Many thanks to Zafar Salim (host & owner) and his team (including Shibu & Praveen - two of the most efficient, able and most amicable hosts) for the lovely stay! My friends and I stayed here for 2 nights this week (November 2022). In many ways, this was the most rejuvenating and enjoyable experience till date. ACCOMMODATION: The quality of the accommodation was truly excellent. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. We also loved the fact that each room is clearly customised and tastefully decorated giving it a rustic and truly vintage effect that reflect a unique style that is quintessentially Zafar. The quality of the bed/mattress is also very good, ensuring a comfortable, good night's sleep. Each room comes with its own bathroom and hot shower including basic toiletries, towels and bathmats. Excellent location of the cottages promise you spectacular views while you sip on your tea or coffee in the verandah. FOOD: The homecooked food has always been EXCELLENT and more so this time. The hosts are very receptive and ensure that your wishes are accepted in terms of food choice and preferences cooked with a very refined, delicate and balanced diet of Pure Vegetarian, seafood and poultry. HOSPITALITY: Zafar (owner- happen to be there) and his trusted and friendly lieutenants - Shibu & Praveen's hospitality made a huge difference: welcoming, warm, generous and very real. Their knowedge of their place, the habitat and surroundings relaxes you more and that's when you know that you are in good hands. LOCATION: tucked into the wilderness of Wayanad and perched on top of a hillock is Anapara, this place is a little haven devoid of the constant hooting and tooting of any traffic. Awesome views all around with plenty of greenery, chirping of birds and beautifully lit night sky. Outdoors and we were thrilled both because of the pleasant weather and the greenery stretching as far as the eye can see with a view of the hills nearby and the vast stretch of tea gardens, waterfalls and scenic beauty. Absolute delight for both the relaxed and the adventurer (with an abundance of activities close by) If we ever return to Waynad (we intend to), we will most definitely return to ANNAPARA HOME STAY!…
If you're someone who is longing for a digital detox Annapara should be your pick. This beautiful abode is a perfect example of sustainable tourism in every sense. They got the most beautiful natural swimming pool in a dreamy location. The water coming from the natural forest spring is collected in the pool and you get to swim in fresh water like you get to do it in a natural steam.. There are two types of rooms the heritage room and family suite (ideal for big families) and we stayed in the heritage room which is an old labour quarter built in early 1950's. 100% authentic Kerala cuisine is served here that too freshly cooked delicious meals. The caretakers Shibu chettan and Praveen chettan is always available at your service. They'll take you around for short-long walks where you get to see wildlife roaming freely. They know the place, geography and animal movement so well. The most interesting point is Annapara did not take an electricity connection yet. So if you're a tech freak be prepared for some days without power. They do provide generator facility from 6 pm 6 am with single charging point in the room. :D Annapara is pet friendly and we travelled with our 2 dogs and both of them had a gala time exploring the greenery around. Also, they provided cooked food for Bruce and Tintin (Please be responsible that your pets are well behaved and make sure they do not destroy or spoil the property). The cherry on top about our stay was various wildlife spotting including elephants just in front of the property. Overall Annapara is a perfect option for those who want a complete detox from the hush city life and likes to experience a close to local life. Our recommendations: Star gazing at night, Nature walks, Spend max time at Swimming pool and the Gazebo (best network coverage for phones ;)), local cuisine, wildlife spotting.…

I so looked forward to meet the elephant visitors.... Guess a longer stay would make that dream come true. Thank you for this wonderful meaningful experience i must say ... especially to Shibu and Pravin they were around all the time to cater to every need and yes they were great listeners ... The Gazebo in the evening makes one talk endlessly so yes i was in my usual banter and they patiently heard every word. The food was simple and hearty . A big thank you to Zafar, ur courtesy and hospitality will always be remembered. Take in the crowning glory of the hills with this homestay…
This is a perfect example of 'less is more' philosophy. The awesome location, hospitality, authentic fresh food trumps over multiple amenities, grand food menu and polished rooms. Things to enjoy here: 1. tranquillity and the views 2. large verandas of the family room 3. fresh and tasty food 4. evening short walk into the team estates 5. No TV is a plus 6.Praveen and Shibu's awesome hospitality and stories 7. natural pool 8.little things like hammocks, swings perfectly placed
Annapara Homestay was going to be our break - from the monotony of the everlasting work-from-home schedules we punished ourselves with, for the past few months. It was a fleeting decision to go along with this option, for our 3-day break from Bangalore. A 5 minute conversation with the owner, Mr. Zafar convinced me, it's a good place. Then I watched this video testimonial by a customer that completely had me rooting for the place ( Hint: nothing like a video testimonial to build your case!) It was a fairly long drive, from Bangalore one wintry sunny morning on Dec 11th - but once we reached the place, nestled away from the small towns of Wayanad, tucked into winding coffee plantations and right below the majestic peak of Chembra. We loved the place, right from the first sight. Rustic, utterly un-spoilt. The term One with Nature, definitely rings true for an experience here. Greeted effusively by Shibu and Praveen who manage the spartan place with absolute mastery over everything - anything you need, the both of them would go to any ends to get it done. We settled in soon enough - Our 2 dogs, Thilloh (3.5 years) and Imli ( 9 months, her first ever big outing!) were the happiest as the resort itself was empty of others. We were among the first few brave folks to venture in [ by the way - Kerala borders have dropped all checking etc and so folks driving from Bangalore - through Bandipur - Muthanga can do so, without any hassle ] Lunch was a delicious home-cooked affair of typical Malayali cuisine…
This is my second visit to Wayanad and these is totally different of my first visit. Pravinji from Annapara had shown original beauty of Wayanad. Thanks to pravinji and Sibu brother for taking our care like family. They provide us everything we tell them and the places they shown us near the property is amazing. Photography of pravinji is excellent and amazing. If you stay here no need to go on site scene as the property is too good and you will enjoy everything near the property what you look on site scene. I will like to visit again and again to this place. Special thanks to pravinji and sibu brother for arranging everything as we told him. Amenities, Room and food was amazing and top class. Thanks for your great service from booking to checkout.
Annapar is the most magical place to visit the birds and wildlife are wonderful. Praveen and Shibu who look after Annapara are so knowledgable, perfect hosts and guides nothing is too much trouble. The food that is provided by Praveen's wife is prepared to a very high standard , it is amazing the best I have had anywhere. I will never tire of going to Annapara definitely a destination to visit every year.
Annapara Homestay is perched high in the mountains, where all you will hear is bird song in the mornings. It is utterly rustic and serene. Our room was huge and private, with a wide veranda for sipping tea or reading. Steps away is a terrace where natural foods are served. Trek with a guide through the nearby tea plantations and observe the coffee and cardamom plants. The friendly staff at Annapara will bring you anything you need. The noise of the city will be far away.
The place was excellent with antique ambience in a natural environment. The menu was authentic Kerala food. The stay was very peaceful for the training. On the whole it was an very unforgettable and memorable experience for me.
Arrangements were well planned.cost is economical. Safer place to stay.Family get together can be arranged. Felt homely during my stay as every aspect of the workshop has been carefully designed by seema and Amrin.I wish that they should arrange more programmes in future to encourage teaching fraternities to promote value based education in their respective institutions. My prayers to the entire family 👪 who has a vision & mission of accomplishment.
