Good - 1. The Restaurant staff is very good and courteous. Special mention to chef Bijeesh for the wonderful hospitality extended to us. 2. Spa is also good. 3. The location is nice and is surrounded by tea estates and has a wonderful vibe during the monsoons. Can be improved - 1. The property is very old now and needs a makeover. Wooden Flooring is broken at places and in general the furniture is worn out in the rooms. 2. The rooms feel stuffy and there are broken stuff(flooring, broken window stoppers etc) around. 3. Cleanliness needs to be improved since the property is old. We enjoyed the time though since we had family for company.
We stayed for one day, its a big resort but lacks in few basic amenities, Rooms are at a distance from restaurant / reception and they are using one Omni Van to for guests for to and fro travel. In present time we expect electric cart for comfortable ride. Cleanliness is not up to the mark. Room service is not up to the mark Approach road to resort is little scary Property is not suitable for aged people who cant walk properly on uneven surfaces.
We stayed for 2 nights. Had a comfortable and peaceful stay. Food was very good. Fortunately they had tasty North Indian meals as well. Enjoyed the full body message at a decent price. The pool water could have been cleaner.
v stay few days in this property full of coffee plants., jack fruit, black paper & many more plants complete green & noise less . then dont have small cart to bring travellers to resturant & back when v asked they told in carona all r out of order & new on not provided by owner . it is indeed very bad image on resort . all food quality r excellent & good management team .
We went wayanad for a weekend, and windflower was sold out as usual, so for day we stayed in other resort and on Sunday we checked in yo windflower vythiri, thanks to Mr vinod GM. Rooms were spacious and perfect view from the balconies. Wanted to mention their Chef Mr bijeesh, was the awesome food and going extra mile service. We took spa services which was also nice.
I had visited this place and had an awesome time the staff were welcoming and absolutely down to help guests at any cost, they took good care and ensured we are pampered to the core, good luck and keep rocking
It’s a beautiful property. The nature , rain everything was perfect. Must visit once. Little expensive but worth the experience. Staffs Dhanish and Gopu Kumar were too good with the hospitality. Would love to visit again.
Visited windflower on 25th of may. The room was clean, toilet was well maintained . The chembra peak view from the balcony and the evening tea watching the peak was awesome. Manager Mr.Dhaneesh gave us a round around the property and also took us to their view point which is like 500mtrs walk through the coffe plantation . The pool area was well maintained and private . The best part was the restaurant team, when we went there for dinner they arranged a fabulous candle light dinner, set up outside the main dine in area (we were not on a honeymoon package nor tell them that we were recently married) , they served us everything and was a dine with view one.. Thanks Mr. Gopakumar for surprising us with the treat and also for the special tikka 😋 All the staffs from reception(forgot their names), restaurant staffs ,Mr.kuttan who helped us a to z , manager Dhaneesh and Gopakumar behaved very friendly.. we felt like we knew them much before ..They gave us all the privacy and also gave us the best company. Thanks guys Recommended for sure.…
Let’s talk about the "Good" part - The location of this resort is definitely good but you will come across many resorts which are located inside a plantation or even a rainforest. So that way, nothing great. The booking process was smooth and I opted to book directly through their website. So what was the 'bad' part? Poor maintenance is visible from the time you check-in. Cobwebs are visible everywhere, even inside the rooms. Lot of places in the room have a big damp patch and despite doing some patch work, the damp smell is very evident. Rain cannot be an excuse, it’s just lack of maintenance. Beds are not at all comfortable. Toiletries are available only if you ask, not by default. The kids play area is a joke - 2 swings, 1 merry go round and a slide, obviously in poor shape. Very limited indoor game options. We were promised a plantation walk and some evening activities as part of our package, none of which happened as the activity manager was on leave. The swimming pool was decent and we could use it for an hour before it got crowded. Read on to know about the worst part! The restaurant and its manager need major lesson in hospitality. My family is not a big fan of buffet and we always prefer ala-carte. However, the manager said that even if we order ala-carte, it would cost us the same and when we asked for the menu he said that we can order whatever we want from the buffer itself as there is no separate menu. So finally, we were forced to opt for the buffet. Most of the items were cold and neither tasty nor nutritious. No tandoor items for lunch and for dinner, most of the items were repeated in a different form. 2 snacks available from 4:30 - 6 PM and mostly on first come first serve basis. Thankfully, we didn't opt for it. Very limited veg options and they charge 650+ tax for Lunch and 750+ tax for dinner. Completely avoid it. Take some ready to eat food instead. The thing that hurt us the most was the manager's attitude. He was rude, obnoxious and would only talk to us if we opted for a buffet. If you ask Ala-carte, he would give 100 reasons for not offering ala-carte and would royally ignore you. The restaurant staff didn’t follow basic etiquettes of wearing masks or sanitization and were clueless about our queries. This resort has the potential to be one of the best in the area but I don't see any passion in their staff. The charm of a resort is not decided by its location or facilities but the way you are treated by the staff. Sadly, not a pleasant experience for us.…
Have visited this place on May 15th One of the worst place to come on a vacation Their rooms are not cleaned on check in Bathrooms waterlogged No toiletries No intercoms to call and inform hotel You just have to call and they come after 1 hour Basic toiletries like toothbrush and everything missing Coming to food part for vegetarian people like me vless option Their breakfast time is 7.30 But the food is not ready by 8.30 Not recommended at any cost Think twice before booking this property
