An ancient land, dominated by craggy granite boulders where the boundaries of the three kingdoms of Marwar, Mewar and Sirohi once converged. Here the Jawai river and lake formed by the resorvior is the heart and soul of this arid region, providing sustenance to mankind and wildlife. Nestled at the base of a sheer granite outcrop called Nag Giri or Cobra mountain is Jawai Sagar. These outcrops are also the abode of the resplendent Indian leopard. The northern edge of the resort is lapped by the waters of the Jawai lake where the Indian Mugger crocodile might be seen basking in the sun while flocks of flamingos and pelicans lazily circle the waters. At night the stars shine in the clear skies and the waters of the lake shimmer in the moonlight. The silent night only broken by the call of the great horned owl as he alerts the animals of the prowling Leopard.

Good location but as the road to it is filled with back waters from dam reservoir one has to reach by boat which is cumbersome & one feels marooned in that place.Not worth the tariff.Food is spicy & okay.The safari ride from the hotel is costly & leopard sighting is rare.Suggest stay near bera as the hills there are small & sighting is more easy & nearer.

We received a call from the property manager Mr Jaswant on the day of our arrival enquiring about our time of arrival. When we reached the village in which the resort is located, we were informed by the villagers that the road to the resort is flooded, and we can’t go there in our Innova. But Mr Jaswant had already sent two of his staff to take us to the resort. We were informed that we have to take a boat to reach the resort. My wife got panicked as to where is this located for which we have to take a boat ride. But it was a nice short boat ride. The water was not more than four feet deep. We were welcomed by Mr Vikas Chauhan, General Manager himself and he took personal interest to make our stay memorable ( he does it for all the guests!!) Every time you have to go anywhere, they will take you in the boat. And we must say that we thoroughly enjoyed the boat ride. They made arrangement for our driver to stay in the village. But this boat ride experience is available only during monsoon season when they store water in Jawai reservoir. After November the water is released for irrigation and the road becomes operational, so you won’t be able to enjoy the boat ride. It’s like paradise - beautiful, calm, clean property with fresh air free of any pollution overlooking the Jawai Dam. You will hear only chirping of birds during the daytime and chirping sound of crickets during night. The view from our room was superb with granite rocks on one side and water in front beyond which are more granite rocks. You get to see superb sunset from the balcony. Choose Paradise View room which is on first floor. It justifies its name. The rooms are big and nice with a large balcony. The entire team of the property is super gentle, humble and caring. They take good care of the guests. They prepared local delicacies for us, and the food was super tasty. This being a small property one gets personalised service. On our request they provided us millet rotis also. We are just back from there and we have already started planning for our next visit. …

Good Location. Nice rooms and good view from room. Courteous and helpful staff. They arranged Leopard Safari at short notice. The approach road was submerged in water and car could not go. We had to go in boat (also arranged by hotel). However, we were not told of this before while booking (MakeMyTrip). Had we known we would have booked one day less. In spite of having two-day booking, we left after one day. The Safari in unique. Not for the leopards, but for the rock climbing by the jeep at 60-degree gradients without any roads. A bit scary and senior citizen need to be careful (back problems). Food was disappointing. Buffet. They did ask our choice. Too spicy. Overall, a good place for one day (Unless you want to do safari more than once)

If I have chance I will rate hotel is 0*. We made booking by calling there booking office in Delhi. I would like to inform people as ANKIT KHARIA from there reservation office is biggest lier and cheater, one should not trust him for any booking or information. We spoke to ANKIT KHARIA with his mobile number 81300 93922, we made booking one hour before arrival to hotel where he told us hotel is pack and only one room is available, when we arrive at hotel ot was totally empty and we were the only couple in hotel. We are couple leaving in Dubai, and on our holidays in Rajasthan. We were in Jodhpur at Taj Hari Mahal just before arrive here, where we had great vacation, as soon as we arrived this hotel we forgot about all good times we had in Taj Jodhpur. If you want to have good holidays and safety of your lived one never ever go to this hotel. I will suggest never select this hotel due to below reason 1. Reservation staff and office is biggest lier. They are not giving correct information to guest. 2. Reservation office told me resort is pack and rate will be 13,500. In reality it was empty and there staff told me i can come directly and i can get the room for less than 6000. And i agree with that, its very basic room with no facility. Blanket has some black mark on it amd very dirty room. 3. When i called ANKIT KHARIA from reservation as soon as I arrive at hotel, he did not answer the call as he knows the real situation at the hotel. When i sent him the whatsapp he replied saying last night we had big group booking but they cancel this morning, in fact I made booking just one hour before coming to the hotel. When i told him about that he did not reply anything after that. 4. Hotel is in worst location, there is no direct road coming to the hotel. We follow the google map and it stopped in near village and we can not go ahead from there. We have to ask local jeep driver in town and they took 2000 INR to drop us to the hotel. Entire road is full with water and mud, one way you can go there is with jeep. 5 . This guy ANKIT KHARIA is such a same for company and group, if they will employ staff like this very soon there hotels will be close and no one will stay there. If anyone wants more information on our stay at hotel DM me and i will give you more information in details. BUYT PLEASE FOR YOUR HAPPY HOLIDAYS AVOID STAYING IN THIS HOTEL AND DEALING WITH THIS PERSON ANKIT KHARIA.…

What a great experience! Fantastic place, at a magnificent location. Food delicious, service excellent, rooms very spacious and clean, everything splendid! Very well managed. And off course there are the leopards, we saw 4 off them in 3 safari's! Many, many kinds of special birds too. Highly recomended!

Stayed at Amritara during a recent trip to Rajasthan. Arun and the team are par excellence in all aspects. We stayed for 2 days and did the safaris - morning and evening. Arvind who is one of the safari guides is amazing. He can spot leopards with his naked eye that some people have issues even when looking with binoculars and his driving skills are too good. We saw leopards in both our safaris. Thanks Arvind. The property is well laid out and the view of the Jawai Bandh is spectacular. Arun who is the chief out there is outstanding. He explains and shows you things around the property and trails that one can discover on walks during the sunset. The bonfire in the evening should definitely not be missed. A remote property the road getting to property is very rough !! Extremely nice stuff .. food is delicious .. if you want non veg food inform them once you check in ! clean comfortable room , towel and bed linen need some update .. I was checking out early in the morning no one was there to help me with luggage which was not a big deal for me because I travel light , but might be problem for other ( I mention previous night I will leave early )

First of all the best part of hotel is there location..hotel situated at in forest near jawai dam which Give this hotel great view. Stayed here two nights and had an excellent leopard sighting during the morning jeep safari. The food was excellent and I must mention the challenges they had to overcome in providing such good food. At the time of my visit there had been heavy (late) rains and the area around the camp was inundated. This meant a trip by rowing boat between the jeep and camp (+ luggage on arrival and departure) along a track they would normally drive along! The rooms are very comfortable, views superb and the recently installed WiFi was 100% reliable. Many thanks to Mr Narendra Singh (General Manager), Jaswant Singh (Operations Manager) and Arvind (the naturalist/driver) for keeping everything on track. Highly recommended!
