Hi Chantal, no they don`t lock the kitchen door at Rio Apartments, and the kitchen in the apartment is fully stocked with crockery, cutlery etc. There is a microwave, fridge, oven, toaster etc. As the name suggests they are all aprtments and NOT villas, and some are bigger than others but it gives you option to select when you book. I have stayed there twice over the last 4 months and have found the facilities to be very adequate, but as a single bloke I eat out and don`t cook but the facilities are there if you want to. The marina area is about a ten minute walk down the hill and through the tennis academy which may put some people off, however I found the walk a pleasure.
