The place has been beautifully renovated keeping traditions intact. Food is awesome but if you are on longer stay, it could be repetitive. (Exercise well) The guest care, front office staff, the restaurant staff are exceptional. The tour of the property and explanation was good.
Excellent place to unwind and to learn a bit of history about Chettiars tradition, trading skills and wealth in those days. An one acre palatial building built over seven years in 1904. Wow. Excellent food and leisure activities. Just check
One of the best place in Karaikudi. People who love to see and live in the heritage building, should choose this. Well maintained, Good hospitality, all staff are very friendly, Regards Srinivasan Perumal
If you are looking for a weekend getaway from chennai I highly recommend this place … its like a travel back in time … converted from a Chettiyar house to a hotel this place is amazing. Perfect blend of tradition and modern luxury. The food here is to die for… lip-smacking food one of the best i ever had. They have a few things to do like the Cooking demo, house tour and heritage village walk. Highly recommend the House tour with Priya … she is amazing has a lot of knowledge and talks passionately about the Chettiyar history. Walking through the house was like stepping back in time. Heritage walk with Ukkirapandian Was really good as well. U get a lot of information about the small village and houses there. We did a bullock cart ride for additional cost. The best thing that stood put was the staff… dont remember all their names but they went put of the way to help us and make us feel comfortable. For example i liked a pickle they had and they helped us with the store we can find it in along with the map …. My mom like a dish they gave us the complete recipe… helped us with tips for shopping places locally… when we left it was like leaving family. Highly recommended this place.…
