We stayed in their celestial room, which had beautiful view of the Athirapalli waterfalls. The continuous roaring of the waterfalls with the complimentary foot massage was so so relaxing. The room had jacuzzi which we enjoyed. They offer u kerala cuisine for all meals-very tasty and what adds to it is the view of waterfalls. Staff is humble, helpful and soft spoken. The waterfalls entry ticket counter is just 2 mins away from the resort. They also have their herbal tea for sale- u can buy and njoy at ur own place. Overall, very nice experience… would definitely like to visit again and recommend others to stay..

My cousins and I stayed at this place for the New Year's for two nights. Two of my cousins were on a vacation from the US. We were so excited about the place as it has one the best view of the waterfall. As expected, the view was spectacular. The expectations changed once we got into our rooms. Foremost, the wifi was not working at all. The lights inside the room kept twitching. The air conditioner inside the room kept going off, we had to turn it on multiple times. There were not enough plugins to charge our devices (there was two under the work table which was far away from the bed). Secondly, the food was not upto the mark. The price charged for that was exuberant. The resort had a set menu and you don't have any options to choose which means you have to eat whatever they give whether you like or not. For the breakfast, we got served puttu and kadala curry on day 1 and on day 2, we got Idly. I personally don't like Kerala style Idly and Sambar. So I just had the over-toasted slices of bread which they gave alongside. For the lunch, the only option is to have Kerala meals (Sadhya). However, they managed to get us biryani for the next day. The dinner for the New Year's Eve was pathetic. The soup which they got had no salt. The prawn was stale and rubbery. The buffet spread had less than 5 dishes. There wasn't any event for the night, not even a bonfire setup, the only expected part was the dinner which could have been made much better. The funny part is the resort charged extra for the night as well. The dinner on the next day had a fish curry, a chicken curry and a paneer curry along with chapatis, no other option. Thirdly, during check out, they didn't give a proper list out of the balance which had to be paid. They just showed a handwritten chit. There was a difference of Rs. 8500, when asked for it they didn't have much clarity of the difference and the receptionist called another person for the clarification. Rs. 8500 was for the dinner on the New Year's night which was not informed beforehand. After the payment when asked for the receipt, the receptionist said it would be sent through an email. But we have not received it till date. When called the property asking for it, they said they would only provide it during the next billing cycle (clearly shows they are pocketing GST). The only good part about the place is the view and the service. On the whole, the resort was not worth for the money we paid. The final thoughts in our minds after the stay was, we could have stayed somewhere else with much better food and overall experience at a cheaper rate. Rs. 27,000 for a night for a room is not worth just for the view of the waterfall (such a SCAM!) .

We arrived after a long flying for 7 hrs and 2hrs of driving. As soon as we came to the reception our tiredness vanished with the view of the water fall. It’s so mesmerizing that we forgot to go to the room allotted. Yet the real magic was awaiting in the room. As soon as we enter our room our jaws were dropped at the majestic view of the fall. Really one can eat with sleep with dream with the fall. We had a very delicious traditional lunch at the resort. The fall is so addictive that everywhere we went we find the fall. Every food is locally sourced and tasty. Really we had a wonderful experience there.

Room Tip: For a closer experience with the fall it is better to avoid weekends and local holidays. As so...

Suggest going there during monsoons to get the full impact of the falls. Rooms are normal but all rooms comes with a spectacular view. Since this boutique hotel has only 9 rooms and one tree house, most of the times the tariffs are exorbitant. For travelers who like to have a glass of wine or a beer , please do carry with you as this is a No- alcohol resort. Food is typical Kerala cuisine and I personally would rate it very very tasty. Staff are extremely courteous and friendly. Altogether it was a very pleasant experience.
