competitive prices and the food is lovely, we had a Sunday roast and although I am a big eater I could barely eat half of it
I highly recommend this site, the shower blocks are clean and look new
I find it hard to find anything negative to say, I suppose the WiFi can be a bit hit and miss but works great over 90% of the time and that is not a negative as it's FREE
Pitches are a very good size although we did book a large super pitch which is massive
To sum up I would say a great site with great people and a lovely little bar on site, what's not to like
We will be back
And a great big thank you to all the staff for making our stay great

I recently completed the West Kernow Way cycle ride and spent one night at Elysian Fields along with two other friends. It had rained all day so we were pretty wet and muddy and yet Jackie and her team could not have been more welcoming. She even washed some of our kit (although I am not sure this is part of her normal service!). The accommodation is simply excellent as is the breakfast. I would not hesitate to stay here again if I am ever in this part of beautiful Cornwall.

What a great little site! Facilities are fantastic!! Never had such beautiful bathrooms, all individual, huge rain shower heads and endless hot water. Fridge and freezer, phone lockers, taps and bins in each field. An exceptionally well thought out site with plenty of space for everyone and great Location as a base from which to explore. The little shop and on-site restaurant were fabulous too!!

Lovely campsite in South Cornwall. Very warm welcome on arrival. Facilities are great, including the showers. The campsite is in very close proximity to all major attractions in south Cornwall. Would definitely come again in the future.

Good friendly site, more suited to tents than caravans. We were pretty much the only van in a sea of tents around us. 3 toilets and 3 showers each for male and female but more are being built. We enjoyed our stay and the little ones made lots of friends. No recycling and hot water was a bit hit and miss. Good site though and staff very friendly and helpful. Just a bit cramped for us.
