The Trotus does not do luxury, but doesn't pretend to either. It's situation is imposing, right at the end of the Bulevard Republicii, about a 15 min walk from the train station. The lobby is a little intimidating, as it was almost totally dark when I arrived, I guess because there were not many guests (I never saw any during...

I have decided to write another review because I saw some improvements since my last accomodation 2 years ago. Free parking spot, free Wi-fi connection (password provided by receptionist), good location. The hotel has a new restaurant called Taverna Trotusului, which I strongly recommend. Tasty food and quite a big variety. Decent prices and nice stuff. Room has comfortable bed....

A disaster by a clear mile. I don't even know how these hotels even exist in Romania. Cockroaches everywhere, walls were cracked with holes in them, no AC, dirty carpet and bed sheets, rude so called manager, who is a young arrogant "daddy's boy" with a 15 year old BMW in a minus 3 star hotel that thinks he owns...

It should be a three star hotel, but in octomber the heat wasn't turn on so we k8nd of staied in 18-19 degrees celsius. The stuf was nice, depending on the shift. Otherwise it has a good location and maybe this is why they have custumers.

This hotel is the biggest building in the city and very central. The rooms are clean, the view over the city is great. The beds are very good, better then average in Ro. Breakfast is not a buffet, but you have to order from the menu and is well prepared. Friendly staff.

I've stayed quite a few times in this hotel. The quality of rooms have much improved after the renovation done a few years ago. Now everything's clean and functionable. In a standard twin room you've got everything you would expect and of quality similar to those in western Europe.

Old style hotel, rooms on the first floor have new furniture. Cleanliness needs some improvement. During night or early in the morning you have to be sure that you have a "torch"- no light in the lobby, or corridor- acces to elevator. Breakfast included, restaurant at the moment of my visit was anavailable so breakfast can be served in the...

Hello and welcome back to the 90s. Or late 80s, depending on what room you are in. Want to order room service? Go downstairs to the reception because the phone doesn't work. Want to charge your mobile or laptop? Try rewiring the missing wall socket. Don't mind the rooms? Then mind the staff, or rather beware.

Stayed there a couple of times. The rooms were clean, spacious and with lovely views. Internet and TV in the room worked fine. Only bad thing with this hotel really is the staff, they're awful and rude. And breakfast is dreadful, you're better off going to town.

“The hotel's tariffs board claims the 2-star rooms are on the 7th to 9th floors (the ones with the best views) and the 3-star ones on the floors below but in practice the staff seem to make it up as they go along, so be careful. Ask to inspect the room before accepting it and don't pay until you check-out.”
