Worst villa stay in Maharashtra. Do not book this hotel or guest house at any cost. Villa is not maintained at all. There are damp walls fungus all around and termites cockroaches and sanitation issues. Washrooms were flooding with dirty water.
The only redeeming factor of this property is the hospitality of the staff (Vilas & his team). The buildings need maintenance. We had book a villa and had to get the bulbs changed after we checked in as the bulbs were not working. A paint job is overdue as well. The location is a 5 minute drive to the beach by car. A little over a kilometer if you walk. It is quite near the Golden Ganapathy temple at Diveagar.
I stayed in Mauli resort, March 4th and 5th 2017 I booked a row house, as I was going with My family. The hotel is far from the beach and Ganpati temple. The rooms were huge but not maintained properly. (No hot water/drainage problem/fan issue) Housekeeping services and Manager were not corporative. They also have their own restaurant but a quality of food and value for money is not worth it. The good part about this resort that they have huge lawn, seating area and swimming pool.
Mauli Resort is located at the beginning of Diveagar, as one approaches from Mangaon. The resort is at the opposite end of Diveagar from the beach, which is, however, a 5-10 minute walk away. Our family had booked this resort as the others were full. Actually, it is not much of a resort. There are a couple of 'big' rooms, which can hold a family of four to small rooms, with 2 guests. They have a small restaurant and the Konkani food served there was quite decent. However, we found the room got too hot during the day and the air-conditioner did not seem to work, which was a big problem. One can book this resort for a short stay should other resorts be full during the tourist season. I would not recommend this place for those travellers who prefer a bed and breakfast homestay or for those preferring sea view cottages.…
Hi Guys...I would say its a decent place to visit. Though not luxurious as compared to other resorts ..its a good weekend get away destination... We had paid approx rs 550 for veg and 675 for non vegetarian...food. The cost included 1 breakfast + 1 meal + 1 snacks along with the access to board games ..archery ..tree house and temporary Tent..books to read and. A tour guide who took us around the mauli jungle and waterfall ...oops we also had an access to swimming pool .Talpade sir were very hospitable and we enjoyed our stay . nearest station Asangaon and pls book a vehicle to drop u from stn to the property. We managed to enjoy this place.at cost of rs 750 per perso n which includes local transport.. Resort fees and snacks which we carried for trekking
i went by the pictures of this place and booked for 02 nights . but as one can say looks can be deceptive the place looks good from outside but is extremely sad once you enter the villa type bungalows it is away from the beach a two minute drive to diveagar beach. The beach is fun and one can spend the day splashing in sea water and playing with sand toys with kids but once you are back from the beach there is no hot water as the timings for hot water are 7am to 9am only so basically if you are traveling with kids be prepared for this.( on repeated request was given 01 Bucket for the kids) Toilets are unhygienic and everything around is dusty with loads of mosquitoes...It is good for a group of guys wanting to get drunk or wasted but with kids around... this place is definitely a NO NO... they do give a bonfire in the night on request but the price for that is exorbitant Rs 500/- for a few sticks.... food is equally sad and no restaurants close by i checked out the very next day The only positive point of this trip was the Amazing aaravi beach which is close by and the fantastic drive by the sea one of the best i have seen…
Well accomodation is very basic.beware of mosquitoes . food quality is good.location is far from beach, its on main road. that's the major drawback.but considering all the factor we can stay here again.
They call it a resort, its not even the standard of a simple hotel. Very untidy and not maintained place. Ugly and dirty rooms and bathrooms. The whole place continuoulsy stinks. My, the place where you need to open your room, is a garbage area , etremely dirtly. WE visited this place during diwali holidays this year, 2013. We went to diveagar to stay close to nature, and here in the hotel we were stuck with in place where we could not open doors and windows, due to horrible, smell, and balcony full of cowebs ! The staircase is very dirty, the lawns are unkempt. Please do not go by the pictures they have put on thier site..i think when they originally built it, it must have been good, but now, its ridiculous. Having said that, what i saw from outside of other nearby hotels, i think most of them were equally bad, not sure, just and outside view. Best is to stay at the locals houses, they are much cleaner.…
We a group of 13 people had just come back from a visit to Diveagar, Srivardhan & Harihareshwar. After doing a detailed research on the hotel option in 3 places, we finalized Mauli resort. (People had suggested us to stay at Diveagar, as it has a better beach). We had booked 2 bunglows for 1 night (3 Dec 2011), we reached at 1 pm from mumbai on 3rd, checked in and had our lunch at their lawn (lunch was preordered a night before as ours was an advance booking). and spent the entire time at the time for the day. In all the bunglows were as they appeared on the net, swimming pool operational and a good konkani food (considering the area). Mauli resort is easily spottable on the main road. Would advise people to stay in bunglows if coming in groups as ample parking space witha big lawn to play.…
We had booked this resort on Phone and Net also, for my family of 8 person 4 childrens, in Mauli resort there was a person called GURUJI (Vilas Dhanvade) i dont know who is he but he took a commision of Rs. 500 for giving us the alternate booking apart from his Resort, He asked another 1000 rs. for using and cleaning the swiming pool, Guruji is very selfish and money hungry person photos on the website are fake , to fool the persons like us, all positive Reviews are mad e by them only please dont make fool like us Regards ; Snehal
