Perfectly located within a small patch of undisturbed green canopy, this resort is a study in sustainability and conservation. With minimal impact on the forest around, the activities here are meant to take you through an experiencing the beauty of nature & its fragility. The bird walks, the night walk for herping and just walking around this quiet oasis is an experience in itself. You can see nature take its normal languid pace in the Malabar Giant squirrels searching for food, the birds that flitter in and about – all while seated on your balcony at the tree top level is a magic in itself. A wonderful experience nestled within the tropical rainforest in Lakkidi area of Vythri. This was our 4th visit to Wayanad but first visit to CGH Earth. We visited as a group of 4 families with children ( 7-10yrs). Very clear communication from the resort prior to arrival on the formalities of check in as well as parking. Resort has exclusive parking on the main road and from there they took us on their Mahindra jeep 4*4. The ride took around 20 mins odd. In case you want to drive yourself, better to have a 4*4 vehicle. Otherwise it’s a stiff drive. There is a small stream running through the property. Cottages: The cottages are spotlessly clean. In spite of being in dense forest, no insects, leeches or spiders in the room. Room size is large and we had a good view of the pool amidst trees. Very well stocked with all basic requirements including sufficient water, tea & coffee sachets etc. The toilettries were excellent organic and natural material. In fact we were looking to purchase them on the way back. Food: Simply outstanding in terms of variety, taste and willingness of the team to customise to your requirements. Every meal had completely different menu from each other. Fish and chicken dishes were awesome as well as vegetarian items. Dessert option was good too. From the dining area we got good views of giant squirrels, variety of birds and monkeys as well. Activities: Again 5 stars in this area. Very meticulously planned and timed thru out the day. There was cooking, trekking etc for the children. For adults there is trekking with excellent guidance from the resort guide. The children really enjoyed themselves walking in the stream etc. There is also a unique night trek. There is good equipment ( boots, high socks etc) which resort provides for the trek. Hospitality: Outstanding again. Always served with a smile and responded to every request. In spite of being over holiday weekend, RTPCR test for us was arranged in the resort and results shared on time before departure. Not even once we heard a NO to any of our requests. It’s also not often that the entire team lines up to wish guests a goodbye while leaving. The only thing to look out for is leeches, especially during heavy rains. It’s better to mentally prepare for them during the walks etc so that one does not panic. We just carried salt and sanitizer and that did the job for us. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone who is looking to experience raw nature blended with a reasonable level of luxury. Unique experience in a beautiful surrounding. Very friendly staff. We spent three days in the resort and undertook many excursions with very well informed guides. The food was of high quality. We would have liked to stay longer and we can highly recommend the place.

Every CGH property has nature attached to it. Wayanad Wild is the perfect getaway if you like nature. I enjoyed every nature activity they have to offer. A team of naturalists offers the best knowledge about the Western Ghat's vegetation, flora and fauna. The food is great, and I tasted the best of Wayanad cuisine. They have both buffet and a la carte menus. The rooms are spacious and so close to nature that you do not mind the missing TV. The property offers WiFi, so it also makes a great stay for work in nature. Seeing the fog set and eventually engulf the view from the rooms was magical. The buggy service is prompt and very easy to manage. The staff is very warm too.

Had an amazing stay at the truly "Wild Wayanad by CGH" property and nestled in the Western Ghats. The rooms were basic but the view from the rooms was stunning. The amenities in the room were well thought out and completely eco-friendly in nature. I was truly surprised to see the "Umikari" as an alternative to the common toothpaste. The property has activities that can easily keep you occupied for 2 days without you having to leave the property (the property is a good 20 min drive in their own 4x4 vehicle from the main road). Food was basically from the local cuisine and included a lot of options and was tasty. You may be offered a buffet or ala carte based on how full the resort is. You will definitely get to see Malabar Squirrels and monkeys play around in the trees next to restaurant Staffs were extremely courteous. Mr. David their GM a true nature lover ensured that he meets you on a daily basis and even did a Naturalist session with us. Anil the resort manager spends quality time with all guests at the restaurant and recommends various dishes available for the meals and ensures that the stay is comfortable. Staffs like Shibin, Jithin Jose, Jithin, Krishna Priya, Aleena, Aswanth (all Restaurant Staffs), Aparna, Akash and Mahesh (Front Desk) were extremely courteous and ensured all requests are taken care without any fuss. The Housekeeper even gave us a round of their water bottling plant, an eco friendly initiative by the CGH Group. Would recommend this place to Family and Couples who love to be in the lap of nature…

It was a good weekend that my wife and I spent at Wayanad Wild. The rooms were sparkling clean, and fairly well appointed. The food was great, with the lunch being exceptional! I did feel that the quality was better when we ate a la carte, then the buffet. But that said, I enjoyed the buffets too! We went on the Sahyadri walk in the afternoon, which was lead by Chaitali and Aamina, two knowledgeable naturalists who pointed out many of the exotic species of birds and other fauna on and around the premises. The level of service was always great, and the staff were cheerful and super helpful. From our balcony, we kept spotting Indian Giant Squirrels and a cornucopia of other critters, including some of the most beautiful birds I’ve seen, and some shady looking monkeys. This is a place I do want to come back to, hopefully for longer. All in all, we had a good holiday…

Oh wow, you know you are going somewhere special when you have to be in a 4x4 to get from the main road to the hotel. It is nestled beautifully in the forest above Wayanad and you feel as if you could be miles from the craziness of cities. Our room was clean and serviceable with some nice touches in the bathroom, moisturiser and bath gel, to help keep the plastic usage down. Our view was full of trees which at various times may have monkeys, butterflies or a gorgeous giant squirrel passing by. There is a daily programme of nature inspired events which are well worth going along to. The staff are incredibly well informed and passionate, the walks and talks were a huge high point for us. And then there was the food! Yes again we were completely overwhelmed with such fantastic food. The pineapple jam was just one item from so many that is main freshly on site. Eating in the restaurant was a treat and both evenings the manager and head naturalist came to speak to us. Such a thoughtful touch. CGH Earth proved to be THE best hotel chain I have ever stayed in and I will return to India just to stay at more of their hotels. Spent two nights here after Nagarahole. Wonderful property - modern, sleek, with a fantastic staff and restaurant. We had one of the rooms at the top of the hill with a balcony. They will run you up there in the golf buggy if the hill is too much for you. Great team of naturalists and you must do all the activities (free) ti take full advantage of this place. There was a Malabar Pit Viper a few feet away from us on the night walk and our naturalist was like Dora the Explorer, finding lots of things ti show us. We didn’t have kids with us but those there were having an amazing time with lots to do. Brilliant place and part of the really excellent CGH Earth brand

We spent our new year vacation at this beautiful forest resort, this resort is located inside the forest and is completely surrounded by green thick forests. Special shoutout to the naturalists at the resort who have exceptional expertise in what they do, every single person we encountered at the resort greeted us with a smile, they came up to us introduces themselves, and explained to us about the wildlife surrounding the place. "an evening with the naturalist" and "Malabar kitchen" activities are the resort gave us a completely different experience. There are multiple other activities available. we had missed the silent sahayadri, afternoon trek which we heard are very good as we were there with our infant. Buffet Breakfast can still be better as we felt it is not having wide range, Buffet Dinner has a good spread. …

Spent four days and three nights with them. Everything about this place is immaculate, right from the ambience, to it being nestled between this beautiful forest. The staff deserves a super special mention for being one of the warmest and most wonderful group of people we’ve come across in this industry. Attention is paid to every little detail. The food is amazing, you’ll get a glimpse of the local cuisine at the same time there are options otherwise too. Extra points for being sustainable :) Naturalists are exceptionally professional and wonderful at what they do.
