Rajasthan is known for it’s hospitality and warmth. However, Shambala resort the atmosphere embodies warmth like no other. The owner, Ashaji, plays a huge role in creating such an environment. She cooks delicious Rajasthani meals served by her ever smiling staff. My friends and I visited during the pandemic and we were beyond happy with the protocols maintained. It was refreshing to be out in the wild and yet feel the warmth of home! B.M
As you sit watching through the bamboo screens of your cottage, the morning sounds and sights unravelling in front of you are delectable and mesmesrizing. Every hue on the sky top of the hills is a treat to the tired eyes, away from the din and smog of everyday lives. And you couldnt help but smile at the granny duckies gawking and quacking at each other:) Well, the other myriad bird sounds are a symphony for me, for bird lovers...it would be an audible sudoku treat. The day progresses with the warm smiles of Mansaramji and the cool breezes around which you feel like stacking up in the vaults of your heart..to be used on those pent up city evenings. As a solo traveller, and that too a novice, it warmed the cockles of my heart to be received so warmly by the Jasol family and I felt safe at once...at ease and at Home! Food is what you crave for as "maa ke haath ka khana"(food preparation was actually done by Asha maam and her Mother who so much reminded me of my Amma)... the local cuisine prepared with just the right touch for your palates...and a sensuory experience as the food should be...I think I ve outgrown my sweet tooth.:) Taking a stroll by the lake (Remember The Lake Isle Of Innisfree), watching out for baby crocs and gassing up with Uncle Scrooge and his nephews....or visiting the temples nearby or trekking around the campus so designed as not to impose but impress upon you the intricate thoughts and love of the people behind this project..The Interiors have been selected and adorned by someone with an eye for the charm of the ethnic glories of the region and definitely lot of love has been put in the curating of the place, whether its the clicked pictures of local tribals, the nest shaped lamps or even the yesteryear iron hooks adorning the walls! The ambience doesnt stare you in the face, it melts your heart like the imli candies and leaves you smiling. The mud alike and bamboo exteriors of cottage, the natural paths paved by army hat covered low lying lights, local vegetation surrounded by hills and facing the patient lake....make one Human! (Hoping here one comes without the baggage of laptops and urgent mails and not complain about 4Gs and 5Gs!!) The trip included Leopard safari and greeting the crocodiles(in collaboration with the local safari operators and to be paid separately). You get repeated shots of adrenaline just being steered upon those straight and roughshod hills...watching the majestic animal lazying around his/her territory(I got to see her highness Neelam!).In my spared time, I had the company of books, also an integral part of the Interior and from the personal collection of owner and the serene lake paddling along nature's rythm..Bliss! I would extend my heartiest gratitude to Asha Ma'am and her Family for letting me be a part of this Divine jolt in the daily churning log of time and space! I wish them the best of my wishes and hope to return as soon as possible. Regards, Shobha Pillai…

Shambhala is a great place. I really had a great experience - a very good place to visit with friends , family or couple. Best place to relax and enjoy nature. Distancing from mobile phones takes you closer to the nature and even you spend time with your companions- the concept i like the most. Then there comes the most heart-taking thing- the food.. Such good Rajasthani food, really very delicious. Thanks to Mrs Asha ji and all the team. Shikanji was so tasty❤️ very organic food, not oily, everything made in pure desi ghee. Holidays actually meant holiday there.. Spending time with self with family with nature. Looking forward to soon visit Shambala again.
A must visit place if you want to spend time with yourself and the nature.Mouth watering food with vey good hospitality. You never feel away from home. Serene nature views from the room.Perfect place to visit for a relaxing holiday.
A great place to check in, what an ambience, the hills on the one side and lake on the other give an amazing living experience. Nimbu Panni is a must have drink there and the food is so so good. Will definitely visit the place again, and recommend others to visit too. The staff was so cooperative feels like home there. Loved it. Sharing the view from my cottage.
Me and my husband are fond of offbeat travel and homestays. It was one of its kind and very comfortable trip that we had. We traveled with parents and kids but this place is for all sort of trips be it Friends, family or couple. Being homestay you dont have someone attending you all the time as they say, but the fact is that there is ManchaRam or ManaRam waiting at 50 mts from your room in case if you need anything. The food coocked by Ms. Asha and her family was an overwhelming experience. Best trip of 2021, looking forward to visit them again.
Had a one of a kind experience. The property is amazing and in the middle of the jungle. Away from the maddening crowd with only 4 cottages, it was an experience beyond words. The food was desi and well made, the kind I looked forward to. In addition, the staff was extremely co operative and helpful, and treated me utmost care and courtesy. It is a perfect place for a family get away and offers safari too. They have easy hiking tracks on to the mountain and the lake side. The camp fire area is fun and warm. Sighted crocodiles from my cottage itself. Leopard sighting went well too, and was an unexpected surprise. Also loved the part of the safari where they take you to a scenic sunrise or sunset spot for high tea. Would recommend to carry a torch for nights and enough warm clothes if visiting in winters. All in all, a great place to unwind in.…
The wonderful SHAMBHALA settled in the Aravalis is a beautiful family run resort. We could not have asked for a better stay. The cottages are thoughtfully designed and wonderfully furnished, equipped with all modern facilities overlooking the LAKE. The place has the best view possible, one could never get bored of the surroundings. We got a chance to take the Nature walk ,Mansaram ji took us around and he is amazing with sighting .We spotted some distinct bird species ,two leopards and crocodiles. All thanks to the amazing efforts by the team. The stay has been rejuvenating and we were delighted to be there, too sad to leave . The architecture is beautiful and the service spectacular. The amount of energy spent in creating the magical place is definitely felt once you arrive, they are doing an amazing job and keeping such high standards with regards to their service. Food is traditional and delicious , made as per the guest requirements, the veggies come from their inhouse vegetable garden which adds to the charm. Thank you SHAMBHALA for spoiling us !! We shall soon return.…
FANTASTIC home stay. very warm host.they have four cottages all are located 50 feet from one another so your privacy is maintained. we loved having sun downers on the hill from there one can have 360 degree view. we loved the food very much.took cooking lessons from the owner also. they arrange leopard safari for you .you have to tell them in advance. only thing is google map of this place is misleading it takes the shortest route which is kuccha so directly go to dhruwana village which is 8 kms from highway and after reaching dhruwana ask villagers where is the HOTEL..they will happy guiding you...thank you team shambhala..i am visiting again for sure
