Overpriced rooms , unprofessional attitude ( asking to check out at 1030hrs when official check out time is 1100hrs), complimentary breakfast is almost an apology. With such high room pricing in a place like Bakkhali they have to pull up their socks in all aspects to justify the price. Food is also expensive. None of the AC Remotes ( provided only after several reminders) function as one finds similar condition irrespective of the temperature being set at 20 or 30. Overall unfriendliness doesn't leave a lasting impression of the property.

Hotel Icon Heritage. I stayed at the hotel for 3 days and 2 nights in Deluxe rooms on the first-floor sea facing, as per the website of the hotel they have special rates for this period of booking on reaching the hotel the manager said that the site had not been updated. The architecture of the hotel building is good, and the interior decoration of the room is also done beautifully but now it appears that there is a lack of maintenance. The washroom toiletries did not contain a shaving kit, hair dryer, combs, The commode was too high on sitting is very uncomfortable. The housekeeping and room service are just horrible. The children's play area is very small. In the swimming pool, there is no Kids' pool and no lifesaver on duty during the period the pool is open. There is no dress code or rules for use of the Pool, hotel guests jump in the pool with their barramundis vests T-Shirts, Salwar Kameez, Maxies, and nightgowns. Last but not least the Restaurant does not have a qualified Chef. I needed some customized food for my grandson who is just 4 and cannot take spicy food. Other items as per their menu card have the same flavor as chicken, lamb, and fish. Food is not at all good at the hotel. Overall the hotel is overpriced. Rs. 4500 or USD 55 for delux rooms with complementary Breakfast consisting only Poori Sabji, bread butter jam and boiled egg tea cornflakes.

Good property. Behaviour also good specially Mr. Sandip (Manager). Only downside is food delivery is slow. Otherwise it was a good stay there. Pool was there and was clean too. We were allowed to spend a little more time there.

Location is great. Spacious rooms including all modern amenities. Food is really superb. Well maintained swimming pool. Kindly avoid Mr. Avijit Mondal ( very rude behavior & he doesn't know how to deal with the guests ).
Strongly recommended.

we went there on 3/6/15 to 5/6/15. the hotel is almost 1 km away from bakhali bus stand. you will not get any shops unless and untill you walk for 1km. only the wine shop is opposite of this hotel. the hotel is far away from the main road. the approach road towards the hotel is a kaccha road and is in pathetic condition. the hotel claims that they are near to sea. but actually they are not. the rooms has no sea view except the top floor. and thats the reason they had priced that floor exceptionally high. the foods are very expensive in this hotel. only Bhetki fish they charge Rs.230 plus 10% service tax. where as you will get the same fish ( more fresh surely) with meal system at only Rs.100 to Rs120. in all the eateries in bakhali there is meal system where they give unlimited rice, dal and vegetable along with the fish/chicken/mutton/egg you order. the meal system is very cheap. even they give you a papad and chatni !!
the manager Sujit DEy is a lier and not a good person. when we booked he told that the tariff for ground floor room is Rs.2500 plus tax. he agreed to give us a 5% tax ( off season plus week days). this he committed to my friend. when i called he told me the same tariff but without discount. on bill settlement he told that he had given us discount so it is Rs.2500 plus tax. else it would have been Rs.3200. when i told him about what he told me he kept silent. he is a lier.
rooms are good. no complimentary. no wifi. even no dongel will work. so the foreign guest please do not book this hotel. no card swipping machine. no bar.
swimming pool is very dirty. you have to go to the swimming pool through the reception. the architecture is worst. in the children park there is a statue of a kissing lovers.
the staff are good. do not take the mineral water from the hotel. the water of the bakkhali is very healthy and improves your digestive system. you will feel more hungry.
suggestion is that : book the rooms in the ground floor as because sea goes far away so in any way you will not get to see the sea. if you have enough black money or too much money to spend, then book this hotel and eat here. else this hotel is not at all for the middle class and who travels more. bakkhali has not become so famous where you will spend almost 3000Rs per day only on hotel. food quality is good which is equally good in any eateries. so why you should give more price plus tax.
avoid this hotel due to over price, due to a lier and bad behaved person Sujit DEY and worst swimming pool and over priced food and BAD LOCATION !!!
JUST AVOID THIS HOTEL ONLY OF LOCATION AND PRICE !!!

We had gone to bakkhali for a family trip.On reaching the hotel there was no one available except for a house keeping staff who could not tell us anything.checking in took more than two hours.Food was very unhygenic and the staff used abusive language if they are told to get anything. The situation became untolarable when the manager tried to molest their own female staff after getting drunk. When we complained this to the hotel owner, he told us that it was a natural thing to do after taking too much liquer as he himself had done it number of times.Seeing all these vulgar things we decided to leave the hotel at once.

First of all, this hotel is still not fully functional. For instance there is a swimming pool which doesn't have water, a yet to be completed dining room, an unfinished spa, etc. However, saying all these, I would definitely recommend my friends to stay over here.
The rooms are airy and spacious. We stayed in room 304 and it offered a very good view of the beach. They are clean and have all the basic amenities including the micro-refrigerator. The staff are courteous.
The beach is just a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. There is a children's playground which is well maintained.
The most important part of our stay was the food! It was too good! We enjoyed whatever was served. I would highly recommend the mutton kasha, shorshey ililsh. They take a little time to serve the food because they prepare it once it is ordered. So, it would be better to order food an hour before you actually want to have it.

We had been there for a day. The view from the rooms was nice and beach was nearby. The rooms are just about OK and charges are exorbitant as compared to the facilities offered. We had taken the best rooms (if you call the most expensive ones, the best). We had to take 4 rooms as they were not allowing extra rooms in any room.

The service was horrible. We had to find people to take up the luggage to the rooms, in one rooms the TV was not functioning, in another the AC didn't work all night, there is no quality power backup, ACs will keep switching off / on all night. They will not hand you over the AC remotes saying people damage their remotes. The food quality was good but the service quality is very poor, they will make you wait for a long time, all the dishes will not be prepared, nobody will be there to serve the food, if you have the food in restaurant even then they will charge additional service tax.

I would not recommend this hotel at all. The location is no doubt decent, but their facilities and staff are not.
