This is perfectly managed resort with 12 rooms in front of Jawai dam view. This resort completely in middle of green area and rocks. Everything is good but rates are too high. Good for family stay and relaxing.
We visited this place after recommendations from a friend and we fell in love with the place from the moment we set foot inside the property. The place has so much to offer, it has something for everyone. I would recommend this place to anyone who visits jawai. Without doubt this place has the best location amongst all other hotels in the near by areas, it is set up besides the mountain and not too far from the lake. Pros 1. A very good location 2. Staff hospitality - they go above and beyond to make your stay pleasant. 3. The food - given the location (middle of wilderness), you would expect the food to be average. To the contrary, the food was quite delicious and we enjoyed all our meals. 4. The rooms are nicely done and all rooms provide a viewn of the lake and the mountains. 5. You can take a hike to the adjoining mountain and learn more about leopards and the lake. 6. You can cycle around and visit the lake 7. Swimming pool - was not operational though due to COVID-19. 8. Evening bon fire's giving you the perfect view of the serene surroundings 9. The safaris....the guys are very knowledgeable and will make sure you spot a leopard before the safari ends. I can go on and on..... Cons Well the location is a little off beat and google map doesn't always take you to the right location, the staff can escort you to the location from the nearest village but the network is a bit poor sometimes. Well this can always be planned and managed given all the pros above. In the end i would say visit jawai not just for the leopard but for the variety of bird species it has to offer, for the off-roading gypsy experience which i bet is no less than a roller Coaster and for the Rajasthani food and the welcoming nature of the people around. Would surely visit again!…
We visited this place for our tenth anniversary and boy it lived up to all our expectations and more. The leopard safari and spotting was just the tip. The staff were courteous and always going the extra mile. Do include the hike to the nearby hill and cycling to the edge of the reserve in your to dos while you are staying. The food (although limited choice) was amazing and they pretty much take care of every request that you may have (A yoga mat was provided when we asked them). The setting of the proportions was serene and in the end even 3 nights felt less! You won’t be disappointed at all.. But yeah try going there without the kids if you can.. if u are doing a longish stay
February 2020 Mother (80) & daughter trip in Rajasthan A year ago this was another tranquil place we visited. It hadn't been on our list until I mentioned seeing leopards for first time in 2019. We had the place to ourselves for a while and we were looked after sooooo well by Vishveshwar and his team. Everything was kept simple but managed exquisitely. I appreciated seeing that there was a vegetable & fruit patch to be able to source locally and was lovely meeting the chef there choosing what to put in the meals for later! We told Vishveshwar that the leopards and animals would have to appear in the evenings only as we were hopeless in mornings. The first night we ate outdoors next to an open fire. I'm not quite sure how he managed it but somehow cajoled us into waking up in the mornings and the scenery and sounds were dreamy enough but having a picnic laid out on the car bonnet was just sublime whilst watching the birds flying over to roost for the night or the fishermen. We saw one young leopard and Vishveshwar shared what he knew about him. The piece de resistance was seeing another leopard at dusk which surprised us all - the silhouette was stunning! Not having a great camera meant I didn't get the best of photos and Vishveshwar was kind enough to give me some that he'd done another day with a quality camera. Unexpectedly saw flamingos on the last morning too. I think Mum really loved being in the open top jeep and being driven up and down hillsides - I kept looking at her and she was grinning lots! The place and the pool were spotless! You could tell the whole team really wanted to have it always looking at its' best! Dhanyawad!…
We visited this resort in January 2021. though approach is bit messy, Location is excellent. Staff is very Courteous. Food is delicious. you can spot Leopard right from your resort.
