We booked 1 room for 2 nights in this hotel way ahead of our travel on Apr with the higher price as there are few hotels in Munsiyari. They deducted the full amount in few days and sent a mail about the confirmation. After few days prior to our travel their staff contacted me that they dont have any room available so if they can put us up in another hotel which is nearby. My question is if the rooms were not available how can you show that on the websites and why you deducted the amount and sent the confirmation. I came to know about this before 2 weeks of our travel. I found it very very unprofessional. As there are not many hotels available and we agreed to it because I was travelling with my kids. The hotel which we were put in was Bijlu Inn, the rooms were not at all standard. But the problem is with the communication between these hotels. Even after paying the total amount including food+Accomadation plan, during our checkout and day before that they were telling us that only accommodation is agreed upon, we have to talk to Vijay Mount View. While leaving again they started confirming. We found it very very bad experience. Definitely I will never recommend this hotel to anyone. Even booking the rooms way ahead of our travel(May), deducting the total amount, the behavior is not acceptable. In our total 10 days stay in Uttarakhand this is the only experience which is bad.…
Hotel has nice accomodation but we faced huge issue as the hotel has two big mountain dogs. one of them chased on my kid and he fell and got fracture. so beware of the same it has great view of panchakauli peaks.
It is one of the best hotels in Munsiyari. Luxurious, so a bit costly, but value for money. very good view from the rooms and balcony. we stayed there for two nights, 11th and 12th November, 2019. It was a full moon night, so even in the darkness, we can see the Panchachulli range from our room. the only problem is the staff, who are quite moody in nature and try to impose their decision on you. But you just need to make them understand who the boss is. They will say that one plate of food is not enough for two, but it is. so rely on your own idea. good food quality.overall good.
The rooms are nice and spacious. We had opted for the family suite. It had 2 bedrooms with an attached toilet in each bedroom. The rooms offer enchanting views of the himalayas. Service requires improvement. Food is average.
Located by the side of the road but the entry slope is quite tight and also parking place is limited. Rooms are of decent size with a great huge glass window and a balcony facing the hill tops. Beds were comfortable and linens were clean. TV with cable channels were working. Bathroom was compact but had all facilities including running hot and cold water. The hotel manager is a terrible fellow - starting from check-in to extending other services, this man himself is enough to tarnish the image of hospitality. When other staffs were trying to extend help as much as possible, this man was trying to stope them. For example we needed a early check-out and thus enquired how early then could serve the included breakfast. The kitchen staffs said they would be ready by 7am and the manager rebuked them openly and said that they can't gurantee before 8.30am. But in reality, the kitchen starts operating from 6am and they acturally served by 7am. Room cleanliness also need to be taken care of little more. Overall good from view and sleep quality point of view. Rest everyhting are forgettable and its mainly due to the manager.…
The hotel has very bad parking and the washrooms are not spacious The hotel is overhyped and many better options are there at munsyari the service is good and the food is delicious with limited options The balconies of view rooms are opened to parking only where drivers of taxi roams around so not comfortably enjoyed the balcony
A typical budget hotel in Munsiyari with stunning views of snow capped mountains. Even though it’s a budget accommodation still the staff are responsive and very hard working. Food is decent to average. Not a bad choice in Munsiyari.
As it was raining and we were a day before in Munsiyari so there was no other option for opting this hotel. Some how we managed to get the rooms but the most annoying was non of Double Bed Rooms were vacant therefore we have to take few 2 Bed Room Room has only one combined Bathroom.. More over 3 Double Bed Room had 1 bathroom, you can imagine what must have been the circumstances.Next very day without having bath we went on a search for a different Hotel and we found one and was way way better than this Hotel , That is Milam Hotel , just 5 mins walk from Vijay Mount.
This is undoubtedly the best of the limited suitable resorts / hotels available in Munsiyari (others are - Milam Inn, Bilju Inn, Pandey lodge and Bala Paradise, of which Pandey lodge and Bilju Inn are very near to main market)...others, including this one is a little far off. Now coming to the hotel, we had gone with our family and neighbors and had booked 3 rooms for 3 nights (1 Himalayan suite, 2 super dlx wooden Himalaya facing rooms), all with attached verandah. We did booking directly with Rajat ji and got very good deal. Our deal was inclusive of taxes, b/f and heater. The rooms were large and clean with an awesome view of Panchachulli range right from the bed..you don't even need to walk to the verandah !!..The bathroom had 24x7 running hot / cold water. Basic toiletries and clean towels were provided. Breakfast was good but limited in variety (aloo paratha, poori sabji, bread omelette, milk / cornflakes). Evening snacks included - paneer pakora / veg or onion pakoda / chicken pakora. Dinner variety was also extremely limited and even chowmein had to be brought in. However, the staff is extremely cheering and helpful. They arranged bonfire on our request (at extra cost) and even arranged for the raw ingredient and chicken marination. That was extreme fun for 1 night. Rooms do hve LCD Tv with Bengali / other channels. They provide driver food / acco also. Wi-fi did not work during our stay an also mobile internet is very slow - but one cannot expect it in such a remote location at height..anyway with the views around you don't need such stuff :)...just enjoy the beauty and fresh air !! They accept only cash and card machine will not work, again understandable.…
Hi Folks! Today I am here again to provide my feedback for our stay at Vijay Mount View Resort, Munsiyari, Uttarakhand. Munsiyari is such a place where you need a balcony or view room to enjoy the splendid view of Panchchuli peaks at a stone-throwing distance. Enjoy the sunrise and sunset. First of all let me tell you there is vey minimum good hotels are available at this place. Although from all hotels the Panchchuli peaks are visible clearly. Few hotels are at a certain height without any obstructed view, Vijay Mount View Resort is one of them. It will come a few blocks after the renowned Milam Inn at your right at a steep. We stayed 2 nights at this hotel. We booked from 7th November (Diwali) – 9th November 2018. The hotel exterior is moderate from outside. They provide free parking and free rest room & food for driver, which is a good thing at a place like Munsiyari. Now lets come to the point. We were 2 couple with a child of 9 years old. We have booked rooms from Goibibo (2 Super deluxe mountain view with balcony with breakfast, as we knew there is nothing to do much apart from watching the snow mountain beauty). We actually reached there at about 6:45 pm at evening. We were very tired after the long journey from Kausani (nearly 175 KM). Though the manager knew about our late arrival as I called him that day morning before checking out from Kausani hotel about our late arrival and he told our rooms will be ready once we are there. So we were relieved and not in a hurry as we already spoke to the manager. But when we reached there the drama has begun. First of all they provided us a 4-bed adjoining two rooms side-by-side with a single way out (from other rooms bathroom) telling us that is the best one they kept for us. The main thing is both the room has that single bathroom which can be accessed either way from both rooms without keeping any privacy. We’re just like “WTF, are you joking?” we conformed manager and asked him about separate room as we are not a single family and we’ve booked 2 separate rooms and after knowing we are coming they sold those 2 rooms to other parties in high rate. My friend and me started asking him about the booking and how did this happened and forcing to provide our room. Manager said sorry and was ready to provide free dinner and even one night money for the same, but one thing he must know if we are fond of money then we could have booked the cheaper room not the high rated room. Though he was not able to bribe us. He was forcing us to take one room and ground floor and other non-view room at some other floor and take dinner & some cash. That’s is not expected from some renowned hotel, that’s very cheap from a hotel which has such good reviews. The argue was going on and then suddenly my wife took the entire dare and confronted with the manager and forced him to free our rooms and provide that special bathrooms to those whom they have sold the best rooms. Jai Nari Shakti!! We don’t know how they did but somehow they managed to shift some other guests to those adjoining room and finally we got 2 rooms with balcony at the first floor. Though we still believe they managed to shift some innocent guests to that room because our rooms were at 2nd floor. Anyways it was late and we waited another 40 minutes and then finally nearly 8:45 we got our rooms. Our Diwali was mostly spoiled due to their illogical business. Anyway we have got our rooms finally, thanks to my wife. ☺ So be aware after booking please talk to the manager to provide the exact room and also if you are running late inform them. Otherwise they might sell that to someone else. Pros: Rooms: If you are booking view rooms with balcony you can see the peaks from the bed and I am not joking. Rooms were clean with 24-hour geyser. 32 inches LCD equipped with DTH (mostly all popular channels) and the bed can easily accommodate 2 people comfortably and room size somewhat okay with balcony and big window. Intercom & dining in room is available. Wi-Fi is also available but not so strong and I guess someone can get Wi-Fi signals only at the reception area, somehow its manageable though. Food: Quality and quantity both are good. Some of them are taste great. No mineral water so you need to purchase every time. They have provided bed-tea and breakfast, as it was included to our booking. Included breakfast options are very limited. They need to work on that. Overall food was good. But they don't take order anything after the mentioned time in the menu thats a pain for sure. Driver stay and dedicated parking is available freely. Cons: I did not find any con so far apart from what happened to us at the first day. So my only advice to the hotel is please try to update your thoughts. If someone booking a particular room then he/she must has something in mind. Don’t just cover your negligence by bribing few money and free food. Sometimes sorry is just not enough. We are your guests. Provide us what we have booked. You have a good hotel, carry your reputation not your failure. I would still recommend your hotel to everybody as I did not found anything wrong apart from the mishaps happened the first day due to your negligence. All the best.…
