Detailed Reviews
Having stayed at Parque Mourabel again for 2 weeks in August my husband and myself felt that all the staff and management were doing a great job during Covid 19 and could not fault their efforts to keep everyone safe.
Sanitizer everywhere, next to the lifts, in reception, on entry to the bar and restaurant and on every table, social distancing was easy as 50% of the tables in the bar and restaurant had been removed or rearranged suitably. One way system in reception and bar area and even to the pool where a new gate had been installed so you didn't have to pass anyone. Cash machines for cash payments had also been installed in the bar and restaurant. The staff were amazing, as soon as someone left their table etc the area was sanitized and fresh ready for the next person, this was also happening on the rattan furniture by the pool. The pool was monitored by numbers so there was never over crowding. Masks are to be worn in all communal areas aswell as bar etc until you sit down to eat or drink. Very impressed by all the amazing efforts by everyone and felt completely safe, much safer than in the UK. I just wish Portugal had got the air bridge weeks ago as Covid has affected so many businesses and they are working so hard to greet us and protect us. Thank you xx

We stayed at this hotel in Portugal during the first week of March 2020 just before the lock-down started. The hotel is located about 1.5 miles to the marina in a peaceful location, there is small reasonably priced shop within about 200 metres. We stayed in a superior one bed apartment (room 77 on the fourth floor). We were checked in quickly and efficiently by Fiona who was very pleasant and welcoming. The apartment was spacious, consisting of bedroom, entrance / living & dining area, small kitchenette and south west facing balcony. Facilities included shower/bath, hob, microwave, oven, kettle, toaster, fridge/freezer, utensils etc, TV, sofa bed, table and chairs. Room was well looked after and cleaned 6 days a week. Wardrobe door was quite stiff to open and close in bedroom. Communal areas were pleasant and always clean and tidy. We did not use the pool area or restaurant so cannot comment on these. There is a courtesy bus that runs 3 times day to the marina, but again we did not use, preferring to walk.
We really enjoyed our holiday staying at this hotel and would definitely stay here again. The location is not ideal if you want easy access (without transport) to the marina, but the setting was very pleasant, peaceful, close to a number of golf resorts and good for those who like to walk. For those who like to walk a little further, there are some very nice areas to explore, particularly the coastline to the west of Vilamoura which is stunning.

Just returned from a 10 day holiday with Jet2. We booked a Superior Apartment which overlooked the pool area, we found it to be very well equipped with everything we needed it was also very clean and well stocked with plenty of bed linen and towels due to the apartments not being cleaned due to Covid restrictions. The only criticisms I would make is I thought the sofas in the apartment to be very dated especially as the Superior ones were supposed to be high spec also there was a distinct lack of British TV channels, and because the bar area in the hotel closed at 10pm due to the restrictions,it would have been nice to have had more variety to watch. We used both hotel pool areas which we found to be very nice and never overcrowded, of course the only problem was there were no sunloungers allowed also because of restrictions which made sunbathing around the pool on the grass areas to be very uncomfortable for any length of time, I spoke to a very nice man in reception and asked if we could be provided with two sunloungers on our balcony, and they were delivered almost immediately, which I was very grateful for. We ate in the restaurant on our last night, we found the food to be exceptional and the staff very efficient, the bar area lacked atmosphere probably due to early closure at 10pm, so most nights a short walk down the road would find you a couple of bars and restaurants which stayed open longer, we found Parkys Bar to be particularly good. In conclusion, we had a lovely holiday in a very nice hotel to which we are returning for a longer stay of a month in February which we are looking forward too, hopefully because it is the winter months, more TV channels will be made available?

Dear Susan, We would like to thank you for your positive remarks during your stay with us at Parque Mourabel, Oásis Village & Pé do Lago. We are delighted with your comments as they are indispensable to help us maintain and/or improve the Resort for you and future guests. It is very true that we have a shortage of english channels and will try to improve on this matter! As for the sofas, maybe the "less" comfort refered is due to it being very long as they are beds as well. We are very excited for your next visit! We love this hotel/apartment complex. Excellent value for money. Genuinely friendly staff always willing to help. Happy hour at the bar brings everyone together. The restaurant food was always tasty with a menu to suit all budgets from half board to al-la-carte. 15 minute walk to Vilamoura Marina along the manicured parkway in the centre of the road or if you prefer there is always the free shuttle bus from the hotel to the Marina 3 times a day. The local supermarket minutes away from the complex has everything you need at reasonable prices try their fresh baked rolls!

First and foremost we began our holiday in the Oasis Village in good spirits since at the start we were upgraded to an accomodation with airconditioning. This was appreciated since this would have been additional payment.
Now, this is where it goes a bit down hill. In our second night, the shower door fell while my daughter was trying to open it so the 'glass' door broke and caused her to have punctures in her feet. At first we were quite shocked and traumatized because of what happened since there was quite a lot of blood.
After the accident we went to reception to get help but since this was the evening somehow only one person was in the reception to help. He came maybe after 10-15 minutes after the accident.
When the receptionist arrived we asked for a first aid kit but there was none in the room. He then went out and got the kit from outside. The kit however had expired medical supplies (some expired 2020) and there was no antiseptic to clean the wound. Good thing I bought some for the trip.
After we cleaned my daughter's feet it was a good thing she had minor punctures so she stopped crying and was calmer. A cleaner came to clean the broken glasses and did what she could given the time and circumstances. We could not change rooms as the hotel was fully booked.
That was a traumatic experience but what is the saddest part about the incident is the lack of concern from the hotel manager. So in the next morning, we were expecting him to reach out but he did not. We had to go to the reception to talk to him about our health and safety concerns. He was never apologetic and did not ask sorry about what happened. He said the glass was broken probably because of temperature differences. However I showed him that the railings on the glass shower door was already broken which caused the shower door to slide off and eventually break. This should have been properly inspected and fixed before guests can stayed. The concern I mentioned is around this and imagine if there were smaller kids staying in the hotel. My daughter is still only 10 years old and she did not just yank this door so it broke. This was really an unsafe shower door.
The overall trip was still good for us but this experience was really disappointing.
This could have been a major incident but I think since it turned out to be a minor incident the hotel did not pay attention to it that much.
I suggest this hotel check all their rooms for repairs otherwise this could lead to severe accidents next time.

Arrived around 12.30 pm following a long flight and early morning start for travel, advised unable to check in until 4pm but could store our luggage until then. Fair enough but booking agent should have made us aware of this as I would have timed flights better, as felt as if time was wasted getting into the room etc. We were upgraded to one of the new apartments which was a nice gesture. It was clean although toilet brush had seen better days should have been replaced with new. Air conditioning kitchen, everything there for self catering. Lifts to all floors but stairs easy enough.
Hotel bar seemed to have all good spirits and local the bombay sapphire gin and a nice tonic was 3 euros, was made nice and served in a nice glass. I found some staff to be not so friendly, but that was fine.
Paid for bed and breakfast all clean and nice selection for what we paid, continental, scrambled eggs, bacon, beans and sausages, coffee was of a high standard and good choice available.
Had dinner once a club sandwich wasn't great but my friend had a pizza and she said was one of the best cooked pizzas she has ever had. Cheap enough to eat there if you wanted.
Plenty of sun loungers pool open from 10am all nice and clean,.good size pool.
Marina , is around 8 mins in a taxi and cost 5 euro well worth it as amazingly beautiful place to see, eating and drinking not over expensive so much choice to be had from curry's, Mexican, Portuguese, English etc.
Highly recommend the Mayflower restraunt there is indoor and outdoor, food amazing including the waitress service, I had monkfish wrapped in bacon,.served with a small type of sweet mash potato and two mohitos 35.00 euro, the monkfish was beautifully cooked and the view was amazing overlooking the marina.
Posh cocktail and champagne bars, average cocktails around 10 euro, but lot of Irish bars with good selection of beers.
Some nice shops Gant, Bennetton, Boss to little boutiques tobacco shops also selling alcohol.
I would stay again, for my budget as it had everything I needed.

I normally use hotels, but if all apartments are as good as this I would change.
I booked a superior 1 bedroom apartment. This was very well equipped with a full size fridge/freezer and oven with four rings. There was also a microwave, toaster and kettle. There was loads of crockery, cutlery, pots/pans and glassware.
There was loads of wardrobe space & more hangers than I have at home.
The bedroom had twin beds & the bathroom was fine (shower only). The living area was comfortable with a huge balcony overlooking the pool.
I had breakfast included which was only 6 euros a day & was great value. It is all buffet including some hot food. Coffee is from a machine and there is a toaster. I had one lunch in the restaurant, and there seems to be a good menu for lunch and dinner with reasonable prices for food and drink. There is entertainment some evenings, but I didn't attend so can't comment.
There is a decent size pool with sun loungers around. Reception is open 24 hours and there are a few seats and a good selection of books and magazines.
The place is very clean & all staff members are professional, friendly & efficient (speaking excellent English).
The supermarket in the complex opposite is small but remarkably well stocked & reasonably priced. The Spar appeared to be closed for the winter.
It is about a steady 30 minute (pretty flat) walk to the marina (slightly longer if you go by the beach). The free shuttle bus runs 3 times a day & is handy if you don't fancy the walk. The little tourist trains are time-tabled to run regularly from the apartments, but they were not reliable (maybe that improves in high season). So it is a little out of the way, but that also means it's quiet and the walk to the town is safe and pleasant.
My only slight niggle would be the TV reception. There was no signal on about half of the channels throughout my visit. I appreciate you don't come on holiday to watch TV, but when you travel alone it's all you have for company. I would return in a heartbeat

Very enjoyable stay. The reviews by other travelers are very accurate. Staff excellent and helpful. Cleaners each day (bar Sun) changing towels and bed clothes.Restaurant very good menu good range chef v.g. and service good. Entertainment was excellent 2 live acts and Kareoke night very good standard. Shuttles to Vilamoura centre 3 times a day and returning at 4 is a good feature. Shuttle is also available for airport or golf transfer .Long term winter clients have the effect of always being able to be friendly in the meeting areas i.e. restaurant bar and reception. Major sports on the TV in the bar .Wifi in Hotel reception and Oasis apartment. Downside apartments are dated sockets are few for charging phones lacking a few mugs for the cuppa. A comfortable chair to relax on. and a better mattress. The distance from Vilamoura Centre is just a little too far for walking regularly and taxis are not as cheap as before..These are very minor comments against the overall value and I would definitely go to the Parque Mourabel again.

We first visited June 2019 and couldn’t believe our luck for how cheap it was and the very high standard. Staff were fantastic with the kids as well as the adults. We booked again for sept 2019, when we arrived we had booked the wrong room (should have booked superior) staff moved us free of charge the next morning. We had booked to go back June 2020 however this isn’t possible with current pandemic. Hoping we can return in Sept. The walk to and from the marina is beautiful and helps the kids burn energy before dinner. The hotel provides buses throughout the day to the beach which is fantastic! Look forward to returning soon!

We had a 3 night stay at this location. The sun shone and there were quite a lot of places closed due to the time of the year but enough open to keep us entertained.
The hotel staff were very welcoming and helpful, the restaurant food & breakfast was very good as was the bar, enough choice and not to expensive. The location is good with the hotel offering a shuttle bus service into town etc for an agreed fee.
The apartment we stayed in was excellent, clean & tidy with a tv, microwave, fridge freezer and much much more. Nice balcony with a table set on it overlooking the pool. There is also a lift on each end of the building. The location has a few shops & bars very close to it and the main shops bars & restaurants are about a 20 min flat walk.
Defo a must to try again.

The 2 bedroom apartments are in Oásis Village wing. At Parque Mourabel we have 2, but without balcony and have 2 categories, the standard and the superior, which aparte of being refurbished units, have air conditioning.
