I landed up here by sheer luck while looking for places near Tezu airport(Arunachal Pradesh)! It is around 1 hour drive from airport with a good road. The place is amazingly located on a river side so the sound of gushing water stays with us all the time which is a perfect setting for this wonderful abode in the middle of nature. It is 5 mins walk from the 'Mini Zoo' in Roing so very easy to locate too. The cottages are all done with individual styles so we can opt for any depending on the number of beds needed as it starts from 2 and goes up :) They have a small team of very helpful people who prepares delicious food and helps with all that we need so no worries there. The rooms are all done keeping the natural setting in mind so please do not 'expect' anything like a hotel.
The host is the star attraction of this heavenly place :) Mr Jibi Pulu is a nature conservator and a great scholar who has this place for many of his visitors from India and abroad who are like repeat comers! He has many many stories of the place, region and all that concerns nature so engage him and see the fun! Please do call him for booking as he has no website or any other means of engaging-+91 98628 56981.
Visit the place once for sure and you won't ever regret meeting such a wonderful person and see his small world :)

We spent a beautiful memorable day in January 14th, 2014 from Assam, long time passed but can't forget our stay there amidst the beautiful nature.. The owner is so kind and humble person. The staffs were also nice, their breakfast specially Roti and sabzi was yummy. Want to go there again . Such a peaceful place.

After an horrible experience with Help Tourism's Diban Valley Jungle Camp, we decided to try out Mishmi Hill Camp. The place was delightful with an awesome location. The charge was nominal and very appreciated. The staff were local, warm and friendly. The rooms were neat and simple. The food was simple and tasty. Many activities to do around such as go for village walks, wildlife hikes, nature walks and trekking routes. The best place to stay in Roing and much better than other places. A true local tourism experience.

We reached Roing after a loooong drive from Along , but had no booking . I called up the Lady Dy, Commissioner for a room at the Inspection Bungalow . She said "No Tourists Allowed . " --Look at her cheek !

Our Driver said , he knows another place . We went there , It was night .

Wow !

What a place .

You wont go wrong with this one : It is not 1-star . It is a lovely homestay kind of accommodation .

Had to stay back here for two nights , as the cross-over bridge was washed out .

Lovely.

Imaginatively created 5 huts on stilts in traditional style with thatched roof and wooden floors and walls . Traditional style furniture. Nice verandah to sit out on and gaze into the verdant space ahead. But the lights that are there are too dim for reading to be possible after dark at 6 pm . There is the sound of water gushing in the nearby river, which is accessible by foot , a lovely and constant river breeze , typical Arunachal Pradesh mountains and green all around . Staff of two young boys helpful all rounders . Good cooks too, except that not evveryone likes being served liver in the dark, as part of the chicken . If after the day's recharging through Nature, one copuld read in the hut , it would be really nice

JBs place was recommended to me in Assam and boy it does not disappoint. I stayed here twice in February 2015. This is my style of guesthouse, family owned and run, beautiful scenary, clean, good food, stunning traditional bamboo accommodation, beautiful balcony, gibbons howling in the morning and birds in the trees. There are several types of accommodation ranging from traditional bamboo huts to fixed tents with shared bathroom. I understand that camping is also an option. JB is one of the friendliest, nicest owners of a guesthouse I have had the privilege to meet. Happy to help in anyway, a great source of local info and can help with trips to Anini or other locale. Bird watching, sanctuary visiting etc etc. I cannot recommend this place high enough.

If you want to stay in Idu-Mishmi hut like style and blend with nature...this is the place. It has five rooms with attached toilets including two camps. The resort is located in a perfect picturesque location beside the Deopani stream with surrounding magnificent hills. The owner is a wonderful Idu-Mishmi guy and a great guide.

If you visit in Jan -Feb, just 52 kms from the camp is the Myodia pass (8200 ft) with snowfall mostly during Jan-Feb. Stay per night is reasonable at Rs.1000/- per night. The nearest commercial airport is Dibrugarh (Mohanbari) airport about 145 kms from Roing.

This January, when I planned a visit to Lower Dibang Valley,my friend suggested me Mishimi hut / Mishimi Hill camp by the bank of Deopani river.
I enjoyed the place thoroughly, surrounded by Deopani river and Mehao wild life sanctuary. This place is ideal for nature lovers and who wants to be away from the daily chores. This is a paradise for bird watchers too.
The place has total 3 huts with attached bath and 2 tents, without attached bath. They put tents too according to requirement.
Food was excellent, some dishes were cooked by the owner Jibi Pulu, who is an Idu Mishimi ,and an excellent cook. He cooked barbecued chicken for us along with boiled chicken and Idu styled chicken and pork in both the nights we satyed.I have never tasted such sweet & tasty rice beer he served, in the villages of different tribes I visited before.
Mishimi range in lower Dibang valley is bird watchers paradise. One can travel down to Myodia Pass,52 km from Roing, where there is snow fall in the month of january & February.
I will highly recommend this place to all tourist

Stayed at this place on 15th and 22nd night. We were on the way to Anini for our forest trekking and spent sometime here in this camp. Beautiful place surrounded with lot of greenery and water stream. Food is authentic and very tasty and rice beer is the bonus.
