A charming, all family managed Bavarian hotel outside Munich with regular train connection into the city . The hotel is located close to the Isar river, which can be reached in few minutes . The hotel restaurant can be recommended too. It is specialised on local cuisine and ingredients from local farmers. Round the year the hotel features various events,...

Great location and service. The food and the beer are optimal Bavarian specialities. The staff is very nice and helpful. We had the big room for the family and it was perfect. The location is unbelievably convenient, less than 30 minutes by train to Munich. Trains are every 20 minutes. The train station is literary across the street. Parking is...

We didn't want a sterile hotel room and found this quaint, friendly, out of the way hotel. The staff is super friendly, the rooms are comfortable and unique. The menu is typical German food, hearty and delicious. We loved the Biergarten outside! The quiet train in in front of the hotel parking area, handy 1/2 hour, or less, ride into...

We stopped by for lunch while passing through town. Our waitress Danielle was the best. We had a delicious soup on the specials menu which featured a broth to die for. As a main we both chose a duck dish off the specials menu. It was perfectly prepared. The proportions were nice as well. I wasn't bursting at the waist...

Spent 3 nights here in this quaint Bavarian hotel while touring the region and visiting Munich. It is 14km south of the city and with the train station literally 3 mins walk away from the hotel and a hassle free 30 min train ride into the city (tickets can be purchased at the hotel reception) one couldn't ask for a...

Last minute booking via hotels.com but they were expecting me less than an hour later. Lovely traditional looking gasthof but actually a modern building. Great beer garden and traditionally decorated restaurant. Just made dinner which was very good. Excellent breakfast selection. Large car park. Very close to the rail station but I was not disturbed by the trains.

I did not stay at the hotel, just ate in the restaurant. I was hosted here by business colleagues. The service was prompt and polite. I had the rack of lamb, which was delicious served over steamed green beans, with mashed potatoes. The beer was good. Try the Haselnuss schnapps as a digestif. All in all a very satisfying experience.

We were just looking for a place to sleep for a couple of nights but this gasthof was a real gem! Just steps from the Buchenhain S-railway station (30 min to Munich), wonderful Isartal (Grünwald river valley) behind the hotel with marvellous walking/running/biking paths. Beautiful mansion, family operated, super friendly and also english speaking staff in reception, restaurant, cleaning etc....

I spent a couple of weeks here, it's definitely something different if you're used to standard international chains. It has a definite Bavarian character which you'll either love or hate. The rooms were quite average but clean and functional. It's a very quiet location so good for sleeping. The breakfast was pretty decent, with fresh breads and good tea and...

We escaped a noisy Munich hotel and took the train to this hotel on the end of the line. A bit rural but added to the charm. The rooms were very comfortable. We ate in the beer garden our first night and came back it was so good. The breakfast was exceptional. The owners spent time in the south of...
