Detailed Reviews
I stayed here with my husband and two kids 14 and 19 for a week. We had booked last minute to have some relaxation after working all summer.
This place did not disappoint it was quite quiet which suited us and the apartment was a great size with two bedrooms and two toilets with showers. Cleaners came in several times over the week and made beds, gave us toilet roll and fresh towels which we appreciated. We did have a washing machine which I used during our stay. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking etc but we ate out mostly and we just had breakfast at the apartment. The light on our balcony wasn't working which was a shame but not an issue just something to note as we could have sat out there in the evening if we had some light.
The pool area is spotless and no issues getting beds in the morning. This was very quiet most of our trip which was lovely. Our apartment was number 2 so the pool was just in front of us. The pool area at night could do with some form of lighting again this is not a complaint just a suggestion as this would make it easier to walk through when arriving home later in the dark.
The bar at the pool was excellent and we ate here several times during our stay. The boys serving were so attentive and always had a smile which was lovely. Would highly recommend the food here and it's so cheap compared to everywhere else we ate. The Malibu sunrise is a must it was so refreshing in the sunshine.
The area where the villas are situated is great and we used Uber most of our trip apart from a taxi once which was more expensive than Uber which was 4 euro to the marina. There are lots of lovely bars and restaurants around the marina that we tried and enjoyed. We went to Don Alfonso twice during our stay for a steak which we would recommend and also went to Chinês Zu Yi twice during our stay which was lovely.
We would highly recommend Prado villas which we hoped to book again soon and villamoura as a holiday destination. We can't wait to return and are already looking to when we can book our next trip here.

+1
We arrived to a lovely warm welcome from the lady in reception who said our room was ready despite us being early and she showed us to our accomodation. The apartment was a good size and modern with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and an open plan lounge, kitchen /diner with a decent sofa bed. The accommodation was quite well equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, iron and ironing board and plenty of utensils. It would have been nice to have a bottle of water and some complimentary tea/coffee on arrival as we had to go out and get some straight away so anyone with a late flight would struggle. The cleaners came to the apartment roughly every 2-3 days to replace towels and wipe round at best. The beds were only changed once during a 14 day stay and not at all if you only stay a week. The patio was a bit disappointing as the furniture was worn and dirty and had not been swept or cleaned. The footpaths around the complex were difficult to walk on and pull cases on as they were not level and a strange design. There was no reserving of sunbeds so there was no difficulty getting one whilst we were there but there was a lack of parasols. Only 6 parasols to approx 50 loungers. The pool wasn't regularly cleaned either, at most places I've stayed they are cleaned daily but here we only saw thfm clean it 3 times in 2 weeks. The snack bar was closed on a Friday and is run by young people who seem to have no clue about cleaning up and wiping tables. I had to ask for a table to be cleaned before I could sit down. They did however have a decent menu and did nice cocktails. The property is a good 40 minutes walk to the marina but is in a lovely quiet residential area so is exceptionally peaceful at night. You can easily get an Uber to the marina for 4/5 euros. There is a small Spar and a handful of restaurants/bars approx 10 min walk away which is useful. We had a good holiday but wouldn't return to the accomodation as the cleanliness and upkeep let it down. Shame really because it could be really nice if the owners would invest a bit more into it.

Just had 2 weeks in a Prado villa , very spacious one twin with a bathroom and one double with en -suite, large lounge and a good patio . great pool area and warm enough to swim in .Isabel on reception was very helpful and Vera and the girls kept our villa very clean . Thanks to you all .
The location was next to a golf course but out from the marina could walk in taking about 35 mins ,or jump on the tourist train taking 10 mins , taxi back costing 5-7 euro .
Vilamoura Marina has many bars and restaurants and is very lively .
Had a great holiday be back soon . PS snack bar due to open 4days after we left .

This was a great quiet relaxing holiday. The Villa was very spacious and well equipped. Being there early March a little out off season the complex was quiet , quite cold in the evenings though .
Staff at the Villas are always busy keeping them clean and outside garden area is also well maintained. Swimming pool & jacuzzi not heated was too cold to use .The weather which we can’t control was nice to start with but broke in the middle of our 2 weeks but improved at the end .

First time to Portugal as we only wanted a reasonably short flight. We saw the pictures and booked Prado Villas
We booked through First Choice and the flight was a TUI one no problems at all in the UK but arrival at Faro was a bit different. You get notifications in the app on your transfer bus etc - which were wrong! Back to the airport find a rep and sorted and on our way
The Villa complex is around 40 mins from the airport and backs onto the old course. Very handy if you play. It’s also just down the road from The Hilton
On arrival we checked in at reception very helpful lady there - we paid an extra €12 for a safety deposit box key which we thought a good idea.
The complex has I believe 18 villas, a snack bar / cafe and bar - this is open 10am to 7pm. Last food is 6pm and it closes Friday. If you’re B and B as we had booked then the chap that runs it comes in does your breakfast and delivers it to you !
The villa itself is a good size. Two large bedroom with single beds pushed together and a sofa bed in the lounge. Two bathrooms one en-suite. All very clean on arrival.
Plenty of facilities and crockery pans etc in the kitchen including a dishwasher and a washing machine. No dirty clothes packed on this holiday
Outside you have a small patio area which could have done with a sweep and the plastic furniture a wipe over but all fine.
Air conditioning throughout if you need it and excellent free WiFi right around the complex.
As others have said the paths around are a bit rough and ready but nothing dangerous - some pathway lighting wasn’t working
Out and about - I recommend that you download and register on the Uber app - they are quick arriving within ten mins and reasonably priced.
The marina is a good walk - probably 35 mins or so but €5 gets you there!
For those that found nowhere to eat or drink around the villas - I used google maps and just searched near me. Sailors Corner is good as is the bar next to it. There is a stone steak house about 5 mins walk away
To push the boat out recommend highly a visit to La Ville French restaurant. Excellent food and service and reasonable too!
Did we enjoy Prado villas yes - we wanted to do nothing and chill - so we did. If you want loads of night life and endless bars then look elsewhere or Uber to the Marina.
Must have enjoyed as we have booked again !

We recently spent a week at Prado Villas and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Yes, there are a few minor issues with its exterior look but it certainly doesn't spoil your holiday!!
Staff at reception were extremely helpful with any request and even organised the hiring of bicycles for the week, which were delivered and collected from the site.
The pool bar/cafe served a good variety of lunchtime food, drinks and ice-creams, staff were courteous and always had a smile! The pool area was always clean and tidy and we really enjoyed spending time there.
There is a mini market and a handful of restaurants within a 5-10 min walk, would highly recommend Rio Stone Steakhouse.
Would definitely recommend staying here and we hope to visit again soon.

We spent a week at Prado Villas. The interior was modern and clean. My only criticism would be that it is not very well equipped for children. Something small but would have made a huge difference is having some plastic cups and plates/ bowls. My 2 year old with glasses and ceramic bowls / plates was not a good idea!
The pool bar was nice enough but again they did not cater for children.
The outsides of the villas could really do with a lick of paint. It would make a huge difference. Also, a few lights around the paths would make it a lot easier to walk round at night.
My sons both loved the pool and I struggled to get them out of it! The baby pool did get a bit dirty towards the end of our stay though.
Overall though we were really happy and would definitely return.

I have not done self catering for sometime and usually have stayed with the kids on 4*all inclusive but wanted a last blast with my adult kids before uni so booked here quite last min not knowing what to expect.
We arrived quite early 12.15 pm and was welcomed by a lovely lady who advised on nearest supermarket and the use of Ubers. Our accommodation wasn’t quite ready so we went in their cafe bar overlooking pool had a lovely lunch served by twin boys who were very polite and helpful. Villa was available by 1 and lovely clean and roomy, with every facility you would need. The security was great too with the electric outside shutters, kept the villa safe and cool. I slept the best I ever have on holiday as no noise at night, lovely and peaceful in a affluent area. Good walk 45 mins to marina but keeps your steps in and used Ubers for home journeys.
Great hols thank you very much.

These villas are in a lovely location and so quiet, you can hear birds singing and the occasional smack of a golf ball but no traffic noise.
The villas are spacious and well equipped, there is a pool bar which is open until approx 7pm, we ate there three times and the food was nice and very reasonably priced also the staff are very welcoming and friendly.
Some reviews have criticised the grounds for not being well maintained and this is partly true. The paths are uneven and the gardens could be kept neater.
All in all though, these are very nice villas and it didn’t put us off giving it a good review, Prado villas are in a residential area of Vilamoura and although they are a half hour walk from the marina, it is a pleasant stroll and if you prefer not to walk you can order an Uber which takes five minutes to the marina and is less than five euros.
There are a few restaurants close by, we only tried Graces restaurant though which was excellent but we only discovered it on our last night. We will definitely go there next time we are Vilamoura.
There are also plenty of eating options at the marina to suit all budgets.
