Stayed here on an unplanned visit to Diveagar. Very nice hotel with a pleasant Beach View from all the rooms. Beach is hardly 100 meters from the Hotel entrance and less crowded than other areas, so one can enjoy the calmness of beach anytime during the day at leisure. Rooms are decently furnished with a Bed, Wardrobe and TV Unit. Restaurant service for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner is provided in the premise. Improvement Areas - There is no in-room facility like writing table, Tea-Kettle. These facilities are helpful for guests who wish to have early morning Tea / Coffee before visiting the beach - Fixed breakfast Menu will help to avoid confusions & delays in orders - Support staff needs to be increased as the same 2 people are responsible for housekeeping of rooms, cooking & serving at restaurant. This impacts the service quality (more so because the Call bells in room also don't work and there is no intercom facility as well)…
Rooms are ok..but there are rats in rooms. No cleaning staff gor rooms , corridors are very dirty. For cleaning rooms they r charging extra from u. One one person present for everything cooking, cleaning, washing everything. Food is ok. They served curd in pickle bowl n charge 30 rs each bowl. Tea rate mentioned is 30 rs n they charged 60 rs for each cup. Crockery is of poor quality. I ll not recommended for family becoz kids ll fall ill dere becoz no hygiene. They were cleaning utensils in front of u on floor only. They r charged u as per hotel but its not worth as home stay.
Perfect location in Diveagar. Having only home made food service as like all kokan. property is beach touch. having well maintained room but they are basic. The place will give you kokan feel and silence which we search everywhere.
This place is really good , owner of this property is very helpful,co-operative , food is very good and hygiene , i would say this is the only place in diveagar where you step out of hotel compound and you are on the beach , though rooms are not AC you don't feel warm or hot , because all rooms are covered with tree shadows good family get-together , short weekend breaks , long weekday stay
Too good to stay, 10 steps away from beach, beach over here is calm and away from rush. I bet you will surely enjoy over here, I am sure next time I am going to stay over here only in Diveagar. Staff was too nice to help.
This place is very close to the beach. Owned by an awesome person, who provides you great hospitality and care. Quite, far from the Chowpati, this is nice place to chill, relax. Rooms are not very specious, they only have a bed and a TV. But extra bedding is provided on each room without any charges. Homely food provided in the dining area. I would recommend this place for a homely cottage stay. Would love to visit again!!!
I always research before booking a hotel. I booked Happy Days after a lot of research. I had read reviews on tripadvisor and Google as well. I booked hotel some 2 months prior at a decent price of Rs.1100 by giving Rs. 3000 as advance. We went in the end of May. We were three couples and there were only three rooms in the cottage so we booked all of them for two days. The owner picked us from Suvarna Ganesh Temple which is located in Diveagar. The property is bit difficult to locate but the location is perfect. You can see beautiful beach just by standing inside the property. property was kept neat and clean. It was amazing experience. The owner Mr. Prasad, a very friendly person made our warm welcome and showed the rooms. The rooms were average with a small bed and attached washrooms. Nothing else in room except a bed, fan and small table. The bed and bedsheets were very average and nothing impressive in the room. To TV, no A/C, no cupboard to keep bags. Very average. We got into room to get fresh. As soon as I entered room, I could observe that the cleanliness was not upto the mark. I could see that the dirt on the bed. There was a small CFL bulb which hardly gave us visible light. I entered the washroom and saw a big 6 inch spider hovering above the ceiling. I never saw such a big and scary spider in my life. We brought food from outside as we didnt want to eat homemade thali. We had lunch in this beautiful property covered with coconut trees. There were lots of cats and dogs roaming around out table while eating. To our surprise, the owner charged us Rs. 100 for using the plates and utensils for eating the outside food. This was too much. The table that we used for eating was cleaned only after telling the owner. We planned to rest for a while and go to the beach in evening. It was very hot outside so we switched on the fan. It was very slow and we could not sleep in the heat so we told the owner. He arranged a table fan for us which was looking 50 years old and didn't switch on at all. I told him, he checked and said that he will fix it in 5 mins which he didn't. We couldn't sleep properly due to fan problem and also there were many small insects coming from the top of the room which disturbed our sleep very often. We also had our baby with us who could sleep properly. In short we couldn't have satisfactory rest in afternoon which we needed badly after a long travelling. We then prepared to go to beach in evening and locked the room. The lock and the key was rust from all the possible angles. The owner fixed the fan problem in the evening but not upto my satisfaction. In the night too, we brought food parcel from outside and again Rs. 100 was charged to us. There were scary spiders outside the rooms too. We saw many of them. I wonder what could happen if it bit us or our baby. Apart from all the problems, the location made our trip memorable. We could go to the beach at any time we want. We went there in night and in early morning (sipping our coffee) as well to see the sunrise. The location was unbeatable. Except location, the cottage does not give value for money. The property has great potential for growth and becoming popular only if owner takes serious steps to take care above problems.…
Beach is just 20 steps in front of this place. Very nice beach view! Owner will arrange for camp fire, right on the beach side with hot cup of tea (only if you ask for!). Enough open space to dry your wet cloths. Super hot water is available on tap all time! Home food (konkan style, veg and fish/prawn thali) is OK; there is not any good eateries outside either! Not much crowd in the front-side beach, but a plenty of water activities (plus snacks/chaat items) are available if you can just walk 0.5km on the beach itself! Reasonable rent for a double-bed room (with an extra double-bed), just basic room with double-fan, that's all! Hospitality/service is very good!
The hosts were warm and friendly. However, the room had nothing except a bed, which was not large enough for two people. So one had to sleep on a floor mattress. Nowhere to keep clothes, except in your bags on the floor. There was no wash basin in the bathroom and toilet. The location is beautiful, but there is a lot of junk right in the front yard, which spoils the charm of the place. While it is pet-friendly, meaning we were allowed to bring our dogs, there being no gate and gaps in the fencing, outside dogs can be a menace; this the host had warned us about earlier. All of it was a bit too stark. Could be made cosier, nicer. There is a lot of rubble and plastic etc lying outside, on the way to the beach - this is not the owner's fault, but it is off-putting.
Hotel is really nice. You can see the beach from inside the hotel. All other hotels are away from beach, so by staying at this hotel you get extra time to spent on beach. Even late night no one visits the beach, but due to just 10 feet distance, you get extra time. Food was really awesome. 24hr hot water, King size bed, Spacious and clean rooms, 2G internet also works in that area. Note:- Instead of booking a hotel from any website, directly call to owner Mr. Pratap you will get cheap rates as compare to websites.
