The chef deserves applause for a beautifully turned out breakfast buffet. The staff is cordial and helpful.
Staff doesn't look like trained( though they are courteous) for star level hospitality and the facilities are not for the price they charge.
Bathroom is not clean and appears unhygienic. Didn't feel like giving a bath to my child there.
Who serves food in melamine dishware. Certainly only a two star hotel can do that. Typical plastic dishware with untrained staff.
The hotel needs to improve upon its facilities to commensurate with the price they charge.
Food : the food is really tasty and great, the spread is good but not lavish. All the misses are compensated with food taste and services of the staff. Really wonderful and eager to help staff, lots of love to Aparna for her care and understanding, she prepared home made masala tea separately for us and the tea was really good. thank you to Sakib also for all the help he did.
Ambience : the ambience is neat and clean, soothing music makes you feel good, check in was smooth. Special mention for Mr. Nishat, very jovial and interacting person who is handling the front manager position very well. God bless the staff.
The hotel is about 1 km from the Somnath Temple. Its architecture is pleasingly modern. Our room was far larger compared with similar European or even American hotels of similar categories. Extensive use of beech colored wooden trim gave it an upscale feel.
Our check in was smooth. The manager, Mr. Rayees Khan, was at the reception, supervising the check-ins to insure that guests had a smooth check-in experience. Mr. Khan is a very personable and his demeanor was both friendly & professional at the same time. His attention to detail was impressive and he took care of issues promptly.
Breakfast was included in the price of the room & apart from that we had two meals at their restaurant. The breakfast included both South Indian as well as North Indian cuisines. There was nod to the European taste buds by including delicious cucumber sandwiches.
The restaurant being a “pure vegetarian” restaurant, they don’t serve egg preparations.
At dinner I saw them make custom pizzas for customers.
In the restaurant we have to give a shout out to our waitress Aparna. She seemed to be the only one working hard & she worked with a smile. She too was extremely professional, despite it being so busy at breakfast time. Their manager Dheerendra was always on hand to make sure the customers were served well.
I also have to give a shout out to Junaid the maintenance manager & Azeem the bellboy. Both were not only courteous but also took care of issues promptly.
Should I return to Somnath, I would have no hesitation in staying at this hotel again.
I am reducing one star because- We extended our stay for one more day and the price of one day was Double the price of what we booked before.
The room was well appointed and very spacious. The AC,Toilet and the basic amenities were upto mark.
I just missed somehow the shaving kit and the slippers.
The whole management, staff were very helpful and friendly.
The food was very hygienic and prepared upto our expectations.
The waiting lounge, restaurant, children play area, lawn, parking are very adequately designed and are quite spacious.
The Spa Services need improvement.
Overall my personal experience is
5 ⭐.
I will prefer to stay here again during my next visit to Somnath..
Travellers like me can book their stay here without any hesitation.
It should be a great experience.
