It was a great experience staying at Oceanic Diveagar..Very close to beach so access was very easy. Ample amount of water for cleaning washing and bathing...the caretaker Mrs Bayde also gave us an memorable hospitality a very homely and caring human..she even provided specially cooked food for my baby child..Rooms,toilets and blankets in Oceanic are very clean and specially car parking was available...Thanks Oceanic for making my holiday so memorable..looking to see it again soon...
From Mumbai ,self driven to Diveager which is 180 KM and took 5 hours, Two rooms booked in Oceanic and the stay was very pleasant. This guest house have 6 rooms which are spacious, very clean and 6 minutes away from the beach. You have the Choice of AC or Non AC rooms .The property is surrounded by coconut trees and very peaceful in the day and night. Home made food available with the care taker which is tasty, clean. Fish items enjoyed very well.
It really terrible experience with Oceanic. First important problem is - Water not available on TAB. you need to carry buckets from outside TAP to Bathroom. The Caretaker Mrs. Bayade is Terrible lady . She don't know how to talk with Customer. She abuses customer with very bad language. Don't ever take her food its to much costly and not at all worth it. She charges 250 for non veg and give very small fish size and no taste. Also gives Tea @Rs. 25/- where u can get it for Rs. 10/ any where No taste at all. She only demand money and shouts like anything and do dadagiri and thread to call police or seize your belongings. And she calls for local people to threat customer. Even owner of hotel Mr. Kelkar is not at all concern for your problem. He rejects your call. You can really find very good people and accommodation at diff place at very lower rate. Ours was very bad experience in Oceanic. It spoil you holiday mood. .…
Unclean room full of bugs and insects. Seepage on the ceiling The food is average but priced at 3 star prices. Overall a disappointing experience best avoided. Not a very pleasant experience dealing with the caretaker and the owner
We visited Diveagar at the end of September 2017. We had booked Oceanic for one day and night in advance. Its a small hotel (6 rooms) more of a home stay type. rooms are just ok with basic amenities.beach is at walking distance. care taker who stays in front of hotel provided us tea and breakfast. As its a small village, one has to order the food in advance like 3-4 hrs or a day. Rooms are surrounded with lush greenery and are very cozy.Good for one night stay.Nothing more to say about the stay.
Pros ==== Nice Village Location if you want to stay away from City It is not a hotel actually it is a Homestay type. Sea beach is near by where you can enjoy a lot. Beach is not crowded so you will feel it is your private beach :) Caretaker aunty is good and supportive. Food is a little bit costly but tasty. It is Maharashtrian food actually. 3 vehicles can be parked in front of the homestay We(me,my spouse and two kids) were in a serious problem while we visited because my vehicle was broke down at divegar. But the owner Mr.Amit was very supportive and he allowed me to stay beyond the check out time without any extra charges. Thanks for that Mr.Amit. CONS ====== No drinking water at the Homestay. You need to depend on the caretaker. If you afraid of forest and darkness this is not definitely a place for you as this homestay is surrounded by coconut and beetle nut trees. You need to take all things with you before travelling as no shops are there near to this. However if you enjoy village life you can try it for 1 or 2 days maximum…
We state at Oceanic just last week. The location of the place is just perfect, with lovely greenery around, but your problems start when u begin ur stay. The bed we slept in was rock hard, there is no water heater in the room, so if you want water you have to tell the caretaker well in advance and then she will put wood in the furnace And you get water after about an hour of your request.the burning of wood causes the whole area to get filled with smoke,it's very irritating. There was a safety grill at the entrance so that was a good thing as we travelled with a two yr old.parking is just outside ur door so that's good. No point in asking the caretaker where to eat as she will not suggest places but insist that you take food from her. Which you have to tell 4 hours in advance for lunch or dinner. There are much better options around. The place is clean, the bed mattress is horribly hard....diveagar as a place to visit is just divine. It's lovely a beautiful, the beach is wonderful And clean, not like the last time we visited.…
The booking & stay experience was very good. The care taker family stays just across the street. They provide nice food. We had tasty Ukdiche Modak besides other home cooked food. The rooms are good with basic amenities. The access road is slightly narrow & could be difficult for new driver if another vehicle comes from opposite direction. Oceanic has parking space for 3 cars & couple of more could be accommodated by road side. The road goes to one side of the beach & can be accessed by walk, car may not reach there as approach road is very narrow. This stay is somewhat far off from main beach area and may need to take vehicle to reach there. Diveagar beach is good but I liked Shrivardhan beach more. It was cleaner & more fun.
Yes, If you are in search of peaceful stay with home cooked authentic Maharashtrian food do visit oceanic. Advantages : - 5 min walkable distance from diveagar beach - enjoy authentic Maharashtrian food veg and non veg - fish can be arranged on your request - lady who provides food here makes it with superb taste , veg and non veg both - if you are with your infants she will prepare food for them too , and will provide boiled milk. ( Milk you have to arrange from nearby stores which is about ~ 3 min walk. Disadvantages - if you are searching for Mexican , Chinese , thai food. This is not for you. - liquor , you have to arrange at your own.
Hi, I've booked this hotel online from yatra.com even i got confirmation call, emails for yatra. On check-in date morning when i reached their place and contact to hotel they said that they had already communicated with yatra.com and rooms are not available also yatra.com did not shared any of my contact details from which they contact me which was absolutely lied because when i called yatra.com they informed me that they shared my details with them. So i faced big embarrassment because i was with my family, finally instead of arguing and wasting a time and spoil my holiday i searched other hotel with extra amount and stayed. This is completely disgraceful.
