The villas are situated 5 minutes outside of Stavros & roughly the same from Frikes if driving. There are 4 beautifully built villas each with its own colour theme, our villa Enogni was blue. All the villas are situated in private gated grounds and can only be accessed through very large enclosed electric gates, one set for the top 2 villas and one for the bottom 2 villas. Finding the villas could not be simpler, Diana (the owner) arranged to meet us by the church in Stavros in her car and we followed her to the villas. Once there everything is explained to you in detail, which was great. You are also provided with a few basic grocery items to start you off with, but what was really nice it included a small homemade meze & bottle of wine and Ouzo perfect after our drive. The villa was amazing; the build quality was incredible, very well laid out, almost medieval inside, with a vaulted ceiling and gallery. A nice lounge with sofa and large dining table. Stairs lead off the lounge up to the main bedroom and bathroom; there is also another bedroom downstairs and a smaller washroom with shower just off the well-equipped kitchenette. Two sets of double doors open off the lounge onto a veranda set out with table and chairs, perfect for that morning breakfast, lunch, dinner or late night coffee. At the side of the villa is a beautiful large swimming pool, with rubberised steps to stop you slipping, brilliant. There’s plenty of space around the pool to relax, some nice sun loungers, table, chairs and also a big sun shade. Plus other outside areas to sit in and a large BBQ area. It’s very quiet here; the only noise comes from sheep, birds and maybe the odd car that's it. There are views of the surrounding hills and towards Frikes valley and the sea. The villas and grounds are absolutely spotless maintained daily by Elena who was also lovely. It’s certainly a place to relax, chill out around a lovely pool which gets lots of sun, and enjoy some nice food and drinks. All in all, you are just left to enjoy your stay which is exactly what we did We loved the villa and the area. J & M …
We really enjoyed our two week holiday at Pilikas Villas; perfect for a quiet relaxing holiday on the island of Ithaca. Situated in a quiet location with outstanding views, the villas themselves were very well presented and cared for. Vasilis and Diana our hosts, made us feel really welcome (thanks again for the fruit pie and other treats Diana) making our stay on Ithaca such an enjoyable one. We must return.
Spent six nights at Pilikas villas and thoroughly enjoyed our stay and although we had hired a car, we chose to spend time in and around the villa and the local villages. It was the start of our three location holiday and it enabled us to unwind from work and get into holiday mood. Diana was amazing, she welcomed us with her two little boys down in the village of Stavros, just so that we could be taken to the villas, which are up in a secluded spot overlooking Frikas Bay in the distance. During our stay we found the facilities of the villa to be very good, especially having a pool to have an early morning dip or an afternoon cool off from the sun. There are local shops for provisions, but Diana sets you up with tea and coffee. During our short stay Diana brought me beautifully fragrant roses from her garden and on the day we left, with a bottle of bubbly, which was totally unexpected, but a lovely gesture. Thank you Diana, Vassily and the twins! We would have liked to have stayed longer.…
We went on vacation from 4 to 14 July 2017. It would have been really nice to stay even more there. The villas are beautiful, build in a rustic style, with a lot of space in them and really clean, as well as the pool. The kids really enjoyed it. The envoirment was peaceful and the owners were really friendly. It was no problem to comunicate with them as they knew to speak english prety well. We had all the facilities we wanted, prety good internet, the cooking equipement was nice. The view as well, it was amazing. The price was a mid range one. I hope I will come the next year as well, and I will try to convince my friends to come with me as well. Fully recommended! Thanks to Mr Vasilis and Mrs Diana Aravanis for all the help they provided when we had some little issues.
Vacation from 20 to 27 of August 2017. We wish we had more time to stay there. The villas are really nice. The pool was clean and our children enjoyed the most. Friendly landlords, always with a smile and willing to accommodate. Peaceful environment, we could hear owls during the night. Kitchen fully equipped. We used to cook every day. Sheets were changed on the 3rd day. The view was astonishing. Rooms are comfort and neat. Wifi provided. Fair price. Many many thanks to Mr. Vasilis for his helpful hand on my broken car. We're definitely coming back. Fully recommended. See you next year. Nick C.P.
The island of Ithaki is beautiful. This resort is quite remote and requires a car. The villas have a large number of steps and you must carry all luggage yourself. The owners do not speak fluent english do not reside on the property. They are are not available for any services and we did not know how to reach them during our stay. The villas are clean but very spartan and offer a 2 star level of amenities despite a four star a night cost. The beds are small and of terrible quality. You must make your own bed and are offered only one sheet for the duration of your stay. The showers are not north american standard and consist of a shower handle for rinsing off only. The villa is equipped with a kitchen and utensils but there is no water or offerings as such. The owners will request a passport from one of the travellers and will hold on to it until your last day stored in a unknown location. We are seasoned travellers and travelled from the US to Ithaki for a family wedding. We were extremely disappointed with the quality of this resort and the poor service we received. The island has many other hotel options and would suggest looking elsewhere for your visit to the Island of Ithaki.…
Beautiful location and vista. Car is essential. Villa sleeps four people. In bathroom upstairs you can't close the screen as the tap is in the way. Not designed well. The downstairs bathroom is off the kitchen (yes, off the kitchen!!!) and the shower is tiny and virtually impossible to close screens. Only one large bath sheet per person. It also houses the cleaning equipment (mop, bucket etc). If you wish to have a fifth guest the lounge is opened up and has to remain open as a bed for the entire time and can't be used as a lounge anymore. You can't drive cars up to some of the villas (directions from the landlord). Talking about the landlords they seem to be behind you whenever you turn. They give you a set of instructions when you arrive including not leaving the air conditioner on. No chance of walking back into a cool bedroom upstairs. They advertise that there is a washing machine but you can't use it. You must have a full load and pay to have it done. Pool area is pleasant but don't move the chairs!!! No beach towels provided. …
We had a lovely 20 day holiday in July in beautifull Ithaka matched by an exceptional stone built Pilikas villa. The standard of the villa, inside and large outside area, is high and pristinely kept. Swimming pool and lounge area is same style. The location is in a valley 1-2 kms between local villages in a rustic private setting amongst olive and fir trees - sitting out in the balcony in the evening listening to the crickets and goat bells is tranquil. To get around a vehicle is highly recommended but you can even walk to the villages, nearest beach and hills. We stayed in Artemis villa and would return for sure. House wifi not so strong but easy answer is to buy a sim card or use local cafes. Summing up, if you want quality private accommodation in a serene setting with views over olive trees to the sea and islands with a pristinely clean pool...We highly recommend Pilikas.…
This place is a gem. Great swimming pool. Beautiful attention to detail on the building and the owner Vasijlis is really helpful. The villas is nestled in the hill above Stavros, a lovely village in the north of the island. If you're looking to get away and have some peace and quiet, this is the place for you. The beaches are clean, late July and only a handful of people around. There are a couple of small local supermarkets, fruit and veg all the stuff you need and the nearest beach is just down the hill. Best restaurant Yefuri. Great food. Or Frikes which is a fantastic small harbour totally unspoilt has several bars and food.
We stayed in one of these beautiful villas for four days in July 2015 before moving onto Cephalonia. The location is just stunning with views of the mountains and sea beyond. We hired a car which you will certainly need to visit the local village of Stavros which is lovely and to make the most of Ithicas breathtaking sceneryThe Villas are well maintained a spotlessly clean . We were met by the villas owner in the village who brought us to the villa and showed us round The view from the private sun terrace and pool area is beautiful for lazy afternoons after a mornings exploring the island. We would most certainly stay here again
