Pros This located on the way to Munsiyari town, so somewhat away from the hustle bustle. Being at an elevation compared to the market, the view is better. On a clear day you will feel like you can touch Panchachuli. The sunrise is too good, probably the best in Uttarakhand. Excellent staff, very courteous. Cons Rooms and facilities are basic, do not expect luxury. But at that height this is acceptable and the 180 degree view will make you forget everything else. Wifi worked only in the dining room. Note: Super deluxe rooms are on the 1st floor and 2nd floor. Deluxe rooms on the ground floor do not have a balconu but there is a lawn in front with a huge rock serving as sitting area.
Great place to stay and spend holidays in Munsyari. Great view of Panchachuli peaks and sunrise. Food was good and hotel staffs were friendly. We stayed there for 2 days. Rooms were well furnished. Good view from room balcony.
Best stay i feel in terms of view (no obstruction of electric wire),hospitality awesome and room service the Best.Anyone can go without any hesitations. This is the first choice of Munsiyari. Beside hotel various birds can be seen,if you are a bird lover then it is fine too.
I have selected Milam Inn as I knew it was the best location in Munsyari. You get to see the best view of Panchachulli from Milam Inn. Rooms are excellent, neat and clean, staff behaviour and service was excellent, got response immediataly after calling them. And the food was too good, you need not go out for your dining or lunch. For me the Biriyani was especially tasty. The view in front of your balcony is unobstructed. Only the wifi was a bit of an issue as it was too slow, we could not enjoy the free wifi as promised.
We stayed at the property during Diwali 2nd-5th Nov 2021 and booked 1 Luxury as well as 1 super deluxe room. Pros: Views from the room: All the rooms have amazing view of Panchachuli group of peaks and Munsyari town Balcony: Ground floor and first floor rooms have sizeable balconies with sun till 10am since sunrise (Nov) Staff and service: This is one of the highlights. Staff is very polite and friendly. Service is top notch! Approach: Few KMs before the town on the main road Parking: Sufficient Parking Available and they are increasing it further (Work in progress) Connectivity: Jio works great. I could stream youtube HD videos. Vodafone is ok for phone calls but not internet. Cons: Rooms: Basic amenities(do carry your own toiletries) and first floor rooms are very cold. Super deluxe rooms do not have electric kettle. None of the rooms have heater but can be provided at a charge (we paid Rs. 500 per day for room heater) Building/property: Looks like a hostel at first glance and there's construction work going on as they are adding more rooms and parking space- this is a key watch out (we were not informed about it during booking) Food: This is subjective but we did not find it worth the amount being charged. Do try veg Maggi. Cleanliness: Due to construction work going on there's a constant slush in the parking area that you have to pass whenever you need to move out of hotel, you end up carrying a lot of it into the room/ bathroom if you dont keep the footwear separate which is difficult as you dont want to leave your shoes/slippers out of the room. Towels require replacement as most of them are stained with pan/gutka. Final take: This still remains on of the best properties at Munsyari which is PET FRIENDLY. Else you may try KMVN's TRC (govt run). Best of luck to management for improving on the slight niggles.…
We had booked 2 rooms for 3 day stay at end Mar 2020. Unfortunately because of covid19 pandemic we had to cancel our entire trip. When I approached Milam Inn to get a refund, they were nice enough to give a voucher for 1 year. As you know the pandemic is still going on so we could not travel and they refunded the money. The customer service was excellent. We are hoping that we will be able to visit in 2023 and will surely stay at this property.
Milam Inn is probably the best option to stay at Munsiyari. Located at a couple of kms before the town, this is away from the standard hustle and is in a calm place. The view is amazing and the service by Basant ji is fantastic. The rooms are clean with a big geyser - so hot water is never a problem. The only problem i saw was the restaurant and kitchen were a bit run down but otherwise this is an excellent place to stay at Munisyari.
I went for a short trek around Munsiari and stayed for three nights, great location, friendly staff, amazing views with all facilities. All Covid19 protocols are strictly followed, it's necessary to carry RT PCR negative test report taken within 72 hours of arrival. It's raining majestically and soothing for travel hungry like me.
Excellent location and staff. The kitchen staff and hospitality is amazing. If you want be out of city noise it’s an excellent choice . Food is a bit costly but it is even tastier with the view. Great food quality also. In 2003 I was in KMVN and it was the only option. Selected Milam based on google reviews and it was worth. Kmvn and surroundings are congested . This was a far better location..
Hotel is well located 2 km before and above the congested town downhill. We stayed in the "Luxury" rooms on the top (second floor) in early April as these were relatively new. These rooms are the same size as the Deluxe and Super Deluxe rooms on the lower floors. The furniture is minimal and plastic. The room, bath and linen were clean. We were surprised when we were told that a heater would be charged extra, when we had been informed that it was included in the price at the time of booking. We were finally provided the heater without charge. It was a small single cartridge heater which did not have much effect against the cold, particularly as the room is poorly insulated with gaps in the doors and windows. Another irritant was poor sound insulation with noise from TV and conversations in the adjoining rooms causing significant disturbance. Redeeming features were the outstanding service provided by Vasant for all our needs, the amazingly delicious Indian food served for all the meals and the spectacular view of the Himalayas we got from our room balcony on the final morning of our two night stay. With limited lodging options available, the Milam Inn seemed to be a fair choice and good value for our stay in Munsiyari.…
