I stayed with my family at this wonderful resort and had a great time. In these tough COVID times, the hotel staff is following the protocols pretty well and adhering to the safety practices. Pros: Thoughtfully designed and well maintained cottages Nice landscaping, picturesque garden and pool 10 mins walk from the beach Amenities - Generator backup, kids play area, Indoor games, WiFi A decent buffet breakfast spread Total value for money stay Can do better: Need more parking space Water kettle and tea bags could be provided Breakfast starts at 8.30 am, which I feel is a bit late if you have to leave early A definite recommendation if you wish to spend a comfortable and relaxing time in the tranquil and laidback village of Diveagar!
This is my first review. I am trying to keep it as much to the point as possible to save the reader's time: 1) Intercom does not work. So you need to visit the reception every time for any order/room service. 2) Hotel Wifi works at times, and only at the reception/dining area. No hotel wifi in the room. 3) Mobile network coverage is nil. 4) Food may not be the best in taste (personally would have preferred a bit spicy), however, taste is a subjective matter. 5) Payments through debit/credit cards could be an issue due to network. Keep cash handy. Here the best things: 1) Couple friendly. 2) Kids friendly 3) Nice, clean rooms 4) Bathrooms, toilet - clean. 5) Hot water any time - no issues there. 6) All toiletries in place. 7) Towels available. 8) Small garden and some playing area for kids. 9) Green surroundings 10) Quiet environment, good for relaxing. 11) Helpful staff. 12) 10 min from the beach (walk). 2-3 min by car. Most people visiting over weekend would have their vehicle so this should not be a dampener. 13) One power-cut at night during our stay, but the backup took over immediately and the power resumed quick. This is just for information and did not create any issues during our trip. Summary: At this price, this could be one of the best places in Diveagar. We went there without any expectations as this region is not known for best of the resorts. But, we were pleasantly surprised. Do not expect 4 or 5 star rooms. Go with less expectations, and you may find it worth another visit.…
Diveagar beach is a beautiful serene beach perfect for relaxation (not for party seekers) with soft sand and very safe sea shore. Weather in Feb is excellent - cool and breezy. And this resort provides a near perfect stay, just 10 mins walking distance away from the beach - which you can reach by taking a stroll through beautiful village road. The cottages were spacious and well maintained. The spacing between cottages is also ample, ensuring privacy. Most of the mobile data not available in Diveagar esp. Jio but hotel provides BSNL wi-fi. Bathroom was very clean and the hot water supply was consistent. The verandah is very charming with betelnut trees all around and a small play area for children and it's charmingly lit in the evenings. Bonfires also arranged for on request. No complaints on the service and the staff is very co-operative & accomodate any customisation requests. Food is good and homely. Breakfast (complimentary) is excellent. Pool is also clean and well maintained with separate section for kids. All in all, a very positive and relaxing environment here. Best for family and couples. Very safe for children. All this for a reasonable price considering it is almost to the standards of a luxury hotel. You can also visit various beautiful temples which are nearby and try lip smacking authentic Kokan cuisine in one of the many nearby Khanavals (eatery in the backyard of a house) in Diveagar. Especially Suhas Bapat Khanaval and Sadafuli Paryatan Nivas.…
All the 12 rooms are arranged along three sides of the square plot. The fourth side has the swimming pool , reception and restaurant. There are plenty of greenery in form of shrubs , grass and trees. Rooms are spacious and sufficient for 4 adults. The only con is that the beach is approx a km from hotel .The path goes through village and on its own can be an experience.
Checked into Betelnut resort for a day on 7 Dec'19. Had booked two rooms as were a family of four. The rooms were clean, the staff very courteous and obliging and the meals were delicious! The view from the balcony was a delight- lived up to its name! Keep up the good work Lemy and team!
