Nestled near the beach and marina, Dom Pedro Marina hotel is lauded for its welcoming atmosphere and prime location, with many guests finding the varied breakfast options a delightful start to their day. While the hotel's cleanliness receives high marks, with spotless rooms and well-maintained common areas, opinions on value and room amenities are mixed, with some travelers noting the absence of room service and the need for decor updates.
Nevertheless, the friendly and attentive staff contribute to the hotel's reputation for providing a comfortable and relaxing stay.

Detailed Reviews
We are currently on our last few days of holiday staying at the Dom Pedro Marino hotel .
The hotel is clean , and has a nice feel with very helpful and welcoming staff .
Rooms are cleaned everyday with fresh towel replenished, recommend a marina view room as they were spectacular with sunsets every evening 😀
Breakfast was a bit chaotic, with the Covid restrictions with the staff having to serve you at the buffet but that couldn’t be helped and had 3 time slots .
All together a good value hotel that suited our needs for a lovely stay in Vilamoura.

We returned today from a great 5 day break . The place is spotless and masks are enforced at all times except when eating or poolside. Sanitiser is available everywhere.
The breakfast was good and to avoid cross contamination one person is dedicated to serve you everything , be prepared to queue for your sitting (3 sittings)
Pool is excellent and beds are sanitised . Free towels .Room service was also very good. This hotel is close to everything so you can manage with no car. Taxi to airport €37 in cash !! There are some who accept credit card , one of the very officiant staff did find one for us but yet unfortunately on our last day we were adamantly told by a member of staff that the hotel only uses one taxi company who only accept cash ?!! 😡
6th floor with sea view had a decent view over looking the casino .

We have stayed in Vilamoura on many occasions, but never before at the Dom Pedro Marina. But owing to the lack of availability in our usual hotels, we thought we would give this hotel a go due to its central location. We were a booking of 4 rooms with 4 adults / 4 teens and booked through Jet2holidays.
Although the rooms are basic, they are spacious and very clean. The beds are comfortable and the pillows are amazing. Housekeeping serviced our room daily and we were never short of anything that we needed. The aircon was definitely needed during our stay and had no frowsy smell like some places we have stayed in.
I was concerned about the relatively small pool area compared to what we have been used to, but I must say that we never struggled to get sun beds and we loved that the loungers had the moveable extra bit to protect your upper body from the sun.
Breakfast was like most local hotels: lots of fruit, cheese, meats, croissants and cooked food. The pizzas here are amazing, you will not be disappointed. The bar prices are very reasonable and the red wine sangria was very tasty.
All members of staff we interacted with were courteous and professional.
Definitely a very good cheaper option for Vilamoura.

Having read the positive views, I was hoping for an enjoyable weekend break.
While the room was spacious, the floor was very dirty - my feet were black after walking around the room
The lobby area is partially clean, and while they had hand sanitisers the glass entry / exit doors to the pool which people to pull open were dirty - raised this concern with the hotel, but they failed to do anything.
The breakfast was totally disorganised, and it was impossible to social distance. The most disgusting thing was staff cleaning the tables with the same cloth, were serving breakfast without washing their hands.
If you want to use the pool, forget it - no space whatsoever. During these times hotels need to restrict access a little so guests can use the pool (socially distanced).
In my view, travellers need to see hotels step up cleaning and hygiene .
/ protocols to give consumers that it’s safe to travel. The management need to address Covid cleaning as an urgent priority.
Also.... significantly overpriced for the quality. I’d rate this as a 3 star hotel!

Just returned from a lovely week in Viallmora staying a Dom Pedro Marina. A great base for this holiday as location is round corner from marina and steps away from beach. (Although beach was so busy with local tourists we didn't spend a lot of time apart from a walk along the front and walking into next town Quiteria)
The hotel is spotlessly clean with lovely friendly and professional staff nothing a problem to them. All covid restrictions in place so felt very safe. It was a pleasure to wake up at any time a get a sunbed in lots of space. The sun loungers are superb they have a cover for your face to be in shade. Breakfast was nice something for everyone just same everyday. All help yourself but masks worn by all and gloves around if you wanted to wear them along with lots of hand sanitisers. Hotel rooms are comfortable lovely beds. Balcony was small and although we paid extra for sea view this wasn't the best and probably wouldn't have bothered. No kettle in room but there was an espresso machine if you like coffee.

Family holiday with 2 adult 'children'. Vilamoura/Quateira is well known to us, so ideal for a 6 day stay with our two sons, on dad of course :-).
Last time we visited this area we stayed at the Crown Plaza, which was terrific but is now pricey. Dom Pedro Marina was clean, decent value and the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Breakfast, not exceptional but good as were the pizzas and pastas we tried one evening. Bar prices were very reasonable.
Rooms were fine, beds were comfortable, well cleaned and looks like a recent refurb has happened with amtico type flooring ,tremendous showers, nespresso machines and a mini bar/fridge that was actually cold! The 2nd floor room view was pretty rubbish, but I cant recall what i booked so now real gripe.
Sun loungers were of course usually bagged for the day by selfish british punters, nothing new there.
All in all an enjoyable stay at a chilled, quiet hotel, with a mostly older clientele.
I do have one small gripe - the room safes require a £20 deposit to enable use. IOn departure day I forgot to take the 'dongles' back to reception as once inserted in the safe you really wont think about them again ,so this cost me an unnecessary £40. Could the check out process not have included a reminder?

We stayed 6 nights the hotel due to virus was quiet which made it very nice for us, they gave us a room looking over Marina so view was excellent. The breakfast was arranged in 3 sittings due to cleaning tables but no problem what ever sitting we asked, only complaint the buffet which you picked and staff served the eggs bacon etc were cold, I mentioned it but fell on deaf ears.
Nice pool area plenty of space thru social distancing. Rooms adequate but not luxury but compared to other hotels close by good value

Positives: spacious and spotless twin room, lots of wardrobe/storage space, pleasant and helpful staff, location is within 2 mins walk from the Marina with all its bars, restaurants and shops. There is a local bus stop just across the road from the hotel. The pool and bar area are very nice and there is a very wide choice for breakfast.
Negatives: There is a place very close by called Purobeach, which has loud music thumping out every afternoon. The hotel charge 2.25 euros per day to use the room safe. Although there is tea/coffee in the room, any that needs to be replenished is charged for. It would be so much better if everything was simply included in the initial price of the room.

We stayed at The Dom Pedro Marina for 9 nights at the beginning of April 2022. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. We stayed on bed and breakfast basis and this was served until 10am every day, there was always plenty of choice and was always replenished. All the staff we encountered from reception, restaurant, bar and housekeeping were all very pleasant, friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them.
The room was cleaned everyday and towels changed daily.
The pool area is well maintained with plenty of sun loungers and they will bring more out if required. We did not use the indoor spa area but again this looked well maintained and clean.
Pool towels are provided free of charge should you wish, collected from reception.
The hotel is ideally located for the beach and the marina and there are lots of nice restaurants to choose from, one tip is walk a little further than the marina and there is a host of traditional portugese and other restaurants.
It was my birthday whilst we were there and on returning to our room late afternoon, there was a bottle of fizz and cake waiting for me - courtesy of the hotel, this was a lovely gesture and very welcomed.

Just arrived back from the hotel,
Positives : Room 226, Good sized rooms, comfortable bed, great shower. shower room and small Balcony ok, WiFi great by pool and restaurant, free safe.
Great Breakfast.
Good views to beach and marina.
Reception staff very informative, recommended some local bars and restaurants. Hotel clean, rooms, restaurant, lounge etc.
location ideal for the marina, beach and 20 mins walk to Quarteria,
Thanks to Henri who stops for a chat, keeps the pool area clear of litter, and reorganises the beds on the evening.
Cons: Pool area not the best, in need of a good sweep, particularly along the grass edges.
Not enough sun beds, no mattresses, and only 10 shades along the grass edges. Head shades on sun beds good ideal.
Very Very low key entertainment, nothing on the evenings.
Bit of road noise from the road circling the pool area.
Poor WiFi and TV channels,
Recommend the Fisherman’s shack, and Refaels nearby restaurants, Caravela and Rose Branca in Quarteria.
Parrilla Natural few miles from Quarteria
Overall we enjoyed the hotel and location.
