This place is paradise!!!! The pictures are true, the water is really that clear: welcome to the Maldives within a few hours drive of KL or Singapore. The jetty experience is pleasant. One small negative is that when we disembarked, we were kind of left without knowing what to do, where to go: 2 staff members were there, but they...

An amazing island with beautiful beaches, which always seem empty. Swimming, either in the beautiful clear sea or in the infinity pool is a real pleasure. The accommodation is superb and the food is excellent. The only down side are the mosquitos, which you have to protect yourself from, especially if you take the island walk. In the villas and...

A large group of us went to Batu Batu for a birthday celebration. The venue is simply beautiful with a lot of stuff to do so would recommend for a family holiday any time. In our case, meals were customized, areas were reserved for celebrations and some activities designed for our needs. Bala and his team were absolutely fantastic and...

Good place for an island getaway. Service is excellent and the beach is beautiful. Water is clear which is great for snorkeling. The only complain is that the waiting time for food is long. Overall good. Recommend to snorkel, kayak, jungle walk or just relax and enjoy the beach as its too crowded (suspect due to the price).

The Batu Batu Resort is a benchmark in Hospitality. The friendliness of the Staff and the Managers is setting high standards. Special Request are answered with high energy and the word "no " seems to be not in the vocabulary of all Staff members. The Foood is excellent and the variety is outstanding. Also special mention to Joe and Jessi...

We were blown away by the beauty of Batu Batu- azure waters, white sands and lush gardens. Our villa was huge (important with two young kids) with a king bed, freestanding bath and seperate annex for them to sleep. For us, it was the perfect family holiday. Hard to find places that really hit the spot for both the adults...

Dear 18koh, It is with our utmost regret all of us in Batu Batu Resort sincerely apologize for the sand fly bites that you and your family experienced during your stay in Batu Batu Resort. We do spray and treat our beaches for sand flies regularly (on a 3-week cycle) and we have found that this keeps them at bay....

BATU BATU is a rustic private island resort set amongst coconut groves, rocky outcrops and fine sand beaches on the tropical, uninhabited island of Pulau Tengah, Malaysia in the South China Sea. This simple resort is built from a variety of hard woods in the style of a Malay "kampung" or village. BATU BATU welcomes families with children. Whilst on Pulau Tengah, adults and children alike can enjoy the island's eight white sandy beaches, snorkel or dive amongst its colourful coral reefs and kayak or walk around its 3km perimeter. The open-sided pavilion restaurant and bar has 270-degree views across the sea and serves delicious European and Asian dishes. Guests can choose to relax with a cold drink at the Beach Bar, soak in the sea, play on the large white sand beaches or embark on an adventure through the island's dense forest. ... more   less
