Our group of 35 stayed here for five nights in October and basically occupied the whole place. My colleague did the booking to suit our architecture students' budget. It was rather different from what I expected. I imagined the site to be amidst lush paddy fields but Roemah Djawa is actually located within a housing area. A few units nearby...

I have stayed in this hotel several times. The first one was in January 2008 and it left a very nice memory when I suggested my partner to stay there in June 2011. But apparently some things have changed. Its name, Roemah Djawa came from old Indonesian spelling. Roemah means House, Djawa means Javanese. So literally, the name suggests a...

This is my 2nd stay at Roemah Djawa which is a far far different experience from the 1st. The check in took quite some time eventhough we're the only guest checking in at the time. Our room was not even ready when we arrived. The toilet seat in our room had a lot of urine stains all over it. We...
