My husband and I stayed at Pinhal da Marina for 2 weeks. It was very peaceful and the setting is s very pretty among pine trees and landscaped gardens. The staff were very friendly, professional and welcoming, especially Dora who greeted us on arrival, Carmen and the gentleman at the restaurant. We self-catered and the accommodation was well-equipped. We had upgraded upon booking to a 1 bedroomed apartment, but the studios looked good too. The hospitality staff kept the apartment very clean, each day except Sunday and provided clean towels and teatowels daily as needed. The staff were helpful and we booked bikes at reception from Bikeland, the aluminium bike I hired was great and fitted me well. We visited the marina, which is 15 minutes walk downhill and we cycled to Faro and the Rio Formosa Natural Park and Albufeira, Olhos d'Agua. The area was great for cycling! We also had a late flight on a Sunday evening and were able to stay in our apartment until departure. Thank you everyone at Pinhal da Marina!…
We had a 1 bedroom studio with pool view and a lovely view it was too. The studio was massive, well equipped, spotlessly maintained with little extras that other places don't usually supply ( washing up liquid, shower gel, dish cloth, T towel). The wall mounted hair drier broke, I reported it, went to the shops and it was fixed before I even got back. No deposit asked for for safe and we didn't need air- con in October. The pool man was cleaning and testing them every day. No problem with sunbeds and even two on each balcony. There was a large bottle of water on arrival, we used ready mix coffee / milk sachets to make a brew, large mugs supplied in studio. There are no local shops, so you may need to take a snack if arriving late. Uber to supermarket was around 2.5 Euros big Lidl about 5 euros each way. Walk to marina was do able, however being less able, we chose the Uber again about 2.5 - 3 euros a trip. Staff could not have been more helpful, they printed off our passenger locator forms for us too. Glad we stayed here rather than in town center, Quiet residential area.…
A good location not far from the marina. The apartment was very clean but a bit dated, ie the bathrooms, but the kitchen was a lot newer. As we checked in late, we let them know and was greeted at reception with no issues. Free parking and the staff were very friendly.
We spent two weeks at Pinhal da Marina, Vilamoura. The resort has a tranquil setting with beautiful gardens, two swimming pools and a restaurant. The staff are charming and very helpful; especially Francisco and colleagues in the restaurant, where we eat every day. The menu was good and had additional dishes of the day. Our apartment was extensive and was very well equipped for self catering. The location on the ground floor overlooking the pool was ideal. Overall the hotel was well maintained and very clean. The location was a 20 minute walk to the nearest beach and the marina, where there are many restaurants. This resort is ideal for families and people who like a peaceful holiday in a tranquil residential area on the slopes behind the marina and beaches.
No way is this 4 star! The apartment we were put into block 22 was musty and damp smelling, very old, dirty and dark! All of our clothes upon opening our suitcase stink of the musty smell from the room, no cleaning everyday or clean towels only every 2 days, restaurant had a silly system had to book tables to eat only snacks after 3 which didn’t include anything like chips etc. For the children, the sangria from the restaurant was the best we had in Portugal though and the reception staff are very lovely, unfortunately that’s the only good points. We wouldn’t come back here again
