We are just back from a 2 weeks stay at these very spacious apartments. Everything is in place for protection from covid lots of hand sanitizer and you must wear a mask everywhere outside your room. The breakfast was well organised and run perfectly right down to everything being wrapped up individually. The staff we very friendly and most helpful. We were on the 6th floor with a marina and sea view which was spectacular. The room was a bit dated but spotlessly clean and maid service every day. The location is perfect everything on hand. The only let down is the noise coming from the bars downstairs it goes on till around 4am. There is a gentlemans club underneath the hotel and lots of ladies of the night. Its such a shame because the hotel is really worth staying in.

Dear Ms Angela, Thank you for taking the time to post your review following your stay at Luna Olympus. We are so pleased to know that you enjoyed our hospitality. Good location is certainly the highlight of the unit. We regret any inconvenience caused by the the bars underneath which, unfortunately, are not controlled by the hotel. Although, we are working towards finding a solution to minimize the noise such as the improvement of window frames. The work will be carried out for this winter 2020/2021 Hoping that you will join us again in a near future. Nélia Gago and the Luna Olympus’ Team

I booked accommodation direct with the hotel. Family of three , two adults and 16 year old.
Check in was welcoming and efficient. The apartment is modern, massive with a huge fridge freezer and dining table. It was clean and well maintained. The kitchen has a toaster, kettle and all the kitchen utensils you need. We didn’t use the kitchen and only used the fridge for drinks.
Breakfast was included which was a buffet with plenty of choice.
We had a safe in our room which is €3 per day ( June 2023).
The location is perfect we had a view from our balcony to the Marina. It is only a couple of minutes walk to the marina and all
restaurants and shops.
There is small mini market right next to the hotel which we used to buy water, juice & ice lolly’s . You would need to go to a bigger supermarket to buy food if you were eating in.
There is a baby pool and a bigger pool.
This accommodation is more like serviced apartments and is cleaned everyday. There was no problem with noise at night.
We pre-booked a transfer from Faro Airport with Yellow Fish Transfer which was extremely efficient and well organised. I have used before and would highly recommend.
This was our first time in Vilamoura and we enjoyed it

I was dreading our visit after seeing some reviews. We arrived about 20-30 and it was a smooth check in, we were on the 6th floor with a Marina view, The apartment was huge , we immediately went to the Marina to eat as it was late.

We went to bed early that night as we were tired after travelling, the bed was huge and very comfortable. In the morning and we had a look around the apartment and almost every cupboard and the doors to the bathroom and bedroom were all chipped, bashed and worn, the bathroom roof was all warped and didn't fit, there was no coffee maker, not even a perculator despite been advertised on booking.com as having one.

The view from the Balcony was stunning but the 2 plastic chairs were disgusting, we were paying £200 a night for this, is it too much to ask for to have a nice comfy seat or two.

We went for breakfast , it was ok, but beware of the coffee, it is really bad and never improved all week

The hotel seemed to be mostly groups of men and groups of women who were very noisy at times.

The sunbed idiots were out in force again here claiming their beds before breakfast, also beware of slamming doors, this isn't exclusive to this hotel, it just seems to be a thing with selfish visitors.

We had a problem with smokers on either side of us when on the balcony and our last night as spoiled by a party next room to us.

The bars downstairs are open to 5am and are very noisy, if you want a relaxing holiday, then this is NOT the place for you

The Luna Olympus looked to be a perfect place to have a relaxing stay but the hotel was very noisy at night due to bars situated literally at the front. It usually started about midnight with loud music and singing which usually went on until early morning. We were at the back on the second floor but this didn't seem to help. I did read one review similar to our findings when researching where to stay but all the rest seemed to outweigh the other comments.
The rooms were very spacious and kept very clean at all times but a distinct lack of furniture to absorb the sound making it very noisy.
The staff, especially Esmeralda at reception, Christina in the restaurant were exceptionally helpful also the manager helped us move to another room on our second day due to faulty air conditioning.
Breakfast was plentiful, again the staff were always on hand to help. Unfortunately the bar in the hotel wasn’t used, which had been mentioned in the details plus no other available food during the day at the pool area.
The pool was always kept clean and plenty of sun loungers available if you didn’t want to walk to the beach, there was an extra charge made for pool towels.
On our second day the hotel group had been hacked and left us with no Wi-Fi in our rooms, the only available connection was in reception which turned out to be difficult as we have an elderly relative who we needed to kept in contact with via a video doorbell. Because of the lack of Wi-Fi we had added expense of adding extra data to our phones.
The bathroom was definitely in need of a upgrade the shower over the bath was pretty poor and the cupboards were chipped and water stained. Fortunately the towels were changed daily if required and housekeeping were very efficient.
Despite the lack of facilities it was easy walking distance to the Marina and there was numerous bars and restaurants which were constantly touting for business, a good mix of prices but you had to be careful for the added extras! We found the cafes away from the marina were a little cheaper and equally as good.
Unfortunately I don’t think we will be making another trip to this hotel.

We are here for 1 week after a 12 hour flight delay finally arriving at 1am in the morning.

Requested a high floor at the back of the building as I’ve stayed here before and knew about the noise. We got a 4th floor room at the front!!!!

Went straight to bed but the disappointment kicked in as soon as we woke up.

The room is shabby, dated, broken and nothing much has changed in 9 years since my last stay.

The bathroom is appalling (see photos) with the smallest shower cubicle I have ever used. The doors do not close and the shower tracks are filthy with mould as are the tiles.

We have broken mirror doors, holes in the floor tiles, tatty scratched furniture, skirting board missing, wardrobe doors that don’t open, the list is endless.

I have stayed in better 3 star hotels and paid a lot less.

I asked to be moved but was told the hotel was full, I contacted Jet2 24 hour helpline and 3 days in am still waiting for a rep to speak to me. Am still here if the Manager wants to pop in.

The road noise is not great as you have endless traffic and show offs roving their engines at night then the bins are emptied at 6am…..

On a positive the location is fantastic, the breakfast is good and the hotel is kept clean.

But what’s that saying, you can’t polish a t**d.

Needs some serious investment.

I have made an online complaint to Jet 2 as the pictures they show on their page are misleading and nothing like the room we are currently staying in.

Dear Guests, Thank you very much for your preference and review. We would like to inform you that just today, the 2nd of September we were informed that you are not pleased with the room, 5 days after your arriuval, and it was JET2 that informed us. Unfortunatly there was no request of a room facing to the back of the Hotel in your reservation, as we did show to the JET2 representative and we did not know it. When guests have a problem We are always available to help , and honestly , even after checkin with the all receptions Team , none of them seems to know that you have requested to reception to move rooms. Sometimes is not possible in one day, but according to the check out we always try our best , to move the guests as quick as possible, when we are informed. Please accept our apologies for the situations reported. Your comments will be subject to internal analysis, so that we can look for solutions to the aspects you focused on Today I tryed to talk to you after the Jet2 Representative came, but you went out and I did not manage to see you. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again. Always feel welcome! Best regards

Simply the best 😄 stayed for Christmas and new year 2019/2020. The staff are so happy and friendly and helpful. On arrival check in it was perfect a lovely lady called Esmerelda was very accommodating when the room allocated was on a higher floor than I wished to be on she went out of her way to find us a room we would be happy with. Rooms are lovely and spacious very clean and maid service for towels and toilet roll and cleaning was every single day including Christmas Day. On Christmas Eve we were left some cake all wrapped up. We were left a lovely note of the hotel management to say no maid would be there on New Year’s Day !! 1 day off in the two weeks we were there. Perfect location on the marina next to all bars restaurants and a 10 minute walk to Quarteira. Perfect for golfers which we are to book golf and a courtesy bus from the hotel to the courses. Thank you Luna Olympus for the best Christmas and New year. Great staff great hotel

Should not be open. The hotel has had a large fire , no information regarding this was given. Arrive at hotel to hanging down wires, no lighting in communal areas, no reception staff.
There was no food or drink during the whole holiday despite being paid for
No reception staff to speak to
Rooms were dated, poorly cleaned with tiles hanging off
Availability of hot water was poor as went cold if used shower more than twice
Pool was full of slime
Open drug dealing in area
Would never ever go back

We stayed 12th August for 7 days wish we had booked for longer.
Superb location footsteps away from the beautiful Marina.
Breakfast was good and plenty of choice.
Our 1 bed apartment was huge & spotless which we watched the amazing sunset from our balcony each evening before heading down to the marina.
The staff were wonderful & nothing was too much trouble even printing off my hubbys speech the night before (midnight) our daughters wedding as he had made amendments to the original.
They even decorated our room on our arrival which our daughters had arranged for my hubbys 50th to our surprise & gave him a bottle of Prosecco to help him celebrate 😊
Fabulous hotel will be staying here again if we go back to Vilamoura
Vilamoura itself is a absolutely gorgeous resort ☀️🏖

This is a good hotel. Rooms were clean and very spacious (2 x 2 bedroom apartments for 8 people), check in was easy. We had a corner unit with an amazing view and a walk around balcony bigger than I've ever seen. Location is good, bar down below, near the marina. We visited in the off season, so didn't really do the beach stuff but it's pretty close and it is a really nice area, newish and more spacious than old Portugal towns. Great value for money, prices way down in November, although it's somewhat dead there in terms of crowds. We still managed to find lots to drink and eat at late hours.

Small complaints...one small couch in the unit for a group of 4? Add a small couch (lots of empty space for it, units are huge) and a coffee maker and I think I would rate the stay as absolutely perfect. No breakfast was offered but there is a little spot just downstairs if you need breakfast and a coffee.

Thanks for giving my group of 8 golfers a great stay in the Algarve. I am really making a point of writing reviews of these places now that we've returned because I am tired of the BS reviews put on here by people.

Meant to be traveling on the 6th of April for 1 week but now cancelled due to fire in the hotel bar. My booking.com were not able to do anything and communication was non existent other than the cancelled booking confirmation via email 3 weeks before we were due to depart. We had to search online to see why the hotel had been closed and found the report in a Portuguese paper online.Pretty dissapointed with no communication. Luckily we have organised alternative accomodation by ourselves.
