Spent three nights here and loved it. The room was on its own with the doors opening up over the lawn with a little patio. The room itself was well appointed with a very comfortable bed and a tub large enough for two. The restaurant was wonderful; had breakfast, dinner, and apertivo there during our stay. Great selection of wines...

Stayed here for one night in spring for a conference. Room was up a narrow, steep flight of stairs, an upper level suite with living room, kitchenette and terrace. It was large and comfortable, but not very well presented -- pictures, one of which was obstructed by a TV, were placed haphazardly on the walls. Food at the on-site restaurant...

My family, which consists of myself, my husband & children 18 & 17 had a family room for 2 nights, which was very nice, although not ideal for our grown children as they had to sleep on a sofa bed together & there was only one bathroom between the 4 of us. This was possibly my mistake as I didn't...

After much hectic travel through several countries, we arrived by car to this island of serenity. The Borgo San Luigi is a haven far from the crowds and noise of the Italian cities, yet it is placed centrally for day trips to the best of the hill towns and other sights of Tuscany. We visited Montalcino, San Gimigiano, Pienza, Florence,...

We were on a group tour of Italy and a two night stay was at Borgo San Luigi, with the weather being cool at night it was perfect to get a little dressed up to enjoy the fantastic dining room with great staff and lots of food. A short walk through the gardens to our villa with it's colonial beams,...

We booked the hotel 4 months ago, The hotel was empty, all room categories were available. This afternoon when we arrived, the hotel manager said that he "made a mistake" and changed our check in dates (even though we were with the vouchers with the correct dates in hands), and we had to find other hotel because tomorrow they will...

Dear Celina, we tryed to do our best to give yours and our clients the best solution because, really, we made a mistake with our reservation-system. We offered the suite accomodation and the dinners for free in our hotel, but you refused our compensation. I hope to have the possibility to have again your guests here by us, to demonstrate...

The hotel is in a great setting and the room was clean and very attractive. The dining room was very clean and food at the buffet was excellent. The drinks were also good and varied but there was too much pressure on staff to sell them. As a customer one is approached too often and more than once expensive drinks...

We were lucky to stay at the Borgo San Luigi for 3 days in late September. We had an upper level room accessed by a narrow set of steps and it felt like I was going back in time! While the hotel is a repurposed village, the room was luxurious and well appointed. We had a large private terrace as...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Borgo San Luigi Relais offers 73 rooms, most with private terrace or garden, allowing a pleasant stay in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, near Sienna. The five buildings making up the original seventeenth-century structure, in the midst of the 60.000 square metre park that surrounds the hotel, have been restructured respecting their original architecture. Due to its remarkable location, between Sienna and Florence, the hotel is a perfect starting point to visit a territory celebrated all over the world for its incomparable natural and artistic heritage, not to mention its food and wine.Borgo San Luigi Relais offers a choice of rooms, including Suites, Junior Suites, Deluxe and Classic Rooms, found in the different buildings within the park. The entire complex follows a rationale that encourages outdoor living, and most rooms therefore have a private balcony, terrace or garden. Guests may thus experience moments of total relaxation and peace in the open air, while enjoying total privacy.!!!!The architecture of the hotel rooms has been preserved in the original structures, with furnishings remindful of ancient country houses of the nobility. Every detail has been carefully considered, period furnishings and textiles have been chosen and matched with flooring in traditional red Tuscan tiles. ... more   less
