A very nice hotel with very good food. However to reach bakkhali beach you need to ride a motor van rickshaw for 2 kms. The lawns and the grounds of the hotel make a nice playground for children and it also has some indoor carrom boards

We have just returned from Frazer Gunj, Bakkhali yesterday. We had to wait for more than five hours to cross the Creek on vessel, such a crowd was there. We stayed in Hotel Deepak which was extremely nice for staying and eating. Only thing was they should have a look for better maintenance of the rooms. Food was very good in reasonable rate. Hospitality was excellent. As weekend destination, the place is highly recommended with only one suggestion. PLEASE AVOID (IF YOU CAN) THE PACKED TOURIST SEASON PARTICULARLY DEC-JAN WEEKENDS until the bridge is ready to use.

The hotel is a good place to stay for a weekend gateway. The staffs are good and very polite, specially a staff named as Buddha , he is very much gentle of a person, but the manager of the hotel is very much ill-mannered , doesn’t knows how to behave with women , and was very much rude
Kindly to keep the reputation of the hotel , change the manager , and keep Buddha as a manager , worst manager ever found in any hotel. It’s an earnest request. Please we would love to recommend our friends and family for this society, but we would request the owner to change this manager at first place.. Buddha da is best .. the staffs are scared of the manager , as we have observed for the last four days..

This was certainly a good place to chill as it was close to the beach . The rooms were quite good .The staff were nice and helpful . I selected the rooms facing the road . There was ample space to park the car too . The food was wholesome and quite the local menu .

I love this hotel. This is my 3rd. visit. The service and the foods are the best. But the rooms need a bit of attention regarding the cleanliness. The view from the hotel is also very nice. The most drawback of this hotel is the position. It is a quite a distance from the sea. But I like the place.

The hotel itself is not bad. Well planned but unfortunately not maintained so well due to lack of economy. Not so many tourist visit these parts and even then prefer to stay at Bakkhali or Henry Island. I felt the rooms could have been dusted and cleaned, the carpet vacuumed before occupancy, but then I have stayed at the other hotels here too and this is same everywhere in Bakkhali. The Washrooms are clean and spacious, which is something that I don’t compromise with. There’s also a cozy little Balcony to sit and enjoy the view with a cup of tea in the mornings.
The sea facing side offers a great view of the windmills and the dunes lining beach. The leeward side offers vistas of green paddy fields. The Frazergunge beach is not visible as it’s below the dunes. If you are given the opportunity to visit the roof however you will get a 360 view of the lay of the island from all four sides.
The Fishing village's boon (right on the Frazergunge beach) is a bane to this hotel as the breeze caries the foul smell of drying fish.
Had they maintained the pool, this would have been a great plus for the hotel.
The only this redeeming factor and in my opinion the deciding factor for staying here is the food. The Food here is swoon worthy. They seafood pallet offers a mixed bag of fries and curies of the usual variety of fish and shrimp, both marine and local. We tried out Promfret fry which was mouthwatering and the best in whole of Bakhali. The Topshe fry (Mango fish) was crispy and awesome too. The menu is equally diverse on the meat side. The star of the menu is of course the Chicken Roast and Meat Platter. But the dish I would recommend everybody not to miss is the Dal fry which was absolutely finger licking (wish I could replicate that at home). Golden fried prawn was truly golden and the Chicken fritters and Fish Fingers finger licking. All the dishes have good portions and value for money! The prices I observed was also a tad bit lesser than the hotels in Bakhali.

After going through a lot of reviews about this hotel, I finally decided to go for this hotel for our weekend trip. Me and five of my friends went to Bakkhali during the holi weekend 2015. The hotel was packed up but since we had already booked our rooms from the Kolkata office, accommodation was not a problem. We took 3 two bedded rooms, all non AC and the rooms were neat and clean and very spacious. The room was more than satisfying. But the thing which truly deserves mention is here food. The hotel provides really good, sumptuous and tasty bengali food. They have huge front and back courtyard for visitors to roam around the hotel premise.

Rooms - Average. Spacious but need cleaning(not that dirty) and daily maintenance.A small floor cleaning will do.No sea view rooms. But at this cost do not expect luxury.Good for 1 to 2 max days of stay.(3 out of 5)
Location - Average .Frezargunge beach 600 mts. Bakkhali beach 2 kms. Henry island almost at same distance.(3 out of 5)
Food - Above Average. Try fish varieties but order well in advance but will depend on availability.(4 out of 5).
Car Parking - Huge. No worries.(5 out of 5).
Driver accommodation available.
Motor vans or toto's are available from front of hotel for sight seeing.
This is my second visit to this hotel and will recommend for others only if you have no issues with above limitations.
Enough space for kids to play.
Service is good. No doubt on that.
