I stayed here for two weeks in February. We were allocated a very large two bedroom apartment with a lovely sunny balcony. The apartment had a dishwasher (tabs were provided), a washing machine and dryer. The weather was beautiful but it did get cold in the evening. The heating system was perfect for the evening time. The apartment itself while very large was a little tired. The soft furnishings needed upgrading but I understand that they are renovating the apartments at present. There was a bit of noise as maintenance work was being carried out around the pool, but this didn't detract from our enjoyment. The apartment was cleaned every day and clean towels etc were provided. The apartment was very clean. The tv provided channels in a number of languages including english which was very handy. We ate in the restaurant on a number of evenings and it was both tasty and very good value. The apartment is walking distance to the marina, but a little train also runs along this route for a small fee. However we chose to walk. There is an indoor pool, but there is also an outdoor heated pool which is heated I understand from the middle of February. The temperature is more than adequate to get in and swim. The staff in the four seasons were very friendly and most helpful. In fact I would highly recommend the four seasons.

Had to jump through a few hoops to actually get on holiday this year but it was so worth the effort. The apartments are all of a very high standard and the systems in place to handle the covid 19 restrictions are all working like a well oiled machine.The linen replacement is totally replaced for your first night and again every other day. We were provided with mask wipes and cleaning hand gel on arrival and encouraged to use hand sanitisers around the site regularly. If you wanted to stay onsite for you holiday there is quite a nice restaurant available at reasonable prices. Vilamoura marina is a 5 to 6 euro taxi ride or you can walk it in 20 minutes. Some very nice places to eat and drink to suit all ages. If golf is you thing we were sitting watching the golfers on Pinal golf course. I must finish off with a mention for all of the staff from managers waiters reservation and reception staff. In particular a mention for Vanda and Jessica, who is a whizz on the computer as she downloaded and printed all my test to fly and passenger locator forms so we just sailed through airport check in. We really enjoyed our stay here with a nice 2BR ground unit. Staff were diligent and well prepared with Covid and made us feel comfortable from the time we checked in. Of course its a bit different with the virus but the resort was just as nice as we remember when we visited in 2011. The units were well stocked with loads of toilet tissue, dishwasher liquid, detergent and towels. We didn't need to request a thing. The unit was spacious and suoer clean but is showing some wearin the livingroom furniture. I understand units are being refurbished. Ample parking and the restaurant was open for takeaway and dining. The staff were all so kind, helpful and cheerful during this difficult time. Luckily the Algarve has not been hit too hard with numbers but precautions are taken seriously. The location is right near the golf course and tucked away in the Old Village, Quiet yet very central to all the area has to offer. We enjoyed our stay and the grounds were beautifully kept. It was quiet thus time around due to covid.The resort was comfortable and a pleasure to stay here. We look forward to a return visit.

Booked a late week through RCI gold timeshare, but sadly not worthy of the gold status. This could be a little gem in the summer months as the outside areas of pool & gardens are lovely and well maintained, but sadly the rooms are badly in need of a refit as they don't appear to have had one for a long time. On the plus side they are a good size, but they are very dark & cold - lights needed in the daytime and whilst heating is expected at this late time of year this meant further expense as electricity is to be paid for as an extra! Really in this day & age?! And on, the bed settee was falling apart, the bed itself had seen better days, the fridge leaked water across the floor (I slipped over) and there was a nasty smell which kept wafting through especially noticeable when first entering the room. It was clean but again there was an extra charge if you wanted maid service more than twice a week. The final downside has to be location, which although next to a golf course we found to be isolated within a residential complex and didn't see another soul on the 40minute walk to the marina. No it is not 10-15 mins as stated. The positives were the staff and the food which were of a good standard. We have stayed at many 4* apartments/hotels and this in no way matches, so sorry to say the Four Seasons needs a refurb to warrant its 4* status. For the first time ever we decided to cut our losses and move on.

As we care about our customers experience when staying at our resort it’s such a shame you did not share your concerns so we could have dealt with them for you. Our aim is to make all our customers happy as our no.1 position on this site (at time of writing) certainly shows. We are positioned at no.1 by our patrons and this is in comparison to 3, 4 & 5 star resorts in Vilamoura. Additionally, our 5 star gold rating by RCI (which we have held for 25 years) is based on strict criteria and especially customer feedback. Nevertheless we take on board your comments and will investigate your concerns and when we find areas to improve upon… we will. Any customer can look online at various map apps… they will see that we are a 1.2 mile walk from the Marina which is 22 minutes and not 40 minutes as you state… maybe you took a long route? We are delighted that you enjoyed the food and found our staff to be wonderful… we agree with you on these points.

We have been coming to this resort for over 10 years now and, having missed our break earlier this year, had fully expected this visit to be cancelled but, amazingly, the travel corridor opened and there we were! I was very nervous before travelling but was instantly reassured on arrival to see friendly faces among the staff and to find such good Covid-safe procedures in place, including sanitising stations, a reservation system for sunbeds, a print out of clear information on local guidance and a one-way system through the reception and bar area. The way the resort has adapted says everything about the standards they set. As always, we had a wonderful break, a week of sun, wonderful pools, great food, lovely people and relaxation, appreciated even more than usual in these difficult times. I cannot recommend this resort highly enough

When we chose our holiday we were specifically looking for a heated pool. I emailed 5 hotels in the Algarve to ask if they had a heated pool and the others were all honest and said no. Therefore we were very disappointed to arrive to find out that the pool was not heated even though the four seasons had emailed me telling me the pool was heated. in addition the indoor pool was closed.
We chose a resort which was significantly higher priced than the others on our list because we really wanted a relaxing break with a touch of luxury The apartment was nice but definitely not luxury. The decor was dated, kitchen equipment limited. There was a broken toaster which we had to ask to be replaced on 4 occasions. The towels and gowns were hard and small. The apartment was not cleaned daily as promised but only cleaned 2 out of our 5 days. The bath room was very dated with cracks in the tiles and on the toilet cistern.
On our second day we emailed guest services to explain our frustration that the pool wasn't heated and also ask for some information on the resort as we didnt know if our room was supposed to be cleaned and did not have any other information. I received a very prompt reply and the offer to meet with the manager the following day. The manager was lovely and really apologetic and asked us how he could put things right for us. The problem was he couldn't. This was our one opportunity to get away and we chose a luxury break with a heated pool, the resort was not luxury and the pool was not heated. We explained to hm that we thought we were safe booking Four seasons and though the break would be similar to other holidays we had in the Shangri la, Corinthia and Fairmont but the manager explained that although this is called Four seasons it is not actually part of the Four Seasons Group it just has the same name. This is actually a resort of time share apartments therefore all the guests we met round the pool come year after year, they know the resort and have all the information which is probably why we were not given any information. The resort is located in the old town which is beautiful however it is definitely a 30 minute walk to the harbour. The land train was not running while we were there.

Please, accept our most sincere apologies for not being able to meet all of your expectations during your holiday. The truth is the entire tourism industry is still trying to adjust to the new ‘normality’. In relation to the beach and kids pool, and as explained by our Operations Manager, these are heated up to 25 degrees and from mid-May, we switch off the Heating System as there is no need for the heat source with the beautiful warm days as you and your family experienced. You actually confirmed that on the second day the pool was much warmer. We cannot comment on your standard of luxury as most guests are very satisfied with the standard of the Resort. In terms of the cleaning, our Operations Manager explained the issue and your accommodation was cleaned 3 out of 4 days. We resolved the issue of the toaster and the towels. The train (due to the Portuguese restrictions) was only allowed to operate from the 3rd of June (the day of your check-out). We are delighted to know that you have considered the apartment ‘nice’, the location ‘beautiful’ and the guest services ‘prompt’. This is a large place with most usual amenities including several swimming pools, gym etc... Customers are essentialy golfers, many with families, meaning quite a lot of kids. Rooms are very large and well equipped, quite comfortable. The hotel seems to be quite old but is extremely well maintained and you only notice it with small details like old fashioned electric switches. Bathrooms have been refurbished and are modern. Overall no problem. The place is very quiet, but unfortunately the AC units are fairly noisy (they are split units but you clearly hear the noise out of the rooms, this is the main negative point I noticed) (and by the way using AC in October is quite a a strange idea!!). Breakfast is OK but a bit repetitive given the present rules. Staff is nice and helpful. Prices very reasonable. The location is good too, especial for golfers but also not too far by foot from the marina and its activities. Would recommend.

year 21 for us and 12 as a family and the staff are still as friendly although some changes in personnel as you would expect fantastic week over xmas with the family , always immaculate rooms and everything around the hotel You feel safe as a family and that means alot , we actually had halfboard and the food was varied and very good ! hired mountain bikes for 4 days and explored the area even more , 10 euros a day per bike and bikes were pretty good with spare tubes /repair kit and pump with helmets .dropped off and picked up ONTIME . Nice touch with christmas tree in room from hotel also , thank you to all the staff as always and look forward to christmas and new year there 2020 with you all and the baked fish xmas night .dave, becky and twins

stayed for 10 nights in a fab 2 bedroom apartment which was huge! light and airy and had all the things you need. Huge comfortable bed and lovely balcony overlooking the pools. Beautiful views over the whole of Vilamoura and golf courses. couldn't really ask for more.
The hotel has 3 fantastically clean and well kept pools. Sun loungers are allocated to you every day, cleaned and sanitized.
The hotel are dealing with Covid really well and it feels incredibly safe both in terms of ensuring people are vaccinated or are covid free when you arrive and taking measures to keep it safe while you are there. Hats off to them on that side.
Lunch and dinner food is good value for money, we didn't eat breakfast as it was a bit pricey. Again, staff taking steps to ensure that everything is clean.
So overall, very good and would certainly recommend.
However, BE WARNED!! apartments on the top floors have a serious health and safety issue where the stair wells are open and have a sheer drop. the walk-way walls are also VERY shallow - small children could so easily fall over the walls to their death if they are on the upper floors. I am so surprised that the resort management have not taken steps to improve the safety of these walkways and open stair-wells. But it's now on the record so should an accident happen, the owners could have done something about it!
Definitely would still recommend but not for apartments located high up.

My sister and I researched throughly and were delighted we chose to book the Four Seasons at Vilamoura on a half board basis. The two bedroom apartment we were led to was almost faultless. Beautifully clean (refurbished/cleaned during the winter), both bedrooms and the sitting room/kitchen/patio felt luxurious but homely and very spacious as with the en suite and bathroom. The bed linen, towels and bath robes were good quality and again spotless (changed regularly) which is not always the case and bath products were topped up generously. (We slipped up and didn't take any kitchen basics (coffee, tea, milk, water) and there was nothing (no hamper) which would be helpful or made clear, even if a charge applied). However, this certainly didn't take away our delight with the apartment, which included a lockable safe, ironing board/washing m/c etc provided. Now the FOOD ... due to being end April/early May sadly not all of the restaurants (buffet, themed restaurants etc) were available but after mentioning our disappointment to the charmingly efficient and friendly Ruben (Public Relations Manager) we could not have been looked after better. Not only did Ruben understand our disappointment, he ensured the entire Brasserie menu was available to us and we felt when we ordered from this menu everything was 'cooked to order' which meant hot, fresh and superb sea bass (for example) and veg were cooked to perfection. The avocdo & prawn starter tasted beautiful and the presentation sublime, as was the chocolate mousse (like molten chocolate) in fact, the best we had ever tasted we commented! Breakfast was ample but a little underwhelming and repetitive, though omlettes were available (again cooked to order) and a daily offering of the usual buffet bacon, eggs etc (not a fan) but also great pastries and yoghurts were also available and to be fair the fresh fruit platters were gorgeous! The staff we felt were almost without exception SUPERB. We commented several times that we felt the staff were so friendly, funny and above all GENUINELY there to enhance our holiday experience ... a real credit to Four Seasons, Vilamoura. So thank you so much to all, a really memorable and enjoyable experience and it didn't hurt the weather was amazing too! Thank you again to Ruben, keep doing what you are doing - we would love to revisit!
