Detailed Reviews
Expect your money's worth here... A no frills accommodation but clean and centrally located... And right next door to a good restaurant.
Choose Yelagiri only if you want a place to head out to and do nothing because all the adventure activities are closed down (2014)

I am Manoranjan, me and my friends (group of 8 guys) stayed in Kings Park resort in Yelagiri for 2 days. The service, cleanliness and ambience of the hotel was excellent.... We had camp fire, music and excellent food... This hotel is very near to bus stand and this has good amount of space and a park set up to relax, suitable for families and also group of youngsters...

Just came back from Yelagiri trip. We had a wonderful stay at Kings Park Resort!!! The staff is very cooperative and friendly. They were there for our help all the time. Its located at the entrance of Yelagiri Hills making it very convenient for tourists to find the place as well as to go to all attractions there. The place is very calm and apt for families and couples. The rooms have ample light and air circulation.
It's not expensive compared to other resorts of this kind. It's completely worth the money. Can't believe it's started just 6 months back!!!
Additionally, they are coming up (from Feb'14) with Ayurveda Patanjali Massage center.
I would suggest this place to anyone visiting Yelagiri Hills.

This is a small, sparsely furnished restaurant, also known as Orion, serving Marwadi and South Indian food. We were there for buffet lunch at 1.30 pm, and the food was not ready until well past 2 pm. The owner himself supervises the arrangements. The Marwadi spread consisted of roti, rice, ghatte ki sabzi, dal bhatti, capsicum and green peas gravy, lasun chutney, dahi vada and the South Indian dishes were sambhar, rasam and appallam. For sweets: rasgulla, kesari and ice cream. And all this for ₹ 300 per person. The spread was large but there was no dry vegetable. Dal and other gravies were being served by the waiters manning the buffet counter, and they put everything into the plate, so the gravies got mixed, and the rotis got soggy in them. Liquid dishes should be served in katoris (small bowls) as is the tradition. The buffet items were most of the time kept covered, probably because they shouldn’t get cold, as no burners were used below them to keep hot. Apparently there was masala rice, which I missed out, as I did rasam and sambhar too, because the lids for these dishes remained unopened by the waiters. And the serving ladles were way too small, as if there was some hesitation in serving generously (in a way it’s good, as this avoids wastage). Rotis were being made very slowly, one at a time, and a long wait after each one. The preparations were fresh and tasty. But the restaurant could have been better in terms of hygiene. I noticed that water glasses were brought wet to the table and a couple of them were not even washed properly. Some buffet plates were chipped in the corners. The restaurant itself is not well- maintained. If you are a stickler for hygiene and ambiance, then this is not the place. Parking is adequate inside the hotel compound.

A good corutyars, spacious well maintained room and bathroom! Has ample space for kids to run about and enjoy garden fruits and vegetables growing! However it is almost a cheater type of place! They mention restaurant but has none! Extremely poor service also due to lack of language understanding! Mr suppandi got our spoons and wiping it on his bums in front of us! D8nner didn't exist!we were made to catch auto to go 2kms away for food! Breakfast not provided as they don't have kitchen! It was frustrating to go in their kitchens and force sweeper to make us tea to wake up and leave for sightseeing!
Plus they seemed to be very cocky about it!at 2500/-for non ac room without breakfast was expensive and they don't mention on this site!
Cheaters I say!
Plus it is on outskirts of Yelagir! Please go to landmark etc which are almost same with great service and food!

Easy to access - you complete your up the hill journey and you are at the entrance already.
Good staff support - Room arrangements, order delivery, calm/friendly behaviour.
Hassle Free Check in / check out process.
Good maintenance of the rooms.
Went through some of the reviews on food quality - not sure about the hotel from where we received the food this time, but it was very good. Probably the vendor has been changed now.
Overall very good experience.

Yelagiri is a small hill station just 3 hrs drive from Chennai. This resort looks like a palace on net which made me to choose it for our stay also it includes camp fire, recreation rooms / games and on top of everything its paradise for the “Cleanliness freaks” like my family. On considering these points it’s very much affordable for any salary group. Staff member were friendly / Food was good / some nice sightseeing around.
In short, this place will definitely make you to get rid of your stress for sure – Give it a shot!

It was a perfect relaxing stay at Kings Park,
Reaching the resort was very easy as it very close to the main road.
The rooms were stylish and modern with a great view of the garden and the surrounding hills. They had some lovely pet animals such as ducks, rabbits, fishes, parrots and love birds which the kids loved and had a great time playing with them....
They have a tomb shaped structure on top the main building and the view from there is awesome....
We also got an Ayurvedic massage from the place and it made us feel so much refreshing...
The staff were helpful to guide us to the nearby attractions.
The Lake and Nature Park is just ten mins walk from the resort. An evening walk to the lake is so peaceful and refreshing.
All together it was a nice place with reasonable pricing. Will definitely visit again....
