Excellent hospitality and the ambiance!!! As we are also hoteliers from kodaikanal, plans every year our group (staff) vacation. This is 2022, we choose Thekkady and after researching the accomodation came to a great decesion to choose " Springdale Heritage Resort ", that was the best decision. We were group of 35pax and opted for 1 night stay at Springdale on June 27,2022. Mr.Sujo, the reservation manager has helped from the beginning explaining the resort, facilities, activities to do in Thekkady, and managing the food menu as per our preference and what not. Since it's a group booking and there would be change in every thing and we had lots of changes till last minute, still Sujo helped us in all the arrangements with the smile. We reached around 6pm, and Sujo welcomed and guided us to our respective rooms. Note : They have different categories of rooms like Heritage, deluxe, suite etc. After a small freshen-up we went to the pool and enjoyed, and it's followed by bon fire with music. We ended up the day with buffet dinner of our choice, all the stewards helped us with our needs. Appreciated 👍 The next day started drizzling and we gone to Elephant Junction for Elephant ride which is one of the new experience for our group,we are all enjoyed and back to report for our lunch. The lunch is really cool with Kerala meals with fish fry and Calicut biriyani. Thereafter we freshen-up and started back to our work place. Our Vacation got over soon,but it's one of the best memory to keep.. Thanks to Springdale Team, we wish them a huge success 😊😊😊

Visited this amazing place during Christmas vacation. It was worth the stay. Completely loved the place & the food was delicious. A big thanks to their hospitality. Especially, the staff were so sweet and they welcomed us whole heartedly. All the services were properly provided on time. We actually asked them to decorate the room for a birthday surprise and all the arrangements were fantastically done. Yet we stayed for just 2 days, they were memorable. Would definitely recommend this place to others. Thankyou for the fabulous stay. Must say, we are already missing it. Will surely visit again ☺️

The resort, the staff and its environment are good and pleasant, however because of poor management there were lots of discomforts. The swimming pool tiles were broken which caused small injuries to couple of my family members.
I booked the resort through makemytrip and upon reaching the resort the staff demanded Rs.1500/ person for a gala dinner which was organised for the New year eve that was not mentioned while booking. Had to literally argue and got the check in done. Finally Makemytrip stepped in and paid the complete Rs.12000 (8 people, 1.5k per person) for us . After that the reception staff mentioned that we can attend the gala dinner and its completely free of cost. The dinner and drinks were ok, however while checking out, we received another surprise bill worth 3k for the softs drinks and drinks which we had in the Gala dinner. Its a kind of cheating from the resort staff through incorrect information. I will not recommend this place to anyone until they are ready to be as transparent as possible not to ruin visitor's peaceful vacation time. No proper communication and poor management made our life horrible during our vacation with Spring Dale. We are completely disappointed.

We had a warm welcome and a cold drink on arrival.Our room was spacious and clean. It smelled divine. We had problem getting a beer on the evening and after a wait w as offered a very strong version of Kingfisher which was all that was available.We shared one and that was more than enough. Breakfast was okay with choices of Indian food but we had omelettes instead.Serving staff very pleasant. Nice pool but did not get chance to use it. Only complaint was not enough hot water . Basic toiletries provided.Could not locate a hairdryer but had my own. Parking available.

Springdale resort is a good place to saty for family and friends. Responsive staffs and service was good. Breakfast was good and hygienic. Rooms were good and well maintained. Special reference to Shiny in front office. Thanks to all the staffs in Springdale who made our stay comfortable and memorable.
Note: swimming pool alone should be maintained a bit more.

A very nice place to stay in Thekkady. A resort type with high quality standard rooms. Staffs are very supportive and helpful. A place support us to relax with a high standard ambiance and surrounded with nice trees. A very old projector in their ampie theatre is a must to watch. This was an amazing stay. This place is more attractive and pleasing than what you see in the photos. One drawback we had was that this resort is inside a crowded local spot. But the resort the rooms and services provided were enchanting and memorable. Our 2 yr old son too enjoyed the pool and the spacious cottage. Loved this cottage and highly recommend this resort.

Hi Yashzoya, You should book a cab for your Kerala tour. The driver will pick you up from Kochi airport and then you can head to Munnar. We stayed two nights in Munnar and loved it. From there you should go to Thekkady. Periyar Tiger reserve is very famous in Thekkady, apart from that, not many places. Check the boat safari timings and enusre you reach before then. Springdale Heritage is quite far from the main city but we really liked our stay there. It was worth the extra hours of travel. Your grandparents will like the place, my parents loved it though so much of car travel may be a problem for them. From there you should go ti Alleppey and stay in a houseboat. Have a great trip !
