Travellers' Choice 2018 Winner
Certificate of Excellence
Thakur Ajeet Singh ji and family would like to extend the hospitality of their ancestral palace, Chanoud Garh, to the aesthete traveller in you. Chanoud Garh, a land filled with tales of valour and chapters of history. This three-hundred-year-old palace sprawls over 2,00,000 sq. ft. deep into the grandeur of yore. It's been carefully preserved to transport you back to the era of the gallant rulers. Chanoud Garh offers 7 meticulously renovated spacious deluxe suites. No two suites are alike; each furnished aesthetically keeping the feel and the sensibility of the area and local tradition. Chanoud Garh offers the most modern of amenities, it does so rather discreetly. What it does offer quite lavishly is a rich and authentic experience of Rajasthani royal hospitality. Welcome to Chanoud Garh, a reason in itself for one to make a trip to the princely state of Rajasthan.

Absolutely wonderful hospitality, superb dining and a beautifully restored ancestral home.
The rooftop candlelit fine dining was run close by the rooftop sunset drinks, but without doubt the highlight was the morning village walk to meet the friendly villagers and give out photos

When your host Jairaj Singh welcomes you to his Haveli it is like being greeted as a guest to his home. The Haveli is in a small and quite remote village and has just 10 guest rooms. The Haveli has been in the family for generations but was only recently converted to accept payin

How long does it take to get here from Jodhpur?
It took about 3 hours with a small incorrect turn by the drive. Once you get off the highway the road is a bit "rural" so the time it takes to get there can depend on your comfort level. Either way, it is well worth the trip. If possible, take the village tour. It was still a major highlight of our trip. Good luck.
