Well, it was a long weekend break, and the wife and I didn't want to miss the opportunity to do 2 things - 1. Visit Bhangarh Fort - which is rated the most haunted place in India 2. Unwind and do practically nothing - as our work schedules are quite hectic On our way from Gurgaon, we covered Bhangarh Fort...

A group of four friends on the way from Jaipur to Ranthambore stopped at this magical place. It was like stepping back into time, when life was slower, and more elegant. The hotel is the generations old great-house of a noble family from Jaipur, who also happen to be some of the best polo players in India! The grounds include...

The first thing to say about reviewing Talabgaon Castle is that in order to differentiate these 5 stars from any earlier 5 star reviews, I should probably go back to the others and knock them down to 4 stars ... its just that good. The setting, the staff, the food, the amenities, the service ... all were top notch. We...

90 Km from Jaipur via Dausa, Lalsot- this restored old fort categorized in secret retreat is real India countryside having 26 rooms in typical old Haweli style. Small steps,Rajasthani ARCH, 4 to 5 ft. corridors, good height of roof and 2 part wooden doors with 1 ft windows make a perfect insight into the old historical living. The architecture belongs to...

My family and I stayed at the castle for three nights and spent Christmas there this year. It was wonderful, and a great place to slow down in between more hectic Indian stops. We entirely enjoyed the brief camel wagon ride to a small and under-visited Indian village. A great stop in between crazy and hectic Jaipur. Breakfast on the...

We stayed here for 2 days during a month's visit to Rajasthan, travelling around the rural areas and staying in the old Palaces and Forts. Each one was different ; this one was like something out of a fairy tale ! A beautifully restored Palace, with bedrooms, gardens, grounds, and swimming pool, all of the very highest quality design. Delicious...

A trip through Rajasthan palaces would be an elegant and interesting adventure. Talabgaon Palace, located between Jaipur and Ranthambore is a not-to-miss gem. The small village on the way to the polo estate is charming and pretty. Like the other palaces I've visited, out party was greeted with cool drinks and warm washcloths. We were lucky enough to get a...

This is a great place to go to if you just want to hang around doing nothing apart from lounging in the pool. We were only 3 families during one of the days and got truly personalised service. The staff was very flexible with timings of meals. They could do with better infrastructure though for example intercom was out of...

The resort is about an hour out of Jaipur in truly rustic rural surroundings. The castle has been very tastefully restored and the entire property is very well maintained. Being a small resort, it is idea as a very peaceful getaway. The food is very good.
